After interacting with so many people that have committed murder, I knew almost immediately it was Robert just by the way he carried himself. The rest gave themselves away. When they were telling their stories, all used hand gestures. One used a menacing stance and demeanor. Robert was the only one who stood like they had been part of the system. Military or prison, they get the gestures while talking out of you. Plus 90-95% of the time he was in parade rest. Another system “thing” that they do. Also his facial mannerisms. The other people moved too much and their faces where too “I’ve never been in jail ever/for a long time for anything real”. Something about the way they hold their face while talking is different too.

They would know the same thing we know so it’s understandable to think he doesn’t deserve the amount of time he was given. And there cannot be another side to this if the other person involved is dead. And you realize that there are people that go to jail or prison and even the death penalty for crimes they didn’t commit. That’s because the jury and the judge don’t always get it right. That said, I don’t believe he deserved the punishment that he got.

Kinda late, but you honestly believe a random stranger abducted him at a random train stop, invited him over for drinks... And then pulled a gun on him and called his friend to come over? He also decided not to call the cops and robbed the man for his belongings afterwards and used the mans car to drive home? I think this is the fake story he gave court to try to get out of what he actually did. He broke into someone's house, he then murdered them and stole their money and belongings and drove off in their vehicle. No doubt in my mind Robert meant to rob the home, I'm not sure he intended to murder the guy but I do think he broke into someone's home and tried to rob it and then the guy he was robbing pulled a gun on him after catching him mid theft and he grabbed a pan and started smacking the home owner to death. That's the story I believe and what the court most likely believed.
