Oh man, my straight hair was more work and I didn't even do anything to take care of it, lol. Just trying to keep it straight and smooth 24/7 was a pain, and I used to think it didn't grow because it would stay at upper back length and never get longer. It was so damaged, and I didn't exercise because I didn't want to sweat my hair out. Now I'm not as scared to sweat, and although it's not ideal lol, I can get caught in a little rain and my day isn't over.
Ooh, keeping your hair moisturized throughout the week is a good one. There have been plenty of times where I wore my hair up multiple days in a row and didn't feel like restyling and waiting for it to dry before putting it up and I always regret it when it comes time to detangle 😣
at 31 years old the majority of your tips are things I NEVER KNEW I've always straightened my hair and never wore it curly so I never learned how to manage and care for it growing up. For the past 2 years I've been trying to go natural but have been hitting soo many roadblocks. Today was one of those days wishing to give it up! But I will persist!! So THANK YOU for helping my on my curly journey!!
1. Moisturize throughout the week. 2. trim hair. 3.Finger detangle. 4. Flexy brush. Work from bottom to top. BONUS TIP. From me. Use oil on ends and seal with a bit of vaseline
me: conditions hair, moisturises everyday, puts on hair mask and brushes like crazy also me after moving for one second: **tangled, too-fluffy, knotty ugly hair**
Oolala love this video sis! So helpful! Thank you for it! Have you ever done a favorite deep conditioner video? I would love to see an updated one I’m sooo obsessed with deep conditioning now and deep conditioners I would love to see some of your favs so I can add more to my collection. Also can you do a video on your favorite leave ins and moisturizers? And oils that you use during the week after you refresh your curls. Thanks in advance! xoxo
My 3 year olds hair is amazing but it takes me at least an hour if its really tangled weve got a better routine now we follow most of the tips you've mentioned so thank you, and I always wondered what type of knots those were on the end because there was a ton and literally on each strand I was looking at her hair thinking are you kidding me 1 tiny knot
Hey Mayra, I have a video on hair confidence I think you should check out. And your right its not fair. But know your beautiful and unique. Curly hair IS different and some people have a problem with it. Just know its not YOUR problem. The name calling is a reflection of them. And im going on a limb the ones that tease you have straight, flat boring hair huh? Thats also called jealously. Stay positive xoxo
Thank you for responding! And yes it's not fair at all and you guessed it flat thin boring hair and even Men calling me that too they just don't know anything about natural curly hair. I will check out your video can you please send me the link to that video :)
I actually got physically bullied.I left my hair out and some boys were like Ew and calling me names but I didn't care because everyone else said they liked it.But then they started hitting me and kicking me and one of them pulled my hair so I slapped him I mean thankfully there in different classes now.
How dare they! I have straight hair. It's pretty manageable and its thick and has volume. Sometimes I do wish I had curly hair though. Curly hair is so pretty.
Heyyyy I have VERY VERY curly hair, so as a result I get a crap load of knots, tangles, matted hair, fairly knots ect, a tip is to brush out your hair every night before bed and put it in a braid, then brush it out when you wake up 💕
People will never be able to run their hands through my curls and that makes me sad. :( and I love my curly hair but it is sooo much work to keep it looking 'good'
i dont use a flexi brush, i use my denman brush. i dont use the denman to detangle though, i finger detangle a bit in the shower to get the big knots out and i use my denman brush like once every 4 washes to get more defined curls (and it also detangles ofc). but i only use the denman to technically style, i dont use it to try to detangle, it happens on its own lol
Hello! Thank youu for this video !!! I personally get fairy knots all the time so this was very helpful... I was wondering if you have/or could make a video about going to sleep with wet hair. Sometimes I know i will not wake up in time to 'wash and go' in the morning so i try and do it before bed and i wake up to a mess !
Is there anybody with curly hair and oily scalp? I've noticed curlies suffer from dry scalp and often need to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. I am the opposite. I have curly hair but extremely oily scalp. I wash my hair once a week now which has helped to cut down the oils, but it is still bad enough that I have to avoid anything moisturizing or deep conditioning. The only products I can put in my hair are stuff that gets rid of oils. I can't use most curly hair products because they moisturize the scalp and leave me with oily hair. I am at my wits end on what to do with my hair. I just recently added layers to it to help with the weight and knots. But the knots and matting have tripled now and I am debating dreadlocks or shaving it off at this point.
I love my curly hair but goddamn is it ever a hassle to take care of!!!!!!!

Goddamn, takes me like an hour to brush my mess that’s a reason why I’m getting fluffy short hair-

You should do a video on how often you wash your hair. For example: do you wash every 3 days or every 4 days etc. Very pretty hair.
Gamechanger to finger comb hair from bottom up. Thank you!

... but then your hair goes frizzy, which is the main reason why most of us don’t really brush our hair unless necessary ;/
Nicole da Silva bad advice. Don’t brush curly hair dry, it causes frizziness
I have VERY curly and thickk hair qhen i brush my hair it HURTS soooo badd but i am gunna tdy these tips!!!
I have other detangling videos on my channel too !

thank you so much!
I tried mousse today... I feel like I’m in sticky glue

I've also found that blow drying my hair even with a diffuser clumps my frizzy, dry hairs together. I might be cutting heat out altogether.
I recommend it
When i use the normal comb to detangle it’s hurt and it’s pulling out my hair , now i can detangle whenever with my wet brush , it’s amazing
The wet brush is a great brush as well!
Thanks for the tips
my hair knots at the back of my hair right next to my scalp and it’s gets SO BAD, and tips ?

Maybe try shampooing with a dehydrating shampoo and conditioning with something oily! Conditioner isn’t supposed to get close to the scalp anyways
This makeup look is 🔥 tho
Gosh my sisters hair is very straight and she has huge knots, I can’t imagine undoing a knot with curly hair like yours lol
thumbnail is at 4:45
why must i have curly hair
That’s the whole point of video because we can’t brush our curls
*you cant*
