Thank you guys for the AoS content from tier 4 lockdown in the UK. It is not the same as playing but as we can't do that, it is great to see people who love the game playing each other.
I love that Luka loves Soulblight cause it's my favorite army. Soulblight are soooo hard to play in this meta because any tactical mistake is fatal for them. Sorry Luka but you made a lot of them. You guys brought a great battrep with cool armies. Thank you
As a Greywater Fastness player, we need more Greywater Fastness games hahaha. Also I would love to see the two new cities, I love watching Matthew play Cities of Sigmar!
Now... Imagin this cool Picture : Battleflield is in full carnage, fights left and right but the Zombiedragon with that Vampirelord on top just hoverd over the entire fight while he takes a delicate sip from that chalice before taking a grip of his lance, turning the dragon and just diving right into the fight aiming for the enemy warlord.. . Now THAT would be something ^^
also, artifacts on the steamtank commander do not benefit the weapons from the tank (see little textbox on the commanders warscroll) because that would be actually useful and we cannot have THAT!
World of Warcraft Shadowlands seems to have taken a bit of inspiration from the Age of Sigmar Mortal Realms in how they setup their 4 realms in Shadowlands.
I personally like the concept of the double turn. I find it breaks the flow in a meaningful way as sometimes it's just a robotic back and forth. Then again I'm also a fan of completely "random" dynamic turns from Bolt Action.
The Ven Breicht black watch specifically mentions Vampires. While there’s hints of a UW’s warband, we’ve gotten bands that aren’t supported by a whole range. Honestly I think the black watch is the biggest “it’s coming” sign
Think it's been mentioned, but unless it got FAQd, "Working like Clockwork" allows the Hell blaster to re-roll ANY dice determining its number of shots, NOT just the entire roll. This was still a really good batrep, and I really enjoyed seeing a nearly all Duardin army on the table!
It's worth noting that the cogsmith can allow a helblaster to reroll ANY dice it wants on its attacks not just the whole thing. So if you roll a double you can just reroll one of them or if you dont want a 1 you can risk rerolling just that.
When I play AOS i use the dispossesed stuff from the generals handbook as its fairly effective. my friends let me use legends stuff as my army is a fantasy dwarfs one, I just proxy organ guns as celestar ballistas
I am happy to see the cities of Sigmar being brought to the table. only thing that bummed me out about this video is that you can't bring a full dwarf list Mathew. I still find it silly that GW cut off a lot of the fantasy dwarf roster. Thank you for the video!
Going off of what Matt said about The Undying King and how they depicted Shyish. I think it would be kind of cool if either there were new humans for the Vampire faction. Or maybe 1 in 4 units in the Vampire army can be Freeguild (or Cities) units which would represent the human followers or thrall followers.
It would be interesting to see the mortals you talk about have a "reanimation protocol" for the death mortals. But it only goes off once with hero nearby or army ability. The dead models would have a different stat line. Could be cool.
2:02:00 Privateer Press's Iron Kingdoms setting and games are at least as gonzo and non-traditional fantasy as AoS is, and have been around longer - they started while WFB was still a thing. The old (and long dead) Crucible game from the original FASA was nearly as bizarre, albeit nowhere near as popular. Chronopia was also pretty far out there, albeit not quite as much so as AoS. There have been a couple of different stabs at doing wars in pseudo-Christian Hell, Heaven, or both over the years that were at least as weird as AoS, but they never caught on.
*best soulblight strategy: hope for the doubleturn* . I really cannot recommend *One Page Rules* Age of Fantasy enough. Rules and armybooks are free to download, a beautiful fanmade Age of Sigmar alternative, no double turns, alternating unit activations, great balance, very easy to learn. Just give it a shot, worth it for all Warhammer fantasy fans! (and for all those age of sigmar fans that still find the double turn mechanic to be wanting) :) They have a classic rank and file alternative aswell.
@@richmcgee434 Not trying to convert anyone but just tried onepagerules for the first time and I think I will never return to the double-turn GW variant ever again ^^. Everyone can decide for themselves, just give it a try :)
What do you think about vampirates? Seems like Dreadfleet might get ressurected and Noctilus become a new Mortarch. Imagine all the cool units from the total war game coming to life on the tabletop?
