I just want all the viewers of this channel to know that the insights, advice, techniques, knowledge and encouragements from this channel truly work. Thanks to a countless number of videos in this channel, I just got a job I really wanted. Thank you so much.
I once asked the same question during my very 1st interview in 2003 and I said " I workout out a lot and lift 350lbs in squat exercise". The interviewer gave me a puzzled look and said "what does it have to do with the job you're applying for? I was stunned and was unable to respond. Didn't get the job but it's funny whenever I remember it.
Been watching your videos all day. Have a job interview for a Training Supervisor position tomorrow. Hope it goes well. I have learned so much from you that I’m confident I’ll ace it!! *Update* I 100% aced my interview, after about 2 hrs after the interview, I received an offer. I was expecting anywhere from 50-55k salary, they offered 60k!! I literally couldn’t believe it, and of course I accepted. Good luck to everyone and I hope you ace your interviews, just remember to be confident and be prepared!
Hello, this is great advice. However, I'm about to go into a job interview where the company has posted several soft skills as requirements for the position (e.g., communication skills, positive attitude, etc.), so if I am going down the list of requirements, I would have to speak to each of those soft skills and demonstrate that I have them through my education and experience. Update: this was literally the first question they asked me. I went through the soft skills they required on the job listing, speaking to each one, and I got the job (Hiring Manager for an ESL company). Thank you for your excellent tutorials on preparing for job interviews.
Watched this together with most of your other videos from your "Get Hired" Playlist. Today in the morning i had a video conference for a well paid laboratory position and right now found out they're hiring me! Thank you very much for this series!
10:05 you are SO right about this point. Five years ago I applied for a job. In the advert for the job, it read that the company was looking for someone who was assertive! I loved that! I applied and got the job and have been there 5 years. Interestingly I am Receptionist!
I feel so grateful about channel creator content. Here are really experts of companies. Yesterday I got an interview to get in Foundever CR and I succed cause I studied 15 common interview questions and I got ready, confident and I sold myself as the best candidate, so now I just need some training to work for Capital One. It makes me feel proud of effort realized.
Thank you for your helpful videos ...last week i had an internal interview in a very big organisation and after watching you videos repeatedly i got selected although the very hard competition...thanks again for your help
One key to remember is that if the interviewer does not agree with you on which strengths are important, that job may not be a good fit for you long term. This strategy is still good, but be aware that you have to figure out that your manager will or will not appreciate you long term.
Your video advices are the most clear, simple and structured among all the content I’ve already watched on RUclips. Thank you very much! Merci! Spasibo!
This video and other "interview questions" videos are gold! They are solid advice. It's simple, straight forward, and makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing your wisdom to the masses!
Amazing video. I have an interview for a supervisor position in two weeks and I almost all of the skills listed in the job description. I was slightly nervous because I haven't done an interview in a long time but watching this video put my nerves at ease. I'm really good at communication but the idea of performing for an interview always had me nervous. Thank you.
@@mistressmozart got the job ✌️ couldn't use everything because systematically here in Germany the process is a little different. But it helped me big time just to know what the question behind the question is and what to say and not to. Highly recommend these videos
Last job I interviewed for was a customer facing position. The regional director interviewed me in the first round and passed me on to the next because I looked him in the eye when engaging in the answers. He mentioned that afterword he had many candidates that he turned down because they couldn’t look him in the eye.
Thank you for all these great tips and confidence building. Just with you saying we are awesome is enough to have the confidence to apply everything you teach us. Blessings to you!
Hi, no matter how much I prepare for, I always get nervous at interviews, when I'm at my work I'm like super confident, I've interacted with World Leaders, Big Corporates and what not, but when it comes to interview's I get a bit nervous. How to overcome this?
Thank you for the insights. Could you please talk about what a person can do after age 40, to be specific I mean what sort of work he should be focusing on?
In my industry, 95% of the time, creative graphic design roles have a laundry list of disciplines that never actually touch the job itself. The job itself is not fully understood by the hiring teams and they create vague and redundant parameters to cover everything. Then when it comes to asking into the position…they have no idea what the job entails in real life, so I’ve found questions like…”Can you put a logo on a shoe?” Which is like asking a chef if they know how to boil water. My field is visual based and they look at my portfolio and can’t figure out what is my work? “It’s all my work.” Twenty years of experience and the work shows a wide variety of projects and you find the hiring managers cannot discern what they are seeing. So, their questions become non-performance based and almost offensive like “Can you put a logo on a shoe?”
Strengths for a job are the equivalent of Key Selection Criteria. Additionally, we can subtly mention the handling of Balance Score Card, measurement, and Kaizen skills. But I suppose that one must already be in the job to apply Kaizen and CQI.
I watch a lot of other career/interview advice. This has got to be one of the best channels on RUclips in terms of interviewing and interview prep. Outstanding guidance and content in each video. Do you have a LinkedIn page? Or a site for consumers, other than your business page?
After playing the somanieth interviewing video you've shared, I just couldn't pass along without commenting. Thank you for sharing all this! It really helped in finding and specifying my answers.
These videos are helpful. I am about to retire from the USAF and I haven't applied for a job in over 20 years. I will be doing skillbridge program (essentially interning for the last 6 months of your career), but how to write a resume, or dress and conduct your self in an interview is a foreign world to me. The military has the TAPS program to help us transition, but they have turned it into a death by PowerPoint. Thanks for producing these videos. I do have a question, if you wouldn't mind answering or producing a video for. What questions should I ask during an interview and when?
I'm glad many others have discovered this channel. In my experience RUclips is full of other videos that are mostly gibberish that are unusable...at least to me.
If my strength doesn't match what they need . . . then it's not a good fit. Are we just trying to lane a job or land a job that matches my strengths so it's a win-win
i moved to an area where i applied for a warehouse position, had 23 years of experience, never got an interview, but an email saying I wasn't qualified, even though I met the requirements on everything.

Very effective ways of handling an interview, I just finished a difficult one.
_"Why should we hire you?"_ Gets me every time!!😆
I’m always tempted to answer “You tell me, your advert has been up for months so you obviously need someone to fill the role” 😂
Great stuff!!! Thank you for the content. Your closing with “you are awesome” is inspirational.

This is helpful. Thank you
You are the best. Great advice! Thank you! Muchas Gracias!
Had a job interview this morning. When I got back to the truck, I noticed a lower shirt button had come undone at some point during the interview. #brutal
Interviewer: What are your strengths?
Me: Yes, I can bench 190 lbs
'What are your strengths?' I'm good at puns, and I can make a noise like wine coming out of a bottle.
Nice!
Thank you for the video!
That's very helpful thanks a million ! How about a job position required 3 years experience but you don't have it?
Thank you
Thanks!
No problem, Biandry!
This was very enlightening. Thanks!
Very often asking banal questions means that they already are not interested. From that moment the quality of the answer is not important.
great video!
You re awesome ❤
Amazing advice.

Great points.
