Micro Tv you are objectively wrong. Adding offline modes won’t affect your mp experience, and can only improve sales/add more people to mp lobbies. There is no valid argument against offline.
William Roman-Ros as much as I like playing offline, it would be way too boring without any real players. There’s no real threats to fight against like Jedi and sith. They should really focus on adding new characters, maps, and improving the AI before they work on offline mode

Droidikas changed the meta so that more people are using ion weapons more
People have already been switching to ion grenades for turrets and the heavies shield or the officers bubble. However you are right about blasters using ion shots more often it lowers their effectiveness against vehicles and infantry but increases it against shields

Droideka’s should not be able to activate the bombs on the capital ships. I lost a match as the Republic because the Droidekas could out pace every republic player.
Similar situation in strike mode on Kamino. Droideka picks up objective, rolls straight to the extraction point, and instantly wins the round. It’s so cheap.

I think they should control zones but not activate bombs or other key purposes. They have guns for arms

The real injustice is being able to arm the bombs as heros since you can easily tank damage.
They could capture the flag in the original as well though

The way I would balance it is make the shield twice as strong while stationary, and less strong (how it is now) when moving. Being stationary would also increase the damage output. I think it would help emphasize the "tank" role it has.

Gotta use tactics. They're great for flanking then getting the f out of dodge. Pushing forward with friendlies. These things are to be used as shock troopers, at least for now.

Honestly, I agree that the droideka should have a little more shield strength, but other than that, they're really good units.
They're also mainly defensive..

They haven't fixed everything. CS game mode is still barebones, and not as good as OG Battlefront 2. The lightsaber combat is also atrocious, some of the worst I've ever played.
Caesar Belisarius should resemble Jedi Academy but who am I to judge ? Oh yeah, the fucking consumer who provides your company/industry the funds to even make shit ! They need to look at all the old games and literal fucking shows and see how someone uses a lightsaber. The motion is fluid, not strict and stiff. If anyone should fight like that, then it's Obi-Wan since his Mastery of Soresu allows him to maintain an almost impregnable defense against lightsaber strikes and blaster fire 😎

The completely different way of playing the droideka forces the player to, gives me hope that the next game becomes a tactical war game and not a cod/overwatch game as it is now

Well to be honest, and I'm not trying to sound negative here, but the Droideka could really use a buff to their shield, but not too much. As their blaster damage, well its all okay. Their damage at close range is pretty decent for the Droideka, and as you said, trying to fire at someone at long range is just an invitation for them to come and kill you. Their splash damage is also okay, got really no complaints there either.
All in all, I think the Droideka is a very much welcomed addition to Star Wars Battlefront II. Though, I was a little disappointed that you couldn't knock over people while speeding at them in rollie mode, like the OG games. But I'd imagine everyone probably wouldn't like that at all.
About not knocking over enemies while rolling.
That's one thing I wished they changed with the game in general . No clipping through other players please. I don't care if on the rare occasion some asshole tries to block my path. I can live with it!
If anything let us knock over our enemies

This is why I'm glad Capital Supremacy is Clone Wars only. I don't have to deal with playing in the eras I don't care about as much.

I haven’t played Battlefront 2 in a long, long time.

I left because it seemed as though things weren’t changing and felt really repetitive.
Dharmesh Mistry I say no. I played the beta, I played on release, and I’ve played off and on since then. There have been some changes, some new characters, but the base classes still feel just as repetitive and unrewarding, as does the main gameplay loop.
I leave the shield off until I take half my health damage. Soon as you pop it you're a glowing target to every sniper in visual range. The ball is so short you can hide behind cover you normally couldn't crouch behind.
Pain in the Butt for me to play against, but a cool addition

easy as piss to kill with the CR2 or FWMB with Ion shot attachments, especially on the CR2 as you can take a smart ion grenade with them.
if you can, just sit back and strip their shields for friends to kill it, Ive found the main selling point for droideka's is that jedi usually run off when they see them, as they cant
bullshit forcepower you into oblivion(they have a resistance to force pull/push abilities) and their "screw you your blasters are deflected" doesint work with the explosive shots, if they run, a droideka WILL catch them as well, which i like.
still, if a hero can find the courage to close the distance, they can easily be beat in melee, as they have no melee attack at all, bad side of this, instead f cqc THEY JUST KEEP SHOOTING POINT BLANK, so stay in its rear if you can.

Do they still allow cross generation heroes in battles? That shit was immersion breaking, and was my 2nd biggest complaint. Hard to feel like I'm in a real clone war with Rey and Kylo running around. My #1 complaint was a huge lack of co-op content. I want to have conquest battles with my 7 year old like we can in BF1. I'm not exactly going to let him play online, and the offline modes are boring (hit x points to win).

It's awesome they are finally in......shame they are so easy to kill.
People say they want them buffed, but I see too many of them rolling up to a group of clones, transforming in front of them and then going "durr, why am I dead, there were only 10 of them", ie they play them wrong. On the other hand when I run into a group of droidekas with a group of fellow clones it's a massacre - unless we have a lot of explosives and focus fire a smart group of droidekas will usually win against a group of clones. As for the shield change you're considering, maybe you'd like them to get Iden's personal shield? For those that don't know, Iden's shield doesn't have a health bar, but a timer instead - basically a temporary immortality (at least against blasters) instead of extra shield hp.
My opinion is that the B2 should be nerfed and BO cost lowered to 1,000 and the Droideka should be buffed and increased to 1,500 BP cost to balance out the two units proportionally. The ways they could go about this are :
Making ragdoll effects and roadkill when players are rammed / stepped on/ transformed on by Droidekas , buffing shield health, or increasing blaster damage

Best thing I’ve done with the Droideka is to roll in quick and roll around single enemies (in the ship boarding phase), just to fuck with people and distract them, and when I’ve gotten their attention, or held it for long enough, I roll the fuck away
Droidekas have always been op, needing multiple clones to take down. especially in the clone wars series, some clones would fire at the droidekas with chainguns and it would take some time to get their shields to drop to kill them. I Believe it would be in the best interest of ea if they were to add a better shield for them, and make the gunfire much louder. I know from playing them, and in the tv/movie series, that you could here them awhile away with their distinctive sound. that could be a good way at counteracting the much needed improved shields. Any clones or other players nearby would automatically know "there's a droideka near here" because of their distinctive sound. This could get players to work together to bring them down. I also know, as you have said, that if you can get in their shields, you can kill them. Maybe also implement this into the game to counter-act the improved shielding, if a clone/ other player manages to sneak aside or behind one of them, and moves in a crouch, they can go into the shields, and take them out with small arms fire, as seen in the clone wars. But the shield definitely needs to be upgraded.

I don’t find they need any changes other than I find a problem with it converting into ball mode when I hit the overload ability. Any quirks they currently have work as a balance. If they had stronger guns, shield or transformation speed than it would easily become incredibly over powered. Using them for hit and run or squad reinforcement rather than a tank unit if far more successful

Red boy people are about to throw a bitch fit over them becoming overpowered but that's the point sergeant ! They are the most fearsome and expensive Separatist Battle Droid for a reason ! They are living turrets and have more range than you would think thanks to the fact that their arms are fucking blaster cannons !!! What do people not understand when you hear the word blaster cannon !? Cannon's don't have fall off damage ! They keep going and devastate targets until they lose all momentum. Blaster Cannons in Star Wars operate on the same principle except the energy bolt stay in the air until it runs out of enough energy keep its shape and form before dissipating. But my ranting point is that every blaster cannon you've ever used in a Star Wars game has been devastating from any range you use it from. The weapon was meant to hold back infantry through firing rate and heavy damage. The pitiful guns they gave the Droidekas is a mockery to every blaster cannon ever made 😤😤😤
I think the only adjustment they need is a slight damage buff, because if you’re not using overload good luck killing anyone, everything else I can live with, keep shields as they are, damage fall off as it is and deploy speed, just the minor tweak I think could make them viable
Rocket troopers are the death of this game. These guys pop up from nowhere, blast you to pieces with their rocket launcher, and get back into hiding as fast as the light with their jetpacks. Droidekas don't have jetpacks and rocket launchers so i quite like them.
Where does this go on sale for 6$? Amazon has it for $15 and even GameStop wants $17 for a preowned. Looking for Xbox one.

Oh yes let's praise them for adding something in 2019 that came standard in 2005
Stinger pistol the Droideka while its in ball form. It takes away health points slowly, giving you the score of the health you take away from the Droideka. If you nail the Droideka more than 4 or 5 times with the stinger pistol, a kill is almost guaranteed.
This is probably the only reason I would reinstall EA's Battlefront II. Just so I could roll down hallways and unleashed twin blaster hell fire upon the clone troopers. >=D
Personally I prefer clones just the look and I love the Arc trooper need to add commandos but that's besides the point. Droidekas are in a good place I've played them a bit and yeah they are not meant for distance fighting and can blow the shit out of stuff but heros are their weakness at least Jedi are getting inside their shield and slicing them to pieces is definitely the best way to deal with them but a heavy or Arc trooper with charge blast makes quick work of the shield.
Droidekas work best as described using a hit and run method or just catching clones who have really dicked up their positioning. Like on CS when on the enemy cruiser when droids have to fall back and them the blast doors open to let clones through and they just get blasted it's funny to watch but as a clone always let someone else charge in first or let a hero go in and clear a path haha.
i have an idea
idea for the sniper variant of the droideka (hear me out)
unlike the droideka it would have a slow-as-a-snails pace shot wait time but has 1 shot sweet spot.
it would have a indestructable shield but only on the front. there would also be a small hole so other snipers can go toe-to-toe with it.
its (only) changed abilitie could be a 45 sec. recharge power shot that could be able to 1 shot low hp heroes in place for the faster shooting time abilitie.
what do you think?

Me and my friends played the droideka and we all hid around corners and we trapped anakin Skywalker in a corridor and he really couldn't defend much so we just killed him and we waited for troops as well it was fun I ened6with 109 kills and around 40 assists

My only problem with the Droideka is the damage fall off is too steep. I feel it should be a a close to medium range unit... It's a pea shooter most of the time just because it falls out of average engagement ranges, and if you get to close it's too easy for an assault class to kill you single handedly.
I remember watching massive play the original star wars battlefront late at night from vods of his streams. I found him again through the impressions of dutch.
They could only justify an increase in blaster noise with an increase in damage (or slight reduction in damage fall off)

Dont forget that they force dumb players to waste 1,000 battle points for a unit that will die in a matter of seconds because they are slow while transforming and the shield sucks.
Finally......finally.. :') NOW, this game is decent. A shame it took so long.
