Sir can you please reply and give me advice. Which you have 4 disc drives i don't know which one is for my ps4 pro . Can you please help and tell me how will i know which is the correct drive.
Hi Fasttech, thank you so much for making this video! I had a disc drive problem where discs weren’t loading and had to disassemble the ps4 just as you did here. But I found e problem right away, one of my kids shoved a coin pretty deep into the disc drive slot that jammed the mechanism. Once I removed that I was able to fix the problem. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without this video. You saved me upwards of $150 and about a month of time for a straightforward fix. Thank you!

Very poor engineering from sony. Why hide this thing so far away when you know its a part that gets many issues. Seeiously!!! What kind of engineering is this?
They simply do not care about repairability. They’d rather you not fix it and but a new one.

It’s because the spring is missing on the top of the black plastic structure. There is a little spring attach to it, it’s weird that you didn’t find when you make the drive jiggled for makin the little white piece fall

Thanks much, son dropped his ps from about 5’ high off a shelf and disc got wedged in there.
took me about an hour but had it all taken apart and removed . I believe i fixed the drive too but time will tell for certain.
Thanks a lot for this video! It helped me remove a disc that was stuck inside (glued!). Could be worth adding a short sequence at the end of the video to reassemble the console :p.

Could you do a video for ps4 pro error code SU 42118-6 that came from the 7.5 update? I tried everything (safe mode, usb method) and resorted to ordering a new drive from your site (I hope the drive comes with ribbon cables)

I have a disk drive + READER of a functional CUH-7115B, could I install that in a CUH-7015B console? The letor of the cuh 7015b is damaged.

Hey great channel man. Cleaned my ps4 pro cuh 7115b and changed all the pads and paste but now it won’t update. For a fact I messed up my disc drive. Will buying one from you fix it? It turns on and works well but won’t update.

For your own sake, do not do business with them. Worst service of my life, 5 months in, I still don't have my PS4 repaired. They actually lost it after I sent it to the address they told me... which was their old location, they forgot to give me the new address and lost my PS4, no sign of compensation in any way.. I got completely scammed.

Yow men, i also disassembled my PS4 Pro. I followed each and every step. I never missed one. After cleaning it, i assembled it again, tried to open my PS4 Pro, now it says, unrecognized disc. What do u think is the problem? Its perfectly working before i tried to clean it. But now i cant play :-(
Note* i didnt touch the disc drive. I stopped disassembling right after i removed the motherboard. I didnt touch the fan as well.
Hi, is optical drive on PS4 pro "married" to the motherboard or can I just swap old drive with new (same model) drive and the console will work as before?

Hey I watched your dust build up video I cleaned out my heat sync trying to stop my loud fan and now my PS4 is overheating any idea how I can fix it?
you either didnt reapply thermal paste or didnt put the heat sink back on properly

These are all the same consoles but sold in different countries.
So u need to replace the thermal paste when doing this
Yes you should since the mainboard and heatsink has to be separated.
I realigned the rollers and reassembled everything. Now it won’t even accept the disc. Does anybody know what did I do wrong?
My ps4 pro won't accept discs but the problem was coming from the eject button. I disconnect the cable between the eject button and the motherboard and no more bip bip bip !

Hey guys so I took my ps4 pro apart inspected the disc drive a bit and then reassembled everything but the disc drive doesn’t work anymore it takes the disc in sometimes but nothing happens it doesnt read anything doesn’t even show unrecognized disc what can I do so the disc drive works again PLEASE help.

Don't try and wiggle the connectors, just broke the PSU connector off the board by wiggling it 😠
You must have wiggled it from the mainboard connector and not the cable.
@@fasttechvideo nah the cable came.off with connecter, I'd honestly say it was poorly soldered, didn't take much force at all
@@xPertKief sorry to hear that, unless a trace is ripped you should be able to solder it back on with with mediocre difficulty.
