very helpful, thanks. I have found an even faster way if you have a lot of images, which is using my old Mac ( 2015 macbook pro running Yosemite) and using preview app to download the images. Because the Mac is so old, it does not do HEIC format and will download all the images in JPG format. My new Macbook air will download them all as HEIC which is super annoying. Sometimes I wonder why Apple makes things so difficult. But great to know there are so many other ways

You are a saviour. The iMazing app worked. The first method did not give me a "Quick Action", but instead a "Quick Look" which didn't work. Apple needs to make this an automatic/choice action in their iPhoto!

I m running macOS Siera , does this function support on that ? couldn’t find the Quick action button instead it’s showing as Service button . And when I right click on a HEIC image it doesn’t show the Quick action button . Pls help .

you know you can just change the name from .HEIC to .JPEG on you desktop and it will automatically change file type. This is overcomplicated
