    When making the molds make a secondary "breathing" hole for air to escape when pouring the resin

    • @SolarfallBaits
      @SolarfallBaits  4 года назад +1

      It really depends on the orientation of the casted piece (and its shape) in the mold or the molds orientation when you pour if such a hole is nesasary. Usually its a good idea but the way i pour these its not needed.

I am interested but have no clue where to start without looking at the tools you use and trying to look them up at the hardware store. Maybe start by considering what you think you need to spend at a minimum and use that as a budget.

    hey man Last question:))) when it comes to the form cast burro, have you had any issues with water damage to the baits? the bait i"m making will not be sealed off the same way you did with an outer epoxy coating and i'm wondering any damage might occur to the bait due to water exposure like maybe bloating/swelling or even water absorbtion. Also, how does the durability/ hardness of the bait compare to mass produced hard baits like the plastic used on rapala crankbaits. Is it softer? If so is there something more comparable to mass produced baits you would recommend. Thanks!

      Its solid clear resin on the one in the video but i could easilly use the same mold to make flexible ones too

    What did you use to glue the hook eyes into the bait?

    • @SolarfallBaits

      They are not glued but molded into the body

    Awsome i love it you are the King 😁👌👌 you dont have problem whit the silicone drying after a few baits? I made about 30 baits in a mold and then the scales started to disapear. Btw your neighbours cant like you very much... Black metal and powertools 😂😂😂

    • @SolarfallBaits
      @SolarfallBaits  5 лет назад

      I dont have that issue, i spay little bit of mold release in the molds once in a while, that seems to help quite a bit, you could use mold oils too that are designed to combat that issue you were talking about.
