This lure is cool as hell. The buzzbait spinner on the back fin is a stroke of genius.
I concur.
Kablamo!!!!! Big fish will be caught with that beauty
Word.
I have a hunch that we will see a mass produced hard plastic version of this show up on the market.. it’s a really good idea.
If Finn can draw that stuff at 2 years old he is going to be a world famous artist some day.
Dang man! I can't imagine my 3 year old drawing like that! Finn is going to be talented just like you!
My father told me that as a boy he saw schools of quillback so large they darkened the water in the little coal river in WV. Then the coal mines came in and the runoff killed all of them in the 50s and 60s. They are native, so they are special. No carp species is native to North America, only suckers are. So to me, the quillback is a National Treasure that should be appreciated.
I was fishing on the elk river here in West Virginia and I'm pretty sure I seen a few schools of these fish not as large as you have mentioned but I think these special lil fish are still there
Back before overfishing there used to be boiling swarms of feeding white bass that would be on top of the water for days...
In Florida round my area I heard you used to be able to cast a bare hook out and catch a tarpon every cast, now your extremely lucky if you even see one
Suckers are incredibly underappreciated and incorrectly assumed to be dirty by fishermen. We need to respect them more both as an important part of the ecosystem and as a type of fish to catch
I hate carp haters tho
That was the most beautiful paintjob I have ever seen. So natural and so much depth and pearlescent colors like real fish. The lure concept is amazing too! Loved this video!
Chelsea did a stellar job on the treble hook, That thing was a work of art!
Oh my lanta, this one belongs in an art museum, the paint scheme, the buzz spinner, the feathered treble. Absolutely gorgeous.
This has to be the greatest looking lure you have ever produced!
Thank you for the videos. Here's to hoping the fish start bitting soon.
Hopefully this afternoon 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
The music during the carving is absolutely perfect.
Your satisfaction with the buzzblade made me smile
Hahaha!!! As a tradesmen I appreciate your skill in lure making. Having said that I really come here for your funny faces, sound effects and hands gestures!!!!
Please don't stop!!
Chelsea is a welcome addition to the channel I feel like she adds volumes to the show , would love to see her do the treble in real time?
Thru the years you've finally polished your craft! This is cool as hell!!
If I had to watch anyone make baits it’s this guy he puts a specific twist of humor into it that is amusing enough to keep you watching
I love watching your lure-making but I was just blown out of the water by your son's drawings. He's HOW OLD and he drew those? He has crazy good motor skills already to get such nice and neat and readable lines and coloring. Wow. He already has the artist's touch at such a young age. I love his Elvis and the little amoeba flower!
I'm very impressed with Fin's Elvis drawing!!!! 😉😍❤️
Can’t wait till summer so you can test all of these winter baits! I’ve watched you for over a year and you videos just keep getting better!
I love the music choice and variety when watching these videos. As a fisherman and a musician it’s perfect
This as a swim bait would have been the most beautiful bait you’ve ever made. As far as the paint job it’s the best one I’ve seen from you.
Holly cow this is amazing! Thank you for all the awesome uploads!
So should we be anticipating “wH-one day!” projects in the near future? You (both) do phenomenal work. Thanks for continuously sharing and inspiring!! 😁
You make some incredible baits, but your wife's tying skills impress me every time.
I came for the chaotic energy. I stayed for the excellent bait making. Very good.
2:11 the sound effects makes that so good
With the usually music you used to listen to in the background, I would’ve never expected your choice in carving montage music. I like it 👍🏻
I’ve been watching for about 5 years. I think this is my favorite bait.
Seeing the chisel work is super satisfying 🤷
I don’t even fish but I’ve watched your videos a long time. Very good forget the world content.
The look at the end, priceless! Keep them coming, keeps the day a whole lotta better Sir! 🙏
I think this is the best looking fishing lure I have ever seen. The brilliant concept itself. The perfect tail feathers. The fantastic painting. When you applied the final clear coat, I said-out loud-"Oh my god, that looks fucking gooooood." Just incredible.
U are the best lure maker
Applause👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 ❤❤❤❤💕💕💕💖💖💖
That is some amazing art from father and son, keep up the amazing work Nate, Chelsie and Finn
"Chip stop throwing up!" Had me laughing out loud!🤣🤣
that feather tie off the back just brings it all together
incredible work. lol as a kid back in the 60’s i carved wooden baits from old broom handles. very crude but i loved doing it
Nate, your painting skills never cease to amaze me! Always worried they aren't gonna turn out and then it just comes together and looks incredible
I've been watching your old videos already this morning, now a new post?! It's a good day
Absolutely beautiful work! That feathered hook your wife made was just what that bait needed!
And I really hope that the fin on the lures back holds and doesn't break when that big pike mama comes for a taste.
TWO?????!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!!?!?
You guys just gave RE-birth to one of the great artists of the world!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!! Which one, we can't be sure yet, but he may be Salvadore Dali!!!
You NEED to nurture his artistic spirit, surrounded him at all times with any and all types of art supplies you can think of or that you can afford! Some of that crap gets pricey!!! OUCH!! Whenever you can, do some alongside him to encourage him and show him just how much fun creating really is!!!
WOW!!!! He is going to do some serious works!! I promise you!
I was looking forward to Sunday all week! You just keep getting better and better with each bait!
What a great way to start off a Sunday morning. Thanks Marling bait's!!
So excited for this one
Nate, you are inspiring to me. I'm a local Cedar Rapidian. We met at the church pond a couple of years ago right after you caught that 5 lbs. bass. Keep it up!!! It's official, fish like Marling Baits. 😊
Now that you've got me making my own baits. I appreciate the depth in your color schemes even more. Thnx for years video!
These videos really help keep my winter cabin fever away. Can't wait for it to warm up so I can see you get some fish on these awesome baits. I also hope you keep doing more soft plastic videos too!
First I said the spinner was too big and then I found out I was wrong. Lol.
Another great video.
Thanks friend.
God bless 🙏
Amazing that your 2YO can draw so well! Great video!
"im just trying to stuff the rainbow inside this fish".. Boy is there A LOT of jokes to be had from that sentence lmao 🤣🤣
Possible the coolest lure I've ever seen.
I love how you have stepped up your editing game. The added musical montage is really great.
Folgers in your cup used to be the best part of waking up on Sundays.
Now it's Marling Baits videos.
Tell Chelsie hi, and that her tie looks amazing! 💜
This has to be considered “over the top” detail for a single lure. Insane detail!
Loved the editing you did for this, good timing and not overdone.
Really sweet bait can't wait to see you make all the baits you have made official when it warms up again.
I love the nerve wracking tight shots of the box cutter carving, so much internal tension every time for me.
Sweet bait, BTW.
Finn is a chip off the old block, incredible drawing skills for his age!
Pike and muskie are going to seriously smash that thing 👏 👏👏👍
Now that's unique! Beautiful bait.
Wow! Very bold choice on the buzz spinner! Very excited to see results
Oh-oh-oh Dude! I really appreciate the early morning Sunday uploads. Great to watch while having breakfast. Thanks for this banger video, as they say :P
I cant wait to see a video of you teaching Fin how to fish, good old dad and son time.
You’re a damn genius, man.
That first song was an absolute banger!
12:37 You just know that this is not the first time that Chelsea has heard him say this....😄
Im loving video quality getting better and better.. best channel in the world..
Seeing past videos of yours you have inspired me to make my own baits as well. And I just put the first clear coat on my first ever lure.
She's good at tying those trebels
That is one of your best 👌 I cool . And the treble hook your wife tied is awsome nice job.
Really liked the music choice great bait
Wow!! It looks awesome keep up the good work
This music gave that whole cut a antique road show opening scene 😂😂 vibe
Been watching him make awesome baits over a year now, never ceases to amaze me.
That’s some heroic carving music there marling
Oh! HI Chelsy!!!!!
good you see you again. It's been just us boys in the shop! lol
That drawing is absolutely epic for a 2 years old
so I have had really really bad internet for the last few years and have missed out on a lot of video, TV shows, etc etc. I am back to watching your videos and I am very glad to see you are still out there killing it! That is one of my favorite things you have ever made. Damn that looks good in the water!
I really like this lure
Genius idea to put that buzz on the top!! Can’t wait to see the video of a big ol Pike smashing that thing in the creek!!! Keep em comin man!! I’ll
Keep watching the vids🤙🏻
My favorite lure I've ever seen u make
Morning baits and coffee 👍🤩😆
Very cool. Before you put that pearl on the paint job you had a really nice channel catfish thing going with the black fleck in the clear coat.
LOVED this build!
By fare the best looking bait I’ve seen! Nice job Nate.
It's a beauty✌. Perfect Sunday viewing
Just pure art Nate 🎨 and a bait of beauty
Been carving baits along with your videos for a few years now. You should do a video just describing your process on a basic lure. Love the content!
Nice, very nice. Always a great day when marling posts.
Coolest bait I've ever seen. Fantastic job!!
It would be cool if you made more of those but put a willow leaf spinner on them too and maybe a tandem spinner. This is one of my favorite videos in a long time I wish you could put to a week on. I’ve been home all year in and out of the hospital. I mostly watch all your reruns. I’m originally from Minnesota I love northern pike and musky fishing. Now I live out in Washington. We fish for rock bass and salmon out here. Keep up the good work.
That bait is beyond awesome.
Awesome bait build and awesome team work with your wife! Great job to your wife’s work.
Magnificent lure. But you had me again at the great music beds under the montages.
Million dollar idea. I love it!
I never comment.
This is one of your best baits yet. Bravo my guy
You've done alot of good looking baits dut I think this is my favorite one. You do good work. 👍
Woke up to tie flies, and there's a new Marling Baits video, just good stuff all around.
Build ideas: Non-spawned salmon, and a sculpin.
Excellent. Happy new year! Going fishing more this year thanks to you
Just saying you should make a top water boat with a buzz bait prop on the back.
One of the coolest lures I’ve seen you make..! Great job..! 🎣
