Two scenes in no. 3, really nice, then sometimes you have to run and there's no. 9 with a strong simplicity ! The heavenly no. 17 so nice and..... always nice to see your works 🤙
I am always grateful when you are commenting about the photos because I don't remember which number is which photos so I have to go back to the video and watching again :)) Thank you again for watching ! :)
really cool video :,D I enjoyed watching It more than other street photography videos. and congratulation to both of you guys for the shots; very very inspiring. were you both using the 18mm Fuji saluti da Berlino
DAMN!!! Probably your best video yet. I have to admit when i first started following you a LONG time ago i found your photography pretty medicore. But you have grown SOOO much in your photography and i think thats very inspiring. Your compositons are so good , how you fill up the frame with multiple subjects , the use of light. But also your way of editing your videos has improved a lot , i really like the B roll intro's. Makes me want to go out and shoot more often again and see if i can also progress like that.
Thanks for the kind words ! I agree with you, my pictures are getting better but I am still pretty harsh on me and there is SO much work to do. Exactly, that's my goal to get more layering and to improve my compositions and it doesn't work every time but I am trying :) I am really glad that you noticed the progress and I am happy that my videos inspire you to go out and shoot, that's a big compliment ! Cheers !
@@OctavianCarare Yeah im also developing a big interest in layering. Its very challenging but when you find a scene and compose it in a nice way its so satisfying. Keep it up mate!
Ciao Mauro ! I can't belive you left Rome :) I was considering moving there :) What a brilliant city ! I miss it already but I hope I will be back next year for a short stay. Grazie mille !
I can see it was a tiring day with all the walking, the crowds and the heat, but it was totally worth the effort. Amazing shots from both of you. I like the light, the reflections, the layering and the composition. The intro was smooth as always. I saw a bit of layering there also. Very very nice. Great to see Nicola again. Another succesful one my friend 👏👏👏🔥
Thank you Alexandru ! And we were lucky that it wasn't the harsh heatwave of 40+ degrees but still hot :) I am happy that you still like the intros after all this time. I need to step up my game though :) New video coming soon here !
Fantastic 👏 👏 👏 Loved the shot where the face on the carrier bag seemed to peer around the legs. So clever. I would just never see that shot, let alone have the courage to take it. 👏👏😎📷👍
Thanks Steve ! Actually I wanted to pair the face on the bag with the face on the poster (in the background). I am not quite happy with my shot but I decided to keep it in the video.People weren't bothered by me taking the shot hehe . Thanks for watching !
Hello Jane and thank you ! I was shooting JPEGs and RAW. Below you can find all the info about the film simulation : fujixweekly.com/2022/12/16/kodak-portra-400-v2-fujifilm-x-t5-x-trans-v-film-simulation-recipe/
Octavian, this video was brilliant evening by your high standards. Most of those shots are classics and it is almost impossible to pick a favourite. What has happened to your Q2?
Many thanks and I am glad you enjoyed the video ! The Q2 is doing very well (actually the next video coming on the channel is with the Q2). I have used more and more the fuji lately as it was lighter, specially when I put the gopro on it. But I am getting back shooting with the Leica Q2. I was considering selling my Leica Q2 and getting a Q2M (as I have the fuji for the colours) but I am not 100% decided so still ... considering it :) Cheers !
Hi Octavian, first of all thank you for the great impressions of rome. My favourites are: Pictures 9, 11, 14, 17 The guy in Nr. 11 is a security? He looks as he was in jail😀 Nicola is the first photographer you is using a half-case for his fuji. Many greetings from germany Stefan
Hi Stefan! Thank you for watching the video. The guy in the 10 and 11 was actually doing some construction works :) Looks like he is in jail indeed but he was free as a bird :). Nicola takes good care of his Fuji hehe. Danke schon !
High end vid, Octavian. Guest, a plus. Hope you didn’t melt in the heat wave - same for camera performance. Best of this group is 3 (layering and depth, young and older ladies) best in a long time, IMO. 👍 Others are 12 (hats), 5 (paper), and 16 (red umbrella). Square pizza the best kind. Rome - eternal city. You have the (stocky) build of a gladiator (you know, the guy with the net)😊. Little known fact - the Roman’s invented the waffle. As I recall, by now you should be on your way to New York City. Have fun. Cheers!
Hi Paul ! Actually I was in Rome prior to the heatwave, it was still pretty hot though. I thought it was the French who invented the waffles, even though the Belgians are claiming it as well. Anyways, my mom named after a Roman emperor :) Actually I will be in NY on the 22nd of August till 26th of August :) Thank you for your feedback and thoughts ! Appreciate it !
Yeah ! I still remember your previous session with Nicola from the previous year. This one is great too, lot of good shots. It's been a while i havent visited Rome but i had always great memories from this cities both for photography and food of course ahah. Like you, the XE-4 became my "go to" everyday camera and yeah i like it a lot. Very compact, nice specs, you can combine it with low profile lense too (the Fuji 27mm pancake or the new Voigtlander 27mm, you should take a look on this one !) to have a very compact and stealthy configuration. But there is, at least for me, a major drawback on the XE-4 and i still don't know how to fix it. Are you using the tilt screen to shoot at torso / hip level ? If yes, it's piss me off when the screen "swap / switch" position (je vais le dire en Français car je ne sais pas comment l'exprimé autrement, l'image s'inverse à cause du capteur de proximité) . I've done a lot of search and i've just found some tricks to work around but nothing very convicing. Have you the same problem ? Did you find a solution about that ?
Oh Rome ! I already miss it. It's such a lovely city indeed. Is the new Voigtlander 27mm autofocus or only manual ? :) I rarely shoot from the hip and when I do it I don't use the screen, I don't tilt it. Unfortunately I don't have any solutions :( Merci d'avoir regarde la video :)
I like a lot of them.. but I love #6, I believe it was. The ladies on the bench with the big hats. Reminds me of Walter Hunt Everett. Perfect graphical composition with leading shapes 🤌🤌 X-E4 is a sleeping giant. People love the X-E3 and X-T5 but the X-E4 gets a bit overlooked. Which is good for me, who's in the market ha.
Thank you for watching and thank you for introducing me to Walter Hunt Everett .Those are some lovely illustrations :O . I love my XE4, such a lovely camera for street photography. The viewfinder is bad but otherwise, the camera is great. I hope they will make a XE5 :)
@@OctavianCarare Everett is soooo good. Illustration can inspire photography but it's a bit obtuse, often. Everett paintings just drop right into photography ha. I've kinda decided to go with the x-E3 because it's very small and has extra external controls. There's no lose with the XE series though. I got an x-e1 last year and even that was a joy to use.
Thanks a lot ! Well I guess there are not many countries where photographing people on the street is legal ... Spain and Germany are not... Probably Italy as well :D

Thank you Isabelle for the kind words and for watching the video. I used a Fuji 18 mm f 2. Currently the only Fuji lens I own :)
