  • Join Kim and Danny Stricker for a fish-eye view of post-spawn largemouth bass comfortably positioned below shallow moored pontoon boats. Skillfully skipping a Strike King 4” Caffeine Shad under the shaded canopy proves effective for Kim while Danny captures all the action above, as well as beneath the surface in this eye-opening episode.

As someone who grew up fishing largemouth in the south but with a career in tournament fishing has went north fishing smallies id say in my opinion smallmouth are easier to find pattern and catch. Main reason being usually if you find one smallmouth you find a wad of them whereas you can find one fluke largemouth and he leads you down a rabbit hole on a false pattern 😂

@@Hooknlook Can i ask you honestly? if my reel's drag is 18lbs max then why would i ever use line heavier than about 20 lb test since the drag will give out before the line will?

@@7michael7getachew7you can crank drag down tighter that 18 pounds also heavier line tends to be tougher and less likely to fray in heavy cover.

@@7michael7getachew7when I'm flipping heavy cover with 50 pound straight braid I'll crank my drag down with a pair of pliers. Absolutely no way you can pull drag.
