I love what you do for all of us that watch you guys. Smart people will always get an inspection. Otherwise you really don't know what you're buying. Almost no dealerships are honest and treat their customers right. Another one that wasn't inspected at the manufacturer or the dealer but I bet they were charged for it. Want to make a dealership sing? Tell them if you really inspected the unit then nothing will be found but if they do find stuff you take off the cost of your inspection. That will make them run backwards so fast it will be like they weren't ever their.

With your inspections the folks always get their useful information to use how they wish. Some will go forward with the purchase and others not, but you always lay out the truth for them to decide. Another great video. Glad to see a well built, almost!
In Ohio in my back yard the eclipse was great . But I drove to sweet water Tennessee in in 2017 for that one .. camped in my rv on a back road .. love my 20 year old Winnebago. Class a .. this new stuff is like wtf !
So those that complain about the inspection cost, just need to watch how many people walk away from their deal or the nightmare, after you complete your inspection or sometimes by Noon!
We are in Southern Missouri. Sat on our driveway with our darling young granddaughters with our glasses on and enjoyed the full eclipse. It got grey out not dark and felt cooler, but 30 minutes south in Branson it was dark. Our daughter was down there. All in all it was a memorable day for sure. Love your video’s and your attention to every detail……

What about something protruding on the outside wall you mentioned in the beginning? We never heard any more about it. I’d be concerned about a future crack? Was it anything to be concerned about?
Like I said, nothing we can state as problematic inherent fact...just tell tale for me to dig more into the overall possibility of mishaps from manufacturing day.
Does this Cougar use BAL Accu-slide or BAL Exact-slide mechanism? Rigor RV Repair hates Accu-slides. What's your take on these two different cable slide technologies?
We saw the eclipse in my front yard in Massachusetts had 93% totality, unlike you guys who give us 100% all the time. Did the buyers get the slide fixed?
IMHO, people who don't go for an independent RV inspection, tend to think it's a new unit (what could be wrong?) , the dealer is already charging 1K for a PDI and I trust they will fix whatever they find.........so why do I need to pay twice for the same inspection? Only later do the see the error of their ways, and by then it is too late. BTW, Johnny's eclipse shot got my attention.
Some people are smartening up...they do not accept the fees from the dealership's inspection and request BOE inspection. We will buy, contingent to our RV Inspection team report. Smart dealerships actually prefer our report, as the issues to be fixed are logged in and already figured out 🙄. Lesson that consumers will learn slowly but surely. BTW now I know what discipline you used to study and teach...x-ray vision 🙂
Every issue with an RV seems to cost $1,000! If you prevent 1-2 problems, it's break even or better! As many problems as you guys seem to find on any inspection, even if it's "warranty" stuff, the time , inconvenience, downtime, and expense it saves should justify it. Lots of the stuff you guys find, probably wouldn't become apparent to most people until after the warranty expires!

You can be the smartest doctor or scientist in the world and sound like a complete idiot in a room full of mechanics (and vice versa of course). I’m an engineer/machinist/mechanic type, and have done pretty well inspecting stuff for myself, and paid for the stuff I missed by having to fix it myself. I so much appreciate what you and others do and try to do the same by sharing what I have learned.
You know I don’t know why people don’t get inspections, they will pay for $12 coffee but not something that will save them thousands? Your RV is a home on wheels, why wouldn't you pay to get it inspected like you home. I mean you can get one done for $500 bucks but is it any good? Did they really check everything? What's in included in that price? Is your home inspector going to say something like "Oh I don't inspect chimneys or pools you will have to hire another guy for that" Each of those guys is 500 bucks too! $1500 bucks and interviewing your inspector is well worth it. I would rather hire someone like Blue Ox who is going top to bottom, inside and out, down to pulling engine oil samples for testing as an entire package deal vs trying to hire 3 people to do all of it. In the end hiring those 3 at $500 is the same $1500 and way more hassle of scheduling 3 people! Who knows if they will catch everything. The engine inspector could see something that Body inspector didn't see but thinks "Oh that's part of the others guys inspection I don't need to report it" The customer is the one left suffering.
