@@dubzer0649 At the time each of Barry's brothers passed away , he was not on speaking terms with them for one reason or another. Now that he's 76 and the last one standing he said he never thought ,being the oldest that he would be the last one standing alone. In an interview he said that he if he could he would take away all the fame and money just to have his brothers with him again.

Amazing! Barry and Robin sound like one voice. The four brothers on stage together is priceless. Barry, the last man standing, said he’d give it all away, no singing career at all if he could have his brothers back. Even though he misses them terribly, he’s still performing! Barry and Robin's voices always blended so well together, though they were so different when singing separate leads (eg Massachussetts, I Just Gotta Get a Message to You and For Whom the Bell Tolls) and Maurice's voice was so underrated as he only took the lead on a few songs but his slightly lower register was such a great balance in the mix.
Barry and Andy's facial resemblance though is spooky. Andy was shorter than Barry, like the twins were too, but I remember their mother saying that when Andy was born, "It was like having had the same baby again" and that they even had the same birthmarks.

Hey Karltin! Disco is SUPER FUN! Oh man, the 70's were so good. A couple things. The movie clips were a young John Travolta doing the iconic dance to this song in the movie "Saturday Night Fever". Bee Gees wrote the entire soundtrack which a lot of these songs are from. If you've never seen the movie & pass it one day - watch it.
Here's the BIG one to catch. Didn't you notice a 4th singer in that line up? That was their litte brother Andy Gibb joining them!!! I wanted you to do this video to see him & have a little spring board to cover a few of his songs. He had a very successful solo career but sadly died at the age of 30. He sounds just like his brothers and his songs you'll really love. You'll hear his brothers sing background vocals on them. The ones you want to do are:
    - Shadow Dancing 🔥
    - I Just Wanna Be Your Everything 🔥
    - Don't Throw It All Away (optional)
I'm loving the grind. Thanks for the great content my friend. ❤🎵✌

This song was a #1 US hit in September 1976, becoming one of the biggest disco hits of the era. When the movie hit theaters in December 1977, the song was used in a famous scene from the movie where John Travolta takes over the dance floor - an appropriate choice since the song is specifically about dancing. John Travolta prepared for the movie by practicing his dance moves to this song. When he was told by the producers that "Night Fever" would be used for the sequence for which he was practicing, Travolta insisted that "You Should Be Dancing" be used instead.

As beegeesbuster1 pointed out earlier, this video is just a montage that someone made up by combining clips from a live tour and splicing in scenes from the movie Saturday Night Fever. It's an awesome piece music because of all the layers to it. Meant to be played loud so that it overwhelms the senses. Of all the reactors I've watched, the ones coming from hip hop backgrounds are the ones that most appreciate the energy of the Brothers Gibb (the "Bee Gees"). I would highly recommend you check out a wonderfully funky tune they released just a year earlier called "Jive Talkin'". You won't be disappointed. Thanks again.

This song is from their 1976 album "Children Of The World" and the song was reused in the movie Saturday Night Fever in 1977. The song went number 1 in 1976.
Infact this was not written as a Disco song but as a R&B song.
It however has been connected to the disco era because of it appearing in the SNF movie.
The video is a mix of live footage from their Spirits tour in 1979 and scenes from the SNF movie.

There is a better clip of this where they are singing it live on this tour. That is their little brother Andy performing with them. This was the high point of their career, this tour was amazing. You can tell they are enjoying every minute of this. it is from the Spirits Having Flown tour. The stage was designed to light up like the dance floor in the movie.

The blonde is little brother Andy Gibb who was talented and a superstar in his own right. Unfortunately we lost him many years ago because of drugs. I think he was only 30 or so. Check out a few of his songs .. He sounds exactly like oldest brother Barry.

@@dubzer0649 Barry Gibb, the oldest, is the only surviving member now. The twins, Maurice and Robin, are both gone also. We lost Maurice in 2003 at age 53 and Robin in 2012 age 62. The brothers had many hits long before the disco era .. "Lonely Days" .. "To Love Somebody" .. "I Started a Joke" .. "Massachusetts" ..

Its crazy how good 5 or 6 Bee Gees songs are. A handful of other Disco groups as well. Disco was a very short lived fad but it was huge at the time. Critics didnt pay too much attention to much of it. As a genre it didnt get much respect. But you've already heard what we all heard back then. Its not like there are 1 or 2 Disco songs that were sorta cool. There are a bunch of Disco songs that are some of the most original stuff ever put out. That 16 beat hi hat that defines much of Disco is in 20 or 30 good songs that came out of Disco. The Bee Gees did play a variety of genres but they are def considered one of the top disco groups. Probably THE best disco group.

The Bee Gees were in Paris recording this Album, they already had most of the songs done. Their manager got in touch with them ,and told them he needed some songs for this movie. So the Bee Gees sent the songs they already had recorded. What's amazing is that had songs, and didn't know about the movie. That means that John Travolta was practicing dancing to other artists. The Bee Gees saw the movie later after they had this album recorded. They had no movie in mind. Didn't even know about it. Saturday Night Fever. My all time favorite movie, and favorite Album. The Bee Gees were, and will always be the greatest

This would be the movie Saturday Night Fever the movie and song that slung Jon Travolta on the map and super stardom. The BeeGees little brother Andy Gibb sang on this song but was a star himself as a solo career. Sadly the two brother not the lead singer have passed RIP and Andy passed back back in the 80's from a drug overdose which the 3 older brothers never got over. I was a professional dancer as a kid back in the 70's and would win dance club dance off's to this song same dance as your watching in clubs that looked just like this. There will never be an Era like this again nothing but love amd true hearts! Great react guys 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
