Their harmonies are unmatched. Maurice, the brother in green, once said about their vocals, One of us is ok. Two of us is good. All three of us is amazing. Something along those lines. They ruled the world for many years.
@@ronileigh9336 you misunderstood my comment. He was referring to each as an individual and then all of them as a group. He wasn’t saying that he was bad. Just as a whole they were rockstars.
They lasted four decades with top 20’s at least once each decade. And they also wrote songs for Diana Ross and Dion Warwick. Also Dolly Parton and Barbra Streisand. Their genres were also pop and country.
Barry and Robin took the lead most of the time. It was Barry, the oldest brother. Maurice took the lead on some songs like Man in the Middle. Robin and Maurice (twins) have passed away
The lead vocalist here is Sir Barry Gibb, the sole surviving Brother Gibb (Bee Gees). He is 77 years old and tonight is one of the Kennedy Center Lifetime Achievement Honorees-- He's written or co-written (mostly with his two twin brothers, ROBIN and MAURICE) 0VER 1000 published songs. They were born on a little island off England called the Isle of Man, moved 7 years later to Manchester, England, emigrated to Australia about 5 years later for more job opportunities for their father Hugh. Then after 9 years, they sailed back to England in Jan-Feb 1967. To answer your question, they joined the British Invasion of the U.S. of pop-rock artists-- Beatles, Rolling Stones, the Who, the Animals, the Hollies, Eric Clapton's Cream,-- and between 1967-1971-Also before and after their Disco phase, Bee Gees had numerous hits as pop, pop,-rock, psychedelic-rock, R&B, country-rock, soul, etc.) artists. Bee Gees, particularly Barry Gibb, have been close friends of Michael Jackson, who is godfather to one of Barry's sons, named after him--Michael Gibb. Also check out "All in His Name" a song co-written and performed by Michael and Barry in early 2000's and released shortly after Jackson's death.
Right on with the comments & love seeing new reaction channels discover these guys! Hoped you'd be able to make the trip to The Kennedy Center to see Barry....but at least we'll get to take in all the events through RUclips! I know it's suppose to air the 27th on CBS & Paramount+, but may check if it'll be live-streamed tomorrow night. Stephen Gibb turned 50 this weekend so posted pics of them in DC on instagram!☺️
@@kthor Good morning! I've been Googling "news Barry Gibb Kennedy Honors" and checking social media. The official Bee Gees @GSI, Brothers Gibb and Bee Gees info had several pictures of the Gibb family and our dear Barry, even a Tik-Tok of Barry interacting with a small crowd outside a venue, and the welcome speech by the Secretary of State at yesterdays luncheon(?) So, I will be doing what you will today , checking for any video of the event, hoping for some successful fan insights who are present. Happy hunting, @kthor!!💕
It's probably just me, but the wording of "his two twin brothers" sort of makes it sound like they are triplets. It's the word "his" that messing me up. Sorry to be so anal when your comment is lovely and informative. lol
They were not only extremely talented, they were very good and generous people as well. All profits in perpetuity from this hit song were donated to UNICEF.
Gentlemen gentlemen, you have to understand that these guys have been together for 50 years and disco was only three years of that 50. They have written over 1000 songs they started singing in 1958. Their careers went the sixties to seventies to eighties to 90s even into the 2000s until Mo passed away in 2003.
Nephews. I had a ball listening to your reaction to "To much heaven " by the 🐝 Gees. I am a 63 yr young African American grandmother, and I can tell you that the Ole school culture, no the 🐝 Gees discography to well. In fact the 🐝 Gees songs spent time on the R&B charts (continuously). I enjoyed your reaction sooo much I watched it 4 times. Finally, you have to watch the movie "Saturday Night Fever". The 🐝 Gees wrote/sang the entire soundtrack of the movie. Fun fact: the Saturday night fever" soundtrack, is the #1 grossing soundtrack of ALL times. Finally, the song "To Much Heaven " who was written by the 🐝 Gees, donated ALL monies made from the song to charity. How awesome is that. God bless. Merry Christmas, and a happy New Year to both you and your families. 🖤🖤🖤🐝🐝🐝
I am 70, they were and are my favorites and this my favorite song ever. We had the best music hands down in the 60s mostly 70s and 80s !!!!! Bring it all back, it is real music!!!
They’ve been singing since 1958 when Barry was 9 and the twins Robin and Maurice were 6. You NEED to check out their beginnings! They also had a little brother, Andy Gibb, who had his own solo career. Shadow Dancing, desire, love is thicker than water!! The 4 brothers wrote their own songs along with song for other artists. You also need to check out their children who can also sing (The Gibb Collective) in Please Don’t Turn Out the Lights! You will be blown away!
Who writes beautiful music like this anymore....."You make my world a summer day". Wow! I grew up in the 70s and took this wonderful music for granted. They are MAGICAL! Thank you, Bee Gees!
I can’t even begin to explain how vast their catalog is! Not to mention the songs they’ve written for other artists. It’s mind blowing! I’ll let the others recommend other songs because there are too many to choose from!
@@carolynnewcomb2153 In the video, don’t you just love the 60’s vibe, the bell bottoms, the long hair, and the swagger? I do. I could listen all day on repeat. Somehow it never gets old.
Is it just me or does everyone just love the slow smile when Smokey likes a song? Or when Hollywood closes his eyes and feels the music? You guys definitely made my day!!
They wrote Too Much Heaven, 'Tragedy', and one for little brother Andy...Shadow Dancing', in the same day, and all 3 were #1 hits. Check out 'Nights On Broadway' for a sample of their regular voices. Even though it's the first song they use their falsettos, in the middle break, Barry comes low and powerful! A real ROCKER! And pay attention to Maurice's bass lines...VERY good! And 'Jive Talkin' has a great bass part as well. Also 'Alone' is another sky-high falsetto fantasy...the official video, with clips of them in studio, meeting people during their career, and goofing around when they were kids is the best version. The guys wrote over a thousand songs, and not a dud in the lot!
Just had to drop by when I saw you two were doing the Bee Gees. Love their Motown stuff. They wrote hundreds of songs for other artists, too, including Diana Ross, with Chain Reaction. That main dude is the iconic Barry Gibb. 6 consecutive chart toppers in the US, 100 top 10 hits throughout their career. They wrote More than a Woman for Tavares for Saturday Night Fever, the film...very stylistics type of group. Also collabed on Ross`s Eaten Alive hit with MJ. Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb and MJ wrote and produced the song. The Bee Gees did R & B, funky motown, Rock and even country (Islands in the Stream for Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers). Robin Gibb (on the left here, died 2012) described their "disco" music as contemporary R & B. They saw themselves more as songwriters than disco dudes. Perhaps they were both. Emmy awards galore, Hall of Famers R & B and songwriting as well as a career spaning more than 40 years, that stopped only when Maurice Gibb (Robins twin, to the right) passed away suddenly in 2003. Barry Gibb released a tribute to the Bee Gees in 2020/21 (top selling in many countries) featuring duets of many of the Bee Gees most enduring hits with Olivia Newton John. Alison Kraus, Dolly Parton. Keith Urban, Jason Isbell, Sheryl Crow and many more. Great Bee Gees songs? How Deep is your love Jive Talkin Stayin Alive More than a Woman You should be dancing To love somebody How do you mend a broken heart Too much heaven You Win Again Paradise Massachusetts I started a Joke Moring of my life Inside and out For Whom the Bell tolls and hundreds more, all written by the legendary Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb Great fun guys. Keep EM coming
I freaking LOVE the BeeGees! I grew up in the 70's & 80's! My teenage Aunt listened to the this music and she would put the radio on in her car and we would dance in the yard! She introduced me to the BG's and KC & the Sunshine band, Journey, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Heart & etc, etc... My Dad who drove a coal truck had a 8 track and my Dad would listen to country music! All the outlaws of country. Willie, Cash, Waylon and all the "Classic country" but he idolized George Jones. That was his hero. He had every single record that he put out. Barry Gibbs has Witten/Co written 16 TOP 100 NUMBER 1 songs spanning over 60 years! Six of them were consecutive! He has written or Co-written over 1,000 songs! He was inducted to the "Writers Hall of Fame" along with his brothers in 1994. Barry has even written for Dolly Parton, Kenny Roger's, Dione Warwick and Otis Redding!. He is a writing genius! ✍️ Great reaction! I did about fell out when Hollywood said Barry's pants was tight as heck😂😂😂
One of the best songs ever! Nothing better than sibling harmonies! If you research them, you would be surprised how many songs they wrote. I love them so much! Miss Robin, Maurice and little brother Andy. 💜
As someone who graduated HS in 1979, I’m noticing that watching reaction channels (yours is one of the best) has made me appreciate the music of that era even more. I’ve heard this song a million times, but it was released along with an ocean of great ‘70s music in many genres. Watching you react for the first time is enjoyable based on how you respond, but I find myself also paying closer attention to music for first time and appreciating it even more.
Great reaction guys… thanks!! Old Lady here.. grew up in the 60s and 70s - listening to these guys, and all of the other amazing music of those decades - love Bee Gees!! Fun Fact about this song - it was a project for UNICEF with all proceeds going to that cause - over the years, over 7M has been raised for them. Bee Gees wrote for many other singers too - Dolly Parton and Kenny Roger’s hit ‘Islands in the Stream’ and a little tune by Frankie Valli’s hit - Grease - to name a few!!
The BeeGee smiles on your faces...priceless! They're just so good... When I was in 4th grade my stepdad was a chaperone for a school field trip, he looked exactly like Barry Gibb with the hair and the beard, the kids loved him, made me pretty popular for 4th grade lol I loved him too by the way💕🌟 'Im sick of riding Unicorns' - Hollywood 6ix 😂😂😂
They also had a younger brother... Andy. He was a teen heartthrob in the 70's and had his own solo career. Unfortunately, he died young. When all 4 of the brothers sang together... it was even more amazing.
They are amazing. They never got too serious about themselves. They were down to earth and normal. The lead singer is Barry. He has been married to his wife for 50 years. Barry is the last Bee Gee. Those songs are responsible for the population explosion of the late 70s and 80s😊😊
What’s even more insane is when you realize they’re all British too and grew up in Australia 😂 seriously tho, go back and listen to some of their 60s hits, To Love Somebody, I Started a Joke, Odessa, Down To Earth, World etc. All so damn good!
The Bee Gees really covered many genres. Folk, rock, pop, R&B, blues, and disco. They even wrote many songs for other artists such as Kenny Roger's and Dolly Parton (Islands in the Stream) and Barbara Streisand (Guilty) which Barry sang background as well. They even wrote songs for their brother Andy Gibb and sang background there as well.
@@TallyDrake Guilty & What Kind of Fool were both duets with Barry & Barbra. Barry provided backing vocals on Woman In Love & the other tracks. Robin & Mo were co-writers only.
In the early 60s they had a folk/pop sort of sound that transitioned into pop; in the late 60s and early 70s they were doing soft rock; then in the mid-70s they entered their disco era that most people know them for; in the early 80s they adopted a sophisticated pop style and just kept on going, with huge sold-out concert performances. The Bee Gees do everything well.
This is what some people call "Blood Harmony". Some groups harmonize well, but there's something about when it's members of the same family. (Osmonds, Carpenters, Jackson 5, etc....) And this is around the time when they all discovered how to sing in "Falsetto". If you want to hear their natural voices, check out "Lonely Days, Lonely Nights".
Barry Gibb was the lead singer and the eldest of the three brothers. The twins, Robin and Maurice, had such tight harmonies with Barry that, no matter what time period or genre of music they sang, it was just wonderful to listen to. The 4th, and youngest of the Gibb brothers, was Andy. He had a career that was just taking off when he died. Andy looked a lot like Barry. Barry outlived his three siblings. He took some time away from performing, but has since done solo shows. Barry wrote for the Bee Gees, but also wrote hit songs for many other artists. I definitely recommend you continue to react to more of their songs.
Barry actually has an incredible chest voice as well, I recommend the studio versions of "Nights On Broadway" or "Fanny Be Tender With My Love". Both display some incredible range from the singers.
The Bee Gees did it all, rock, disco, R and B, easy listening, you name it. They were also excellent song writers who wrote number one hits for many popular artist's. Their little brother Andy eventually came along and became a popular solo artist with a string of number one hits. So sad that Barry the oldest (the one in the middle) has since lost all of his brothers and he is the only one left.
I absolutely love watching reactions to this track. People from all musical backgrounds can appreciate these gorgeous harmonies and Barry’s falsetto is unmatched!! Talent like this is hard to find these days!!
"To Love Somebody" is my favorite, especially the live 1967 version. (It is also Barry Gibb- the lead singer's favorite song that he wrote) Check it out. Janis Joplin did a cool version too.
I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! All three brothers had amazing falsetto's, powerful chest voices, & could sing anything in between. They truly were a once in a lifetime gift of musical genius, in every aspect! Please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed. They span over many decades, & crossed quite a few genres. I believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤❤
I am so excited to see rappers listen to my all-time favorite group. Not only are these three the best singers, and have the most beautiful harmonies you’ll ever hear in your lifetime Mary the only one left along with his two brothers were and are some genuinely fine, wholesome, kind, genuine, and humorous human beings. I got to see them in 1978 with my then boyfriend we’ve been married almost 40 years. It was one of the best days of my life Long live the Bee Gees.❤
The Bee Gees started singing together when they were kids of 6 & 9 years old. They became famous in the early 60:s. Love them. They have a huge catalog of songs. They also wright their own songs, and also for other singers that are famous.
There’s something about siblings and how their voices blend. Must be from them growing up singing together. I don’t know a ton of BeeGees but “How Deep is Your Love” is my favorite so far. Definitely soulful -there’s a fantastic cover by PJ Morton featuring Yebba that I’d also recommend.
Yes. In fact, there's clips of them in their teens doing sublime harmonies together so they started off singing together very early on. I definitely recommend listening "Fanny (Be Tender With My Love)", one of their earliest RnB tracks ruclips.net/video/CE5weQdQOn4/видео.html. Also recommend the song "Spirits Having Flown" which is a beautifully ambient love song with Caribbean influences and an ethereal ending.
Bee Gees "I've Gotta Get A Message To You" ..TRUST ME on this one my music lovin' brothers..A man sitting in prison awaiting his own death & having just one last wish. ☠️
I'm a 45 yr old metaller woman. But I have always and will always love the Bee Gees. I was lucky enough to see them live in Dublin in 1998. One of THE best concerts I have ever witnessed, and I've seen a lot. ❤️ Barry is the only one left, which breaks my heart
These brothers used to sing in their bedroom as youngsters and their mother thought her sons accidentally left the radio on! She opened the door to turn the radio off and learned it wasn’t the radio she was hearing! It was awesome seeing Barry’s interview after the Kennedy Center Awards and hearing him say he wasn’t really standing up there alone because he knew his brothers were there. 😢 I can only imagine what it would be like to be able to feel the presence of your lost loved ones! Just beautiful! RIP Robin and Maurice, we love and miss you!🫶
They started recording in the 1960s thru 2012 when Robin died (Maurice died in 2003). Barry (lead singer) still writes, records and performs until a couple of years ago and also mentors young artists. The 3 brothers have been singing and performing together since the late 1950s in Australia when they were kids. That's where they learned to harmonize and no one can match them. They were influenced by soul and R&B. Disco was only about 3 years of their long careers. NO AUTOTUNE ON ANY OF THEIR SONGS. They write their own music - melody, lyrics (really listen to their lyrics which are pure poetry), orchestration and record and perform only their own music. They also wrote for a lot of other big names - Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Dionne Warwick, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dionne, Kenny Roger, etc, No one could ever write a love song like the Bee Gees. To me Too Much Heaven is the most perfect love song ever. They were around long before The Brady Bunch and they definitely made the hair and beards cool and sexy.
Try their song "Fanny be tender with my love", "How can you mend a broken heart" and "To love somebody". for some more non-disco songs they wrote and recorded.
Nights on Broadway was a funky disco type jam but more rock & soul than disco. Great live jam. Plus their early stuff was amazing. Lonely Days, Massachusetts, (Fanny) Be tender with my love , I started a joke, How can you mend a broken heart…. All great jams.
This song being all kinds of emotions out of me it brings out so many memories it was the greatest era in music and the bee gees were greatest ever I can't even describe how much I love them
Omgosh y’all are too cute!😂🥰Love how you guys really see & appreciate my generation of beautiful music! I really believe 70’s, 80’s & early 90’s was the greatest!! True talent!🥰🎶
SO blessed to have been able to listen to the Bee Gees since the 1960's!!!! Greatest band of all time!!!! BTW, they wrote songs for many of the people you referred to!
They started as a folk band, moved into pop. The only reason they got put in the disco category was the movie soundtrack, which blew up so much they had to promote it. They were pretty much solidly pop and ballads outside of Saturday Night Fever.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching both your expressions as you watched and listened to this song! This is the music I grew up listening too. The Bee Gees are the greatest of all time. Barry, in the middle is the only living brother. He is being honored today at the Kennedy Center for his influence and contributions to music history. What an honor and so we’ll deserved. I’m a super fan of theirs and appreciate you discovering their music. Thank you guys.
Morning guys! Wow! Their voices really are smooth and blend so well together! I hadn't really heard much more than "stayin alive". So this was pretty kool, and loved y'all's reaction!😁🤓
They wrote loads of hits that were sung by other people - too many to list, but some of the artists were Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers and Dionne Warwick
You have to listen to ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ and ‘Inside and Out’. Two phenomenal songs. They wrote a lot of songs for many people to include their little brother Andy Gibb. Barry Gibb is the only brother still alive. There’s a great little documentary on them, if you’re up to listening to it.
They considered themselves songwriters first. Even as kids they would challenge themselves to write the next big hit for particular artists. It’s amazing how often you can hear who they were channeling. The stylistic were one of the groups they mentioned as having inspired one of the falsetto songs. Example: BOOGIE CHILD is done in the style of Sly and the Family Stone. Can you hear it?
Hey guys, Kathy here - just found your channel and so glad to see you reacting to this song. The Bee Gees is a group that will never be matched in the vocals, harmonies, and the way they phrase the words. If you listen closely on this one, you will hear that every line ends on a dime. Barry, lead singer, is the only one who "adlibs". But they have mastered an art and can't be compared to anyone. If you like this one, you need to listen to To Love Somebody. But another artist, country artist Keith Urban performed To Love Somebody at a Tribute to the Bee Gees, with Barry and his wife of over 50 years sitting in the audience. And man, Keith Urban did that song justice, and not only that, but he is also a master guitar player and does riffs on that performance. I think you will really like it. Barry is the lead, and the only brother still alive. They also had a younger brother Andy Gibbs, and he passed at a very young age. He was a great singer in his own rights and often would join them at concerts.
There is only 1 time in history i have been able to match Barry Gibb`s singing voice,it was way back in mid/late grade school when i had overslept to school, and panicking half asleep,i remember my mom had said "i left your clothes on the dryer! Dont be late today! Okay bye,i have to head for work or im gonna end up being late!" I answered her,but fell asleep again. Woke up,watched the clock and panicked. Grabbed the clothes on top of the dryer, put them on,grabbed my bag and ran for school. Well i tried anyway, because before i got halfway,i had woken up enough to where it felt like i was being hugged, squeezed and pinched in all the RIGHT and WRONG places, all at once. I started feeling down my pants, and then it hit me: The ones i had grabbed was a pair i had grown out of,and that my mom originally was gonna give away to a much younger cousin of mine. She had simply put them right next to the clothes i was supposed to grab. So the rest of the jaywalking to school, was me walking like i really had the bubble guts,i either looked like i had serious backpain or that i needed to do a number 2 really bad,and tried holding it in for everything it was worth! Everytime i had to stand up from my desk, and people got to watch me walk away,i did hear alot of the girls in my class giggle and nonstop laugh. it must have been a sight for the gods,im telling you! "Look at that dumb teenager down there,he has forcefully strapped on some way too small/tight jeans still being half asleep, how dumb can you get? He didnt even run back to his house to find a decent pair of jeans or some sweatpants!". Nope i didnt,at that point my brain told me that "i couldnt see any other jeans/pants on that dryer,so mom has gone and screwed me over". I thought there was no going back, but apparently there was. A pair of jeans that i did indeed fit,was laying on the dryer too for me to grab,i had simply just seen the wrong pair first and rushed out. I could have sworn that all day at school,i sounded like Barry,Robin & Maurice sing when i talked. Eddie Murphy later on second my statement in his own standup, with how little it takes for a man to change vocals, just be having theyr nuts strafed/graced. Im glad all the girls at my school were "overdressed" that day, because any activity downstairs would have gotten me into a foster child position for the remainder of the day. Quick sidenote: I do love me some Bee Gees .......... musically speaking! 😏(Thats right,i turned my own embarrasing story into the main subject, and the intended subject Bee Gees into a sidenote.... "laugh at my pain! -Kevin Hart") *Hears Hollywood & Smokey dying of laughter in the background* You know what the funniest thing about Bee Gees is? When you hear them in interviews, they got those manly voices. So the fact that they hit those notes, must simply be by the size of theyr tight jeans,i will have to second that! A common favourite song of mine and my mom? Bee Gees - You Win Again (That song will have you boping your heads!) Its a far more recent song then the 2 songs you have been reacting to.
Loved the reaction. Some of their other styles/songs 60s To love somebody, I started a Joke, Gotta get a message to you, 70s Lonely days, Jive Talking, Tragedy, Nights on Broadway 1975 midnight Special, 80s Living Eyes, You win Again, 90s Kiss of life , For whom the Bell Tolls, Alone, 2001 Walking on Air, Wedding Day and This is where i came in. ❤❤
Barry Gibb is the lead singer. He’s the only Gibb brother still with us. It’s funny what you said about how they look. I’ve seen at least one compilation video on RUclips of reactors freaking out when they saw The Bee Gees saying they thought they were black. Great way to start my morning ❤
Hollywood and Smokey Man in the middle is Barry Gibb. Barry does his falsetto during Disco Era. But his late brother, Maurice can hit falsetto too. Barry has a wide range of vocal skills. Bee Gees has songs that Barry sings without using falsetto. As others stated here, his brothers: Robin (without beard) and Maurice died many years ago. Robin in 2012 and Maurice in 2003. Barry also had a younger brother as he calls him as his younger twin. Brother was Andy Gibb, who sadly died in 1988 at the age of 30. Until recently, Barry was touring on his solo career with his son, Stephen "Steve" Gibb on guitar. Steve stated that his father retired from touring.
Such class y’all! To give these guys a listen cuz you’ll not find better music than what came out of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s‼️ Imagine being a young teenager and young adult when this music came out! I feel very fortunate to have been alive during those decades! Y’all crack me up sometimes too! Stay golden✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
They were awesome . " Lonely Days" is one of my favorites pre disco. I never really cared for disco but when the Bee Gees do it it's their voices I listen to. Only disco I ever really 👍
Bee Gees are amazing. Check out some of their 60's songs--Massachusetts, Holiday, New York Mining Disaster 1941, Words....I could go on. What cracks me up about this video is the scotch tape on Barry's chest to make sure his shirt is open 'just so' to display his chest. 😂
There's no scotch tape on Barry's chest. If it's the shininess you're referring to, that's where he was burned when he was a toddler. He spent over 3 months in the hospital & almost died, & had major scarring from it for life.
Actually, the shiny patches on Barry's chest are scars from when he was horribly scalded as a young toddler. He nearly died. But he was obviously not self-conscious about the scars at all.
@@waynett8810 I think I'd disagree on Barry not being self-conscious about his scars. He only wore shirts that revealed very little if any of that scarred area, or had them unbuttoned just so. There's very few pics of Barry almost or completely shirtless....couple onstage during the Spirits tour when he had his jacket draped around his neck and some of him & Linda in swimsuits but she's somewhat covering him up. Put it this way.....he prob would've gone shirtless a lot more (& considering how much he'd sweat on stage) if not for the scars.🕺
EVERYONE reacts to this song with a fixed smile on their face. It just has that effect. Like listening to angels.
♥️♥️♥️ The Bee Gees.
Truth 🙏
Their harmonies are unmatched. Maurice, the brother in green, once said about their vocals, One of us is ok. Two of us is good. All three of us is amazing. Something along those lines. They ruled the world for many years.
Actually Mo was a good singer like he's 2 brothers. He cut himself short I hope he really didn't believe it.
@@ronileigh9336 you misunderstood my comment. He was referring to each as an individual and then all of them as a group. He wasn’t saying that he was bad. Just as a whole they were rockstars.
They will continue to rule the world of music!

@@kthorI would have loved to attend the Kennedy Center honors today. I look forward to seeing it on CBS later this month. 😊
It's probably just me, but the wording of "his two twin brothers" sort of makes it sound like they are triplets. It's the word "his" that messing me up. Sorry to be so anal when your comment is lovely and informative. lol
You're right. I appreciate it! @@grammarpolice5208
Couldn't say it any better, people link the bee gees to the disco era and immediately I know they know nothing about the bee gees..
Bee Gees were amazingly talented. So much more than their successful disco music.
Amen to that 🙏
Actually, the Bodyguard soundtrack surpassed Saturday Night Fever, but it's still one of the top 200 selling albums all-time.
One of their first big hits in the USA was during the 1960’s called To Love Somebody. Give a listen to it, you’ll be blown away.
I saw an interview where Barry said it’s his favorite too! So good!
I can’t even begin to explain how vast their catalog is! Not to mention the songs they’ve written for other artists. It’s mind blowing! I’ll let the others recommend other songs because there are too many to choose from!
Yes.
@@carolynnewcomb2153 In the video, don’t you just love the 60’s vibe, the bell bottoms, the long hair, and the swagger? I do. I could listen all day on repeat. Somehow it never gets old.
AMEN !! Their 1967 video of that song is beyond amazing !!!
Is it just me or does everyone just love the slow smile when Smokey likes a song? Or when Hollywood closes his eyes and feels the music? You guys definitely made my day!!
Most definitely!!
I do too!
Most definitely 😊
Quincy Jones said The Bee Gees hit “Fanny be Tender” is one of the best R&B songs he’s ever heard. Definitely worth a reaction! It’s amazing
My fav Bee Gee’s song.
Too Much Heaven is probably the best example of the Bee Gees harmonizing together, but everything they ever did is unmatched and unrivaled.
How Deep is your love
Jive Talkin
Stayin Alive
More than a Woman
You should be dancing
To love somebody
How do you mend a broken heart
Too much heaven
You Win Again
Paradise

I started a Joke
Moring of my life

For Whom the Bell tolls
and hundreds more, all written by the legendary Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb
Great fun guys. Keep EM coming
The Bee Gees are legends. Listen to Love you inside Out, You Should be Dancing, Desire, Love So Right. Thanks for the reaction.
Great reaction!
The thing about their music was it had such a positive force behind it. When you listen to their music, you smile and feel good and you feel love....
I find it so sad that only Barry is left. Certainly not easy for him. Great family and so talented! 😔❤
Please react to Nights on Broadway and Jive Talking by the Bee Gees.
Love your reaction guys!👍🎶
Awesome❤️
Same. We didn't realize how blessed we were.
Barry was such an alpha. The mane of a lion and the voice of an angel.
Not to mention the chest hair or the perfectly straight alabaster teeth
✌️✌️✌️✌️
That's called a Sigma
Ditto that!!!🙃💥💯💖👌
Great reaction guys… thanks!! Old Lady here.. grew up in the 60s and 70s - listening to these guys, and all of the other amazing music of those decades - love Bee Gees!! Fun Fact about this song - it was a project for UNICEF with all proceeds going to that cause - over the years, over 7M has been raised for them. Bee Gees wrote for many other singers too - Dolly Parton and Kenny Roger’s hit ‘Islands in the Stream’ and a little tune by Frankie Valli’s hit - Grease - to name a few!!
the UN Children's Fund has now raised $15 million from Bee Gees donating this song
Great info but Grease was actually written by big bro Barry!
One of the best love songs ever written imo. That key change at the end with the harmonies always give me chills
Man this song take me back to like 10 years old. Hearing the Bee Gees echo through the house. ❤
The BeeGee smiles on your faces...priceless! They're just so good...
When I was in 4th grade my stepdad was a chaperone for a school field trip, he looked exactly like Barry Gibb with the hair and the beard, the kids loved him, made me pretty popular for 4th grade lol I loved him too by the way💕🌟
'Im sick of riding Unicorns' - Hollywood 6ix 😂😂😂
The Bee Gees are amazing!!!! Their talent was beyond imagination. They wrote songs fir everyone!!!
Good choices for reactions!
We are very lucky to have had them make music for us!
Guilty was a duet with Barbra and Barry. The brothers sang backup for Barbra's hit Woman in Love.
One of my favorites by them
It's truly difficult not to sing or dance while hearing that
❤
How deep is your love, is another beautiful tune.
Wanted to add that they do have songs where they sing in their normal voices and not necessarily in higher tones.
Love The Bee Gees and love listening to you two young guys discovering them.
Wow! Takes me right back to high school! Their earlier stuff is absolutely awesome too!
The Bee Gees started singing together when they were kids of 6 & 9 years old. They became famous in the early 60:s. Love them. They have a huge catalog of songs. They also wright their own songs, and also for other singers that are famous.
A Music history institution. The Bee Gees will never leave the music airwaves. I have missed them.
I was fortunate to grow up in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's. You men have so much music to explore, you can't even imagine.
They donated all proceeds from this song to charity “UNICEF” for children of the world. So far they have reached over $10 million.
Bee Gees "I've Gotta Get A Message To You"
..TRUST ME on this one my music lovin' brothers..A man sitting in prison awaiting his own death & having just one last wish. ☠️
I'm a 45 yr old metaller woman. But I have always and will always love the Bee Gees. I was lucky enough to see them live in Dublin in 1998. One of THE best concerts I have ever witnessed, and I've seen a lot. ❤️
Barry is the only one left, which breaks my heart
69 yrs old and i really believe 70s and early 80s had the best of every type of music
The best!!!! Forever Bee Gees!!!💜💜💜💜💜💜
It’s so cool to see people appreciating amazing music
One of the greatest bands of all time. They write all of their songs. Only one left living now. They are brothers.
The Bee Gees give me so much joy!
WE LOVED THOSE TIGHT JEANS!!!! BACK THEN!!!
Morning fellas✨️ I love this song! Reminds me of 6th grade slow dancing! Wow, feelin a lil old!😂♥️ Thanks guys!
Barry Gibb wrote SOOO many amazing songs!
Barry definitely turned on his "baby makin' voice" on this one! 🤣
How Deep is Your Love is one of my favorite songs.
The BeeGees loved the Stylistics! All the early artists paved the way and influenced modern music!
OMG Music from my youth! I love Bee Gees soooo much! Thanks for remind me! 🥰
Their best music is outside of their disco era. You guys should do a lyric analysis on "I Started a Joke". My pops LOVED Bee Gees.
3 guys, one mic, no pitch correction and done in one live take. All talent and no tecnology
-Kevin Hart")
*Hears Hollywood & Smokey dying of laughter in the background*
You know what the funniest thing about Bee Gees is? When you hear them in interviews, they got those manly voices. So the fact that they hit those notes, must simply be by the size of theyr tight jeans,i will have to second that!
A common favourite song of mine and my mom? Bee Gees - You Win Again (That song will have you boping your heads!)
Its a far more recent song then the 2 songs you have been reacting to.
I love watching REACTIONS to Bee Gees . I lived it ,,, 😂
Loved the reaction. ❤❤
Oh my God, 😢 they're blessed 😢. I'm in tears 😢 right now
#1 Make out song. Still works to this day for me and the hubby. 25 years and counting. 😍
Hollywood and Smokey
Man in the middle is Barry Gibb.
Lmao. I laughed so hard when the comment about the jeans was made. Us girls of the 70s llllooooovvvveeeeddd the tight jeans on men😎😎😎😎
I love seeing this new generation exposed to the music I grew up on. Pure talent!!
And don’t forget about lil brother Andy Gibb. The family was full of talent. Andy looks & sounds like Barry, strong genes in that family!
Most dudes won’t admit they like this, but you can’t deny how great those harmonies were
That was amazing. You don't hear music and harmonies like that. Thanks for not interrupting all the time like most people do.
That's a reaction you can tell you guys are feeling this music. So many are so stoic!!
So grateful to have experienced the Bee Gees in "real time", along with bell bottoms 😉. Real music, great voices with NO AUTO TUNE!
They're tenors with a great ability to do falsetto.
@@kthor Well, I guess I'm just thinking that if it were me, I'd never be seen in anything less than a turtleneck!
This was great to wake up to this morning ❤❤❤
Barry lead singer and his brothers twins Robin and Maurice Gibb.
God, i loved the Bee Gees!! Musical geniuses !!!
