My thick wavy mid length hair that I color once every 3 months lately has just been knotting up slot and also breaking off so easily. I don't blow dry that much and just started using a flat iron here and there. I had huge breakage the other day when coming out my just washed and conditioned hair.. I even started combing from the bottom to get knots out as always with a wide tooth comb and just lots of hair breakage lately. Now I have split ends and slot of shorter length pieces due to the breakage. I use good shampoo and conditioner too. I don't want to cut the length to where it broke off at at top of my shoulders almost. Do u have any idea why the breakage lately? Sometimes I leave dye in my hair for a really long time and fall asleep with it in my hair too.
My science professor said that by touching your hair with your hands the natural hand sweat you produce breaks your hair. So it helps not to be fashion barbie and constant hair touching lol.
Dang, that sucks. Im not a ‘fashion barbie,’ but my hair is literally below my butt so i always have to move my hair out of the way. It sucks, and my head is basically a dead end lol

I found that coconut oil is actually stripping my blonde off, I want to apply another blonde over again. What can I use to treat the texture & maintain my color??? @Kelly Suzanne I hear you! I just cut off 2 inches at salon, my hair is healthier but I almost liked it better longer even though the ends were dry and splitting, they weren’t that bad though. Now I’m sad. I’m gonna try doing search and destroy at home or ask a friend to try dusting my hair. Really want to get my hair just a couple inches longer but healthy but my ends get dry and damaged.
@@milliem8051 My hair is at middle of my back and it drives me crazy. It's too thick and heavy , I thought about getting layers taking 4/5 inches off but I hate the upkeep with layers. And it always looks to poofy . I like my long hair but at the same time I'm tired of it .It grows fast but the layers take forever to grow back to one length . And I look awful with short hair like a bob style. So for. Ow idk what I'm gonna do but it's time for a trim again.

The thing is that every RUclipsr who upload vids related to hair, they are their hair rebounded or something related. Because of those chemicals in hair they don't know what actual hair fall is.
The first one did not work at all. The breakage goes all the way to the root so I cut the whole strand. Now I just have a bunch of tiny hairs on my roots and still have a bunch of frizz/breakage/split ends. I guess there is no hope for me to ever get rid of it without shaving my head.
Won't the ends that get cut just pop up higher than where they were cut in the first place ? I want to help my wife, and l want to do the right thing but l don't want WW-lll afterwards if you know what l mean 😖😎

The braid thing .. does it work for severe breakage like from the bottom of your hair all the way up to your crown?

Only the spilts ends because if you cut all the peices sticking out it will come out choppy

I have split ends so bad but I can't just do this I need my actual ends trimmed. I am gonna have to take off 2 inches at least .
Get it trimmed then do this as maintenance on between haircuts
