    Only beautician to show great skills like this. People always say it's not about length but not everyone was born with great genetics so their long hair was their own hard work and patience so to go into a salon and someone just chop off 4 inches for the sake of it. Is ridiculous.

    Omg I could cry right now. You just saved my hair from me cutting it off from too many split ends. This method is a game changer. Bless you!🙏

    This is the most effective way !! When stylists cut like 4-5 inches off they don’t even get all the split ends! Some are at the top. You are the smartest stylist I’ve ever seen where are you located!!?

    Why do most hairdressers not do this arghhh! 20cm just chop off my hair! Ddnt care at all. I ddnt even say that much. Guttered! And my hair type grows so slow. Be another yr n a half b4 its tht long again.

    I'm using similar technique and cutting my own hair for almost 7 years cause I want to grow my layers and it is great! My hair is currently 97 cm and still growing. 😊
    Great video by the way, I'm glad that there are stylists that don't get scissors happy and chop everything. 😊👌

    Yes! I've been doing this for yrs. I also take a piece of hair, twirl it real tight, and the split ends stick out like a sore thumb.

    OMG!!!! First time seeing this technique, soooooo glad you took the time to instruct this video. My hair is really long, halfway down my back, but every time I go to the salon it's like getting the big chop. It's shoulder length once they're done. ❤❤❤❤

    I wish I could go to you. I love the salon I go to but my hair stylist gets a little scissor happy and whatever length I had is gone. I’m going to get a dusting because my hair is getting long and I don’t want to lose it. You definitely care for your clients!

    This video came right on time. I want to straighten my hair and trim it without losing length. I hate the fact that other hairs have to suffer just because some need a trim. This techniques save the length of strains that don't need as dramatic of a cut, thank you.

    Oh wow I actually learned this from a white stylist when I worked in a corporate salon and I saved this lady INCHES! Lol. That’s actually a good way to know your silk press isn’t “heavy”. I do think some stylist just look at the hair and where they begin to see split ends and go “u need to cut it here” and give u a bob. Lmao

  • @SharriD
    @SharriD 4 года назад +16

    I've been natural now for nearly 6 years. No one has every mentioned this method when trimming my hair. Every stylist I've been to cut upwards the hair shaft to take off just a few splits ends. I've lost about 6-7 inches every year just to get a handful of split ends. Wow! Now that I know better, I'll be sure to share this video before I ever let another stylish trim my hair. Thanks for sharing! May your business grown abundantly 2020 and beyond.

    Nice! Haven't had heat on my natural hair for over a year. My split ends aren't that bad but everytime stylists go nuts cutting off unnecessary length to make their jobs easier. This technique clearly requires more time and pateince and more stylist are becoming lazy. I'm going to get a silk press soon and I'm declining their trim and just will do my own like this at home. So done paying extra money to have someone cutting my hair too much. It is now shoulder length, healthy, I plan on keeping it that way.

    WOW! I never saw a beautician use this technique before, they just cut half of the client's hair off. I will be doing my own trimming in the next week or so, haven't really had one since going natural almost seven years ago. I do pay close attention to my hair especially the ends, looking for split ends but so far I do not see a problem. I have cut off thin parts of my hair every few months so maybe that is why, but thank you so much for this and I will try it. Where are you located, I would love to have you trim my hair, I live in Dallas?
