I know a guy was working on an nvme adapter that allows a 2230 and oculink but keep in mind when you split the bandwidth like that your going to have even more of a bottleneck because there’s only so many lanes on just one nvme slot so splitting it is like if you were given a burger and had to split it with 3 people, you’ve got less burger lol

Tons of people are already doing this with or without me but I wanted to show why I don’t like it. It doesn’t defeat the purpose. Still lighter than the legion go. It still is portable. And you’ll see I in the end said I’m not using it and I prefer the ugreen battery
@@cppctek oh I watched the video and my comment wasnt specific to you. It was just a general comment about these types of mods that people seem to want. I 1000% agree with you on the ugreen power bank cause that's what I use. I like a lot of the mods you did to your Ally and legion go. They were really done well (half of which I'll personally never do except for the NVME mod). I just think that people expecting much larger batteries, by using a laptop battery kind of defeats the purpose of the device to an extent. The ugreen power bank still keep the device in it's original state of portability. Like if people want a much larger battery then they must go with a different device with a bigger battery.
It would be interesting to see from you a Mod for the battery from Ugrin, so that it becomes one with the back cover. As you did with the battery in this video. Because the watch strap looks very unreliable
If some one made the cables for this, I'd consider it, but currently I use a 92000mAh 140W battery bank with solar panel extensions on the strap of my sling bag that I carry it in for both ROG Ally & Quest 3(not using the Quest 3 on the Ally, just standalone). I look forward to seeing about the dpad and buttons content in the future. Also, have you looked further into the AtlasOS 0.4 to put on one of your Ally units? I wish there was some sort of Steam Deck like core control for lower core usage and frequency to have the power profiles of wattage reflect effective higher GPU to core utilization, but so far, I've not seen anything that can do that. That's the killer app the Ally is missing to extend battery life further and not just be locked into 8 cores all the time when it's not needed just throwing extra heat limiting the GPU performance.
But doesn't the power bank give off heat? And mounting it over the intake verts it would just suck in warm air no? Or have I just been using cheap power banks cause they all get hot

Nah I’m sorry. But you also don’t want it brother it was super duper janky and not worth it at all what so ever. The batery life on the battery bank is better and safer and can do 30w turbo.
