Career Success when they ask how soon are you looking to start? Recently interviewed and they were on board with me giving my old employer two weeks notice
When the director told me that I'm gonna be working with these kind of people. When he said that this will be the things that we'll be doing. The hiring manager also said that I have a big disadvantage because of my background.
Applying for a position at a food processing company, the hiring manager got the production staff to send up a sample of a newly launched product, gave it to me to take home and then she asked me to reply with my thoughts. By the afternoon of the following day, an offer was on the table for the role.
Request for "end-of-contract" dates. I'm a travel nurse. Also, I've been asked to continue to shop their job listings, apply, then contact that specific recruiter after I've applied.
Most interviews are already a done deal. My mother was an interviewer for many years and she revealed employers already have a good idea who they want to give the job to before the interviews even start. It takes an exceptionally bad performance by the chosen candidate or an exceptionally good performance by the others to change their minds.
mambet naryn Same here I had an 3 panel interview on July 9th and haven’t heard anything I felt good when I left but getting worried by the day. What’s your update?
I always tell people to keep interviewing with other companies until an offer is extended to you. If a company really wants to hire you, they're not going to wait days to extend an offer. They generally will be communicating with you through the process.
In fact, suggest that other companies have shown interest in you. See how quickly they get back to you, and are more willing to give you what you want, when you are in demand. That tells you everything you need to know.
I had a hiring manager reach out to me after I interviewed with her to give me feedback about my interview. She called me a day before I went into the second tier interview with her company. She told me what I should focus on during the next interview and what I should improve upon. I’d never experienced that and didn’t know what to make of it.
I recently received feedback DURING my interview with a recruiter! I was SHOOK but I took it as a sign that she thought I was a good fit for the company and that she saw great potential in me. Feel that same confidence in yourself!
@@Fromreligiontorelationship some feedback is always welcome and if its something that can be worked on great. but don't fall for the gaslighting some present. i just got feedback from a big company and i have been working for their 2 big competitors. and their feedback was im a little too introvert because "they are like a family and they hangout after work" and also lowkey you are asking for a too much money." they knew my pay needs well in advance. but the red flag of expected outside of business hours mandatory fun is a huge turnoff. i have a life outside work thank you very much
At the end of an interview for a job I was a bit lukewarm about, the interviewers said "We want you to know that we are still interviewing ...". Rather than giving a textbook interview response I said, "I understand. So am I." I got a call with an offer the same evening.
Congratulations on the offer,! We appreciate you sharing a great example of options for responding. However, it looks like your selection of response worked great.. Thanks for visiting the Career Success Channel. Best wishes.
If they tell you they're still interviewing other candidates means most likely they're wasting your time. Simple facts. I'm older now and will not do anymore than two interviews. It wastes my time. Either you want me or you don't.
A sign that I got towards the end of the interview was, the interviewer who was the department manager was, she waived my resume and said “I’ve already made my decision”
Hi Mel! Did you receive the job offer? I'd encourage you to follow-up if you haven't. Check out a video on just that here: ruclips.net/video/5-MZuYCkweY/видео.html
Maintaing a great vibe (rapport) with your interviewers. As an example, if your interview feels more like a coffee shop conversation with friendly coworkers rather than a Q & A firing squad -- your chances are good for getting hired.
One of my interviews was like that. We talked back and forth about other things like psychology, games, exercising, etc. The manager even offered to walk me around the office! He told me they will let me know again in the following week if I have been shortlisted. Unfortunately, I haven't heard from him for a little more than a week. I went to check the job post and it is still open. I am not sure what to think of this...
@@DionLYAhappen to me last week they said that will let me know in 2 days HR told me that they still deciding after the second day, she called me and I have the job I feel in some cases is hard for them or maybe they need to decide in a team but yeah on the interview it was more about a coffe shop than an interview.
Before my boss hired me, he said, “we’ve completed our interviews and we’d like to do a background check. Is there anything you want to tell me before we proceed?” I almost laughed, but I just replied, “No, my record is clean.” I guess that was my sign I got the job.
I start my new job in a week, but all these things happened in my interview 😊 I actually got the call where they offered me the job as I was driving out of their parking lot! Plus they offered me $5 over my asking hourly rate lol I really wanted to work for this company. So when I showed up, I think they could tell that I was excited to be there. The interview was more conversational than serious and boring. I think they could see me fitting into their culture and that made a huge difference. She walked me around the office and introduced me to a couple of key HR people. I'm so excited for this next phase of my life.
Lily, that is such exciting news! I'm really proud of you and hope that this role is everything that you've imagined it to be. :-) Thank you for the update.
Stargazer Lily Hey, hows your new job going? Hopefully you’re still enjoying it. l had an interview today that l am hoping to get, for now l just need to wait!
Thank you letters are a thing of the past. If an employer doesn't want to hire you, a thank you letter is a waste of time. I generally know who I want to hire just by looking at someone's experience. The only obstacle the employee has to pass with me is personality. If I like your personality, you're hired. If I get the feeling you're sketchy or something doesn't feel right, you're not being offered the job
My last interview ended with interviewer/manager stating it was a privlilege talking with me. I wasnt sure if she was being kind until 1wk later she called informing me they went with someone within their dept however they enjoyed me sooo much they still want me on their team in another role!!!💓
A lot of times, employers conduct fake interviews. Meaning, they already know who they want to hire, but corporate requires a certain amount of interviews. I've been on a few of those before. I've even been on interviews, where I thought i got the job and didn't. Why would an employer keep you in an interview for over and hour and not want to offer you the job? What a waste of time. Then, you find out who they hired and it's someone with barely an experience. Few months later, they called me back and offered me the job. Of course, I declined. Who wants to work for a company who thought you were second best and now they want me on their team.
This is such a good tip as an employer. Because the best tip I’ve heard as a person applying is to not only focus on how u “CAN” qualify with past experience but try to create an image in the employers head how u “WILL” be beneficial to the company moving forward. (Reiterate this throughout the interview)
During the interview, signs that they're paying close attention to my answers (versus just going through a prepared list of questions). Asking follow-up questions, or even better, later in an interview referring back to my answer to an earlier question. In short, anything that makes the interview more like a conversation and less like a thing they have to get through.
One interview I was asked why I wanted to work for them, I gave my answer. When I asked why they enjoy working there, they repeated the same answer I did.
A good tool I use is to bring my portfolio containing my 30,60, 90 day plan which also contains a few work samples; I've had employers actually tell me, "wow, we have never implemented anything like this before." or "wow, we need that here." :)
I always say the only guarantee is an actual job offer! So, you are right - just because there are good signs it does not always mean a job offer is on the way!
John, I have had that exact experience on 4 different job opportunities. Recruiter, then H.R., behavior evaluation test, Division MGR who will be my boss, then SR. Vice President. I still didn't get the job. I was liked so much, they gave letters of recommendation from each of them. Success this time! I signed an offer letter and start date is January 13, 2020!
I just had an interview today. It was my best interview I’ve done, the hiring manager said I sounded like a great fit for the company. I shall hear back in a few days if I get the job or not!
@@CareerSuccess I got the job! The manager said I showed enthusiasm, which made her want to hire me, despite me not having the formal knowledge of some of the requirements of the role.
I don’t know if this is a good perk for most people, but the company that I interviewed with worked 4 - 10 hour days Monday-Thursday and you get Friday, Saturday and Sundays off. I would love having a three day weekend every single week!! Hoping that I get the job 🤞🏾
I had a interview today for Respiratory Therapist. The interviewer complimented me and told me she can tell I’m a calm person and that I was very professional. I also got the wide eye reactions and nods like you mentioned like she was astonished by some of my answers.
So my special perk was that a commission-based company pays $300 a day for training. And the same company a big saying I noticed that they wanted to hire me was that my third interview was 90% about filling out a new-hire packet
I had an interview last night and the interviewer actually said this interview has gone well and really upbeat and positive. I'm so hoping they ring me as promised on Monday with an offer!
They said in a follow up replying to my thank you email that she agreed that I would be a great fit for the position. This is after she gave me a tour and introduced me to employees and asked when I would be able to start. Job is between me and three others. Got the second interview with the owner to meet him and they said they were impressed with my resume and was happy that I sent a cover letter which they asked for but apparently didn’t receive many. Just waiting for the final guy to finish their second interview and they said they will get back to me regardless of the answer shortly after that. Sometimes I feel like I might over think things sometimes given the time to sit and wait haha!
@@laylaferris got the job but turned out to be the most toxic family I have ever worked for. Cameras watching us at every cubical. Owner sat at home and listen to our conversations live with customers while he watched us on video. Owners daughter(sales manager) would scream at her younger brother in the office and at customers. All they care about was money. It was the worst job I have ever had. Only good thing about it was it paid well and I was able to buy a house. I have never felt so relieved in my life when they told me I was laid off.
Had a phone interview last week. She told me she’d be pushing my resume out the office in my state (they’re national) & my second interview would be in person meeting the project team on site. She’s looked at my linked in twice since then. I of course sent a thank you note after the phone interview. She told me I would be hearing from her for sure this week. The wait is killing me.
I got interviewed two weeks ago and there were two bosses . They gave me the appointment for the interview one day after my application. Both have showed me the office and told me where there office in the building is, joked that it’s an expensive place but worth the rent and told me I am the first candidate but there are still other applications.. One of the boss told me :,, You will hear back from us within a week.“ the other boss told :,, two weeks would be better .“ What does it means ?
Hi there! Congratulations on what sounds like an interview that went well. Have you watched our video on how to follow up after an interview? You may find it helpful - ruclips.net/video/5-MZuYCkweY/видео.html Let me know if you have questions after you watch.
I went to a job interview and they asked me when would I be able to start also they told me what benefits they have and introduced to all the staff members and gave me a tour to every single space of the facility and showed me the program that they use there. They also told me that I have a great resume and they think I be great for that position. I should hear back in a few days he has other interviews pending . The interview lasted more than 1 hour. I hope I really get this job.
My last interview was the most strange. The manager didn't use my resume but took me on a complete tour explaining in detail the departments and tasks. Showing me all pros even lunch or dinner. Just totally different.
Thank you, Sam. I'm excited that you are enjoying it! Let me know if there's any content you'd like to see in the near future! We are always working on new videos.
Great info! I just had a phone interview with the HR manager. What stood out to me was when she asked me where else I was interviewing. When I did a follow up thank you note, she did not give an email address because she said she would contact whomever was going to the next round next week. I found her LinkedIn profile and sent a thank you letter well after business hours. Her response was in less than 5 minutes apologizing for not getting back to me sooner about the next round but to look for an email next week. She seemed just as excited as I was. 🤞🏿
Interviewer said they think I’d be a good fit, when I said my job is offer 13.50 for me to stay they said they can do better, and and they contacted my references called for a second interview 4 hours after the first
I had a job interview yesterday and it went pretty good. It lasted about a half hour but it isn’t guaranteed that I’ll get the job but I hope I do. Yesterday they told me hopefully they’ll call me Thursday (tomorrow) for some decision making. They only have one position. Keeps my fingers crossed. Had one last week too so hopefully I hear from them soon as well, whoever contacts me first.
I interviewed for a job last night. The first thing the department manager said to me was, you will be helping all hispanic clientele plus also non hispanic clientele. I got the job before I interviewed I felt it in our phone conversation that the job was mine before I interviewed.
One of the main signs is when she was highly considering me on her list of candidates. Also, she was asking for my advice on how I would feel taking on a mobile app project and multiple design projects. She also loved how I made a chart of all the accomplishments from my last jobs.
Saw this video today and I am in the process of hearing back from a company for the second round of interviews this coming week. I hope this is a good sign.
I recently had an interview on Friday. 1) The interviewer asked me about other interviews. 2) It went over the expected time 3) The interview became more conversational 4) I sent a thank you letter and received a response right away. However, I was told they are still interviewing other candidates. What does this mean?
Thank you for leaving a comment. It sounds like you had a great interview experience. It is normal that even if a company really likes you that they may still want to interview others, even if to only compare them against your interview experience. I would say to simply keep thinking positive thoughts and continue your job search. What is meant for you will definitely be yours. I promise.
hey @key House, I am in the same situation, they are telling me they'll come up with me with final division in 2 weeks. I wanted to know that did you get that job and how much time it takes to get response from them? Thanks in advance!
I work as a contractor for a consulting company. My project was working on a big implementation for a medical organization. I emailed management (who I’ve worked with throughout the project) about my interest and attached a resume. One of them said, “yes, Steve is actually the hiring manager.” Steve responded right away and said he would set me up with his HR specialist. For my interview with Steve, it was more of a conversation. He told me my second interview would be with a panel, which happens to include Steve, one of my mentors, and another lead. I had it at the beginning of last week and was supposed to hear back at the end of last week. Steve ended up emailing me last Friday saying that they had a lot of qualified candidates and are having a hard time deciding. He would let me know early next week and as soon as possible. It is now Wednesday and haven’t heard anything. Starting to get worried. I feel like if they really wanted me, they would’ve said something by now maybe? I apply my jobs rules from my early 20’s dating rule - if they were really interested, they would not want to let me get away.
The hiring process can be very time consuming. Some organizations have specific rules about how many candidates must be considered for a job before extending an offer. It sounds like Steve has a tough decision to make. I recommend sending him a follow up email and expressing your interest and gratitude for being considered and acknowledge his tough decision also asking if a decision has been made. Thank you for the great question, I hope you hear something soon!
We spoke about 35 min, she gave me all the info I needed. We didn't talk about numbers. She wanted face to face the following day and I chose the earliest slot. I sent an email after the interview, thankging them for her time. They didn't respond back but I knew it was because they were busy. Interview face to face went great, she introduced me to her right hand and the boss. I have 3 job offers, "the one" and I will sign paperwork in 2 days. But I will wait to sign before I turn down the rest. My field is recruiting so I know how interviews go. One of the other offers I spoke to the Manager for a total of 1hr and few minutes. When interviews go longer than 20 min it's likely that they really do want you and want to find more about you. Always feel confident in your skills and if you lack on something work on it. And all the points she said are correct.
Just had an interview and she asked me, “what are you going to miss most about leaving your current job?” I answered just leaving the people because I love everyone I work with. Her response was, “it’s always bittersweet going to a new job!” This feels like such a good sign but UGH I can’t stop overthinking until I get the official answer 🤣
Hello great video. Just had an interview last Friday where they ended it with “you should be receiving an email from Talent Acquisition for reference checking “ and then I was walked around and spent an additional hour with the current manager doing the job not the hiring manager. Fingers crossed. Perk would be paying all healthcare costs.
I had an interview last week for about 1 hour. It was nobody from HR .It was with the executive director and the manager of the department. They asked me about when I can start....the salary...how I react in a stressful situation....and so on....the usual..... Fingers crossed! I really hope to get this job. Thank you for the video!
Most of the signs I experienced those and the dept. manager told me "I feel lighthearted/ comfortable with you". The 1st person who interviewed me says that I still have one final interview with the HR manager and just wait for a call. Another thing the dept.manager told me that she is giving me an assignment to memorize by heart the 8 core values that's displayed on the wall.

Hello and thanks for sharing the success of your perk request. We are happy that it worked out in your favor. We appreciate you stopping by the Career Success Channel. Best of luck.
In the current job I am trying to leave, they don't even have an employee restroom...in any of the 3 floors. Employees have to use the lobby or cafeteria restroom on the 1st floor unless they're from other depts
Hello Jerome, Thanks for stopping by the Career Success Channel to share your positive experience with a recent interview. We wish you continued success. Keep us posted.
I'm applying for a golf Professional job at a golf course and there's a program you go through to become certified. This place pays for you to go through that program (which can be upwards of $8000) which is really nice for the field I'm going in. They showed me around the place, gave me just about every detail of what the job entails and what I would be doing, they asked me about my insurance without me bringing it up, I met another employee I would be working with, and they told me when they would follow up with me and when they would like to hire someone. They also asked me if the current place I work at knows I'm looking for another job (which they do) and if I would give them a 2 weeks notice (which I would and honor that 2 weeks notice). I'm still in that in between stage right now of hearing back, but it sounds like they are at least interested in me for that position.
Chippy1032, that is VERY exciting to hear. They did all of the right things which sounds like you must've impressed them. Did you ask them how soon the would plan to make a decision? Gives you an idea of when you may need to follow up with them (if they don't get back to you beforehand). Wishing you GREAT luck and keep me posted!
@@CareerSuccess yeah the director that interviewed me told me he would follow up with me in a couple weeks. He is on vacation this week. He told me they wanted to hire someone in August or the start of September, so they did give me a time table of when they wanted the hiring process to be done. Now I'm just in the anxiety driven waiting period haha. Thank you for the reply and everything you do on your channel!
Hi Conor, Thank you for your comment on the Career Success channel. Sometimes, Employers get excited and passionate sharing the opportunity with a candidate. I've been in an interview where they referred to me in the role and I didn't get the position. Refer back to this video before your next interview to identify those signs. We also have videos on interviewing signs that things didn't go well. I recommend you watch both and look for the signs. Thank you again!
Great video!!! Phone interviewed for a job I really want to get. Got all the cues - besides sign #3 due to it being over the phone - and really felt a great bond with the interviewer. I’m really hoping everything goes well. I’m overthinking so much because of it lol. One of the best benefits that would get me hyped for a job is definitely a gym membership.
I am so excited for you, Kuramaah! I also hope that everything goes well and please keep me posted. By the way, did you see my other post about "How to keep the conversation going after the interview" : ruclips.net/video/JGsGyDoMv5E/видео.html This may help you too!
I feel like this is a good channel for all Races, I mean I'm Caucasian and I use this channel for the last few weeks for my interviews and it's helped me greatly
@@VRGamercz it doesn't but the channel is branded for a particular race. All I was doing was pointing out the fact that this advice can work for all Races not just one
Hi, i loved your videos. I had two interviews last week one of them has come back to me saying i have passed for the second stage which i thought i did bad in. Now the second interview from another company the atmosphere was totally different. The interview was casual the conversation. He told me a lot about his personal stuff like his previous job, he likes to watch netflix suits. He smiled at me a lot. He told me a lot about the future plan of the company what he wants to do etc, how he managed to get this project. A few time he did tell me he was going off topic and it is another story to tell. He asked me have i applied for other jobs, he said he is looking for the right one to fit this role. He told me there one more interview on Monday and i will get a feedback by Wed/Thurs. The interview went on for like 1hour and 20 minutes he said oh looks like we ran over time, he prefers to talk to me rather than go back to work. I am just nervous to think whether i will get an offer.
@@badfairyy Hi, unfortunately not they liked and all the feedback was something really stupid. I didn't understand how he could give me a real life scenario he experienced with 3 mins time and only gave it 1/12 mins to me. I still managed to answer it with 1/2 seconds left. Anyhow maybe that job was not meant to be since i managed to succeed in another few other interviews with multiple counter offer really quick.
Justin Tong wow that’s awesome to hear. I’m happy for you! That job was not meant to be. Forget them. Glad you had many other successful offers, I’m working on the same thing. I intend to secure a job offer before the end of the year. You give me some hope ✨
If an employer really wants to hire you, they'll start mentioning the benefits you'll receive aa an employee. They may even show you where your office is located and introduce you to your coworkers or to your employees.
I just had an amazing interview with my dream company. It was an hour and twenty minutes long with a zoom panel of 4 people (VP, Director, & 2 other team members) where I had to present a powerpoint presentation on my experience and why I fit the job. I sent the thank you emails and received a quick and positive response; however yesterday marked 2 weeks since the interview. I sent a quick follow up email and she responded by saying going forth I will need to communicate with the recruiter on status updates for the position and that the position is still open and the interview process is still underway. Soooo... now what. As far as I knew I was the only one that interviewed for that position.
Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. I would send a note to your Recruiter asking for clarity of where you stand in the interview process. It's very typical to receive a response from a Hiring Manager like you did. Contacting your Recruiter is the best method of communication. Great question, thank you for watching!
Longer than normal interviews was the sign that they were interested in hiring me (2×2 hours). I also got 15 minutes 'private' time with an employee that would be my direct colleague to find out what she really thought of her manager. And tough questions about my knowledge and my ideas about the future direction of my field of work. The best question the manager himself asked was 'what was the last conflict you had with your manager'. I got the job, I'll be 50 next month - so don't let that discourage you in any way :)
In my interview last week I was given a tour of the department, introduce me to The staff, the director was tell the manager that he would have to work with me and my school schedule and I don’t have kids so she would be here when we need her. But I am still not sure because I haven’t received a email or anything after I send my thank you note. If I don’t get a offer all those signs meant nothing.
Hi there & thank you for sharing your experience. Did they give you a timeline about their decision making process? Also - this video might be helpful ruclips.net/video/unaUvfDwQK0/видео.html

I had the interview today she asked me questions and she showed me around the kitchen and where they make salads she wants me to come back in for paperwork I've had service jobs before and I know I got this especially when she showed me where the service station is
The government shutdown threw a wrench in my interview process. I took a civil service test, scored really well , got invited to an "interview" that turned into a group hiring session. We were told offers would be extended in 1-2 weeks. I'm coming up on week two 😑 with no response! I'm super anxious!
I can only imagine how this has been affecting the interview process. It may very well have something to do with the wait time you are experiencing. At the end of two weeks, I would go ahead and follow-up. Good luck to you!
I just had an interview the lady talkies more about herself and her family than the job! I’m waiting on her to finish interviews before makin a decision. She’s hiring 3 people for the office.
I've sent a thank you note. and this is their response. "It was a pleasure speaking with you and having an opportunity to learn about your interests and skill set. John and I will be discussing this position within the next couple of days and will get back to you. Have a great weekend! " I don't know how to interpret it.
Interviewer told me they would call later on because she only had 2 more interviews and I was to make sure I kept my phone beside me. She told me what I would be doing as if I worked there and she corrected herself several times to 'if'. Didn't get a call :(
I had an interview back in July and had a great interview. Ultimately, they went with someone internally I asked why in a follow up email and The hiring manager explained it to me. Fast forward too the beginning of this week, and I get an email from said Hiring manager saying that if I was still interested there was a position open for the same position I interviewed for back in July. I applied and sent her an email thanking her for thinking of me and that I applied. She sent a reply back to thank me. That felt good that she did that. 😁
I have a question to ask okay then employees calls you to come in for an interview and then tells u that u are hired then doesn't call you and tell you what day you start 😠. Is that company interested in you or they just playing with?
I finished my last interview however they told me these things "how much it pays..when the start day is..I was given a light tour of where the cafeteria is and where certain areas were - that tour was before the interview. I havent received an email of anything indicating if I was declined or accepted so are those signs?!
Hi - I want to start by saying thank you for watching & engaging! I appreciate you. The only sure signs are a job offer or a declination notification. Have you sent a follow-up to the interviewer? Also, we have a video that explains why there might be a delay in you hearing back after an interview!
I had a verbal job offer from the Hiring Manager last July 28, 2022, I followed up after 3 days and they told me they are on a break due to COVID-19 but they'll keep in touch and will send the Final offer soon, But now, it's almost 2 weeks and I have no update from them.
What other signs have you noticed that makes you believe an employer wants you on their team?
Career Success when they ask how soon are you looking to start? Recently interviewed and they were on board with me giving my old employer two weeks notice
When the director told me that I'm gonna be working with these kind of people.
When he said that this will be the things that we'll be doing.
The hiring manager also said that I have a big disadvantage because of my background.

I'm not sure, but an employer asked me if I had a passport. Is this a good thing???
Request for "end-of-contract" dates. I'm a travel nurse. Also, I've been asked to continue to shop their job listings, apply, then contact that specific recruiter after I've applied.
Most interviews are already a done deal. My mother was an interviewer for many years and she revealed employers already have a good idea who they want to give the job to before the interviews even start. Yes that is very accurate

mambet naryn Same here I had an 3 panel interview on July 9th and haven’t heard anything I felt good when I left but getting worried by the day. What’s your update?
I hope this be true to me too
Very accurate. Especially for those who are liked by management team almost always get it. Unfair, but true.
I always tell people to keep interviewing with other companies until an offer is extended to you. If a company really wants to hire you, they're not going to wait days to extend an offer. They generally will be communicating with you through the process.
100%!
In fact, suggest that other companies have shown interest in you.
See how quickly they get back to you, and are more willing to give you what you want, when you are in demand. That tells you everything you need to know.

That is great you received feedback. Did you find it useful?
@@CareerSuccess yes I did find it useful and I utilized her advice but unfortunately I still did not get the job.
I recently received feedback DURING my interview with a recruiter! I was SHOOK but I took it as a sign that she thought I was a good fit for the company and that she saw great potential in me. Feel that same confidence in yourself!
@@Fromreligiontorelationship some feedback is always welcome and if its something that can be worked on great. but don't fall for the gaslighting some present. i just got feedback from a big company and i have been working for their 2 big competitors. and their feedback was im a little too introvert because "they are like a family and they hangout after work" and also lowkey you are asking for a too much money." they knew my pay needs well in advance. but the red flag of expected outside of business hours mandatory fun is a huge turnoff. i have a life outside work thank you very much
Mandatory fun yuck….my time outside of work belongs to me!
That was smooth 👈😎
That's awesome!! 😎
Except that if they asked you why you want to work for THEIR company, it might turn them off that they are just one option.
If they tell you they're still interviewing other candidates means most likely they're wasting your time. Simple facts. I'm older now and will not do anymore than two interviews. It wastes my time. Either you want me or you don't.
I experienced all of these signs a few days ago, was called the next day for a second interview this coming up Monday.
That is great to hear, Lashan! I am proud of you. How did the second interview go?
A sign that I got towards the end of the interview was, the interviewer who was the department manager was, she waived my resume and said “I’ve already made my decision”
Hi Mel! Did you receive the job offer? I'd encourage you to follow-up if you haven't. Check out a video on just that here: ruclips.net/video/5-MZuYCkweY/видео.html
company car, travel opportunities, work from home, higher salary than what I asked for and awesome benefits!
Those sound like GREAT perks!
@@DionLYAhappen to me last week they said that will let me know in 2 days
HR told me that they still deciding after the second day, she called me and I have the job I feel in some cases is hard for them or maybe they need to decide in a team but yeah on the interview it was more about a coffe shop than an interview.
I got my last two jobs that way.
It also made me want to work for them more.
Meet, great and chit chat interviews are sometimes the most positive signs, especially if they take you out to eat on your interview.
Before my boss hired me, he said, “we’ve completed our interviews and we’d like to do a background check. Is there anything you want to tell me before we proceed?” I almost laughed, but I just replied, “No, my record is clean.” I guess that was my sign I got the job.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
Nowadays, "the winner" is the one who spoke out the lowest salary! unless your positions are so special and require a lot of skills.
Perk that made me want the job ... Work-From-Home opportunities!!!
That is something employees are increasingly appreciative of!
Thank you!
Stargazer Lily Hey, hows your new job going? Hopefully you’re still enjoying it. l had an interview today that l am hoping to get, for now l just need to wait!
I recently had an interview last week and sent a thank you letter and got a response. I never had that before. I hope that’s a good sign!!
how long did it take for a response? i'm hoping i get the job
That is so fantastic! You are amazing. Congratulations to you!
@@CareerSuccess thank uuuuu
This is a great perspective to bring with you into an interview. You want them to see you as the ideal candidate.
Career Success by the way I got hired on Tuesday ! 😁 love your video!!
During the interview, signs that they're paying close attention to my answers (versus just going through a prepared list of questions). Asking follow-up questions, or even better, later in an interview referring back to my answer to an earlier question. In short, anything that makes the interview more like a conversation and less like a thing they have to get through.
Thank you so much for your comment. We appreciate you being here.
One interview I was asked why I wanted to work for them, I gave my answer.
When I asked why they enjoy working there, they repeated the same answer I did.
A pretty cool perk that was offered from a real estate company I interviewed at was access to the company's private jet for business travel.
That IS a cool perk.
WOW!!!!
A good tool I use is to bring my portfolio containing my 30,60, 90 day plan which also contains a few work samples; I've had employers actually tell me, "wow, we have never implemented anything like this before." or "wow, we need that here." :)
What an intuitive approach! I'm proud of you!
I have actually done that for an interview quite recently, though its a grad role, hence why it taking longer
Hate to be a stick in the mud, but...I have been on interviews where I have seen most, if not all, of these signs. And I still did not get the job.
I always say the only guarantee is an actual job offer! So, you are right - just because there are good signs it does not always mean a job offer is on the way!
Might be 'cause you come across as a stick in the mud????
John,
I have had that exact experience on 4 different job opportunities. Recruiter, then H.R., behavior evaluation test, Division MGR who will be my boss, then SR. Vice President. I still didn't get the job. I was liked so much, they gave letters of recommendation from each of them. Success this time! I signed an offer letter and start date is January 13, 2020!
firetraining1 congrats, you started today. How was it?
@@steverogers1976 I wouldn't see these signs if I came across as a stick in the mud.
Health Insurance for a $1 a pay check!!!! SOLD
The thing that made me want to work for the company is that it's remote, they mentioned training for 2-4 months.
Thank you so much for your comment. We appreciate you being here.
I just had an interview today. It was my best interview I’ve done, the hiring manager said I sounded like a great fit for the company. I shall hear back in a few days if I get the job or not!
I am so proud of you! Keep me posted.
@@CareerSuccess I got the job! The manager said I showed enthusiasm, which made her want to hire me, despite me not having the formal knowledge of some of the requirements of the role.
Still wating their email or calls. The interviewer said will call few days if we push through the role and job offer or not.
I don’t know if this is a good perk for most people, but the company that I interviewed with worked 4 - 10 hour days Monday-Thursday and you get Friday, Saturday and Sundays off. I would love having a three day weekend every single week!! Hoping that I get the job 🤞🏾
Keep me posted about the job!
I had a interview today for Respiratory Therapist. The interviewer complimented me and told me she can tell I’m a calm person and that I was very professional. I also got the wide eye reactions and nods like you mentioned like she was astonished by some of my answers.
That is fantastic! You should feel great about your interview and yourself. Be sure to follow up as well! Wishing you the best of luck!
So my special perk was that a commission-based company pays $300 a day for training. And the same company a big saying I noticed that they wanted to hire me was that my third interview was 90% about filling out a new-hire packet
I’ve have experienced A LOT of these signs for very jobs and still didn’t get the job🤷🏽♀️
I always say the only sure sign is a job offer!
@@CareerSuccess yes indeed! I have learned that throughout the years!
Sometimes I feel like I might over think things sometimes given the time to sit and wait haha!
any update? ik your comment is old tho lol
Perk that I REALLY want - employer paid healthcare. Such a huge expense gone.
Hi Alli! It can be sooo hard to wait. I hear you. Have you followed up yet?

I appreciate you! Thank you.

Let me know if you have questions after you watch.

Your 25 questions doc is amazing. Thank you so much!
Thank You!!!!! Awesome video. Tomorrow will be the second interview for me. Mid-Level Management/Advanced.
Hi Tanya! I am so happy you found the video useful. How did your second interview go?
A perk that makes me want to work at McDonald’s is free food while on the clock.
Interviewer said they think I’d be a good fit, when I said my job is offer 13.50 for me to stay they said they can do better, and and they contacted my references called for a second interview 4 hours after the first
Hi Veronica! Please give me an update!
free lunch perk ..... only way to my heart
I'm rooting for you!
I interviewed for a job last night. The first thing the department manager said to me was, you will be helping all hispanic clientele plus also non hispanic clientele. I got the job before I interviewed I felt it in our phone conversation that the job was mine before I interviewed.
Peace of mind and Growth in Technology is the best perk an Employer can provide.
Thank you for sharing!
One of the main signs is when she was highly considering me on her list of candidates. Also, she was asking for my advice on how I would feel taking on a mobile app project and multiple design projects. She also loved how I made a chart of all the accomplishments from my last jobs.
That is great feedback to get during an interview!
Had all 5 in my interview and got hired
Yaaaay! I'm super excited to hear that and congrats to you! I hope that you LOVE your job.
Saw this video today and I am in the process of hearing back from a company for the second round of interviews this coming week. I hope this is a good sign.

I had my over the phone went well, then I had interview, then they asked for references and gave her business card, I'm excited but not sure yet
Awesome Video!!
Plus, I really like the top? dress? that you're wearing it looks very striking!❤
Love your energy! Beautiful
This made my day to read. You've got this! Congratulations on betting on yourself.
Your video is SO useful. I just had interview for my junior receptionist and they were so hapy with me :) im so excited thank you
You are most welcome. Thank you for leaving a comment. 🙂

I had an interview where the person did some of these things but I didn’t get hired 🤷♀️
I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out. I always say the only sure sign is a job offer! How is your job search going?
same here...
That sounds like it went great! You should be proud. I'm rooting for you. Keep me posted!
Rochelle, Thank you for leaving a comment. Have you heard anything back yet? Keep me posted!
Showing me around and start date was very clear.

Now I'm just in the anxiety driven waiting period haha. Thank you for the reply and everything you do on your channel!

Justin Tong Did you get an offer?
Dam you r pretty and SMART you r helping me with job info
It's my pleasure to help you with your job search. Keep me posted if you have questions or need tips. Good luck to you.
Good for you! I'm proud of you. Thank you for sharing.

I would love telework perk.
great tips i am writing them all down before my interview.
Excellent! Wishing you all the luck. Thank you for watching.
my interviewer showed my whole office offered my lunch, and even dropped me back at my home - I didnt get the job...lol
💀
Ouch! Thanks for sharing.
I don't know how to interpret it.
I think you got the job!!!
Not only were they growing but they have a big sign on bonus! And you don’t have to wait long to receive.
Thanks for sharing in the Career Success Channel. We sincerely hope that you were successful with obtaining a new role. Best of luck.
Interviewer told me they would call later on because she only had 2 more interviews and I was to make sure I kept my phone beside me. She told me what I would be doing as if I worked there and she corrected herself several times to 'if'.
Didn't get a call :(
Sandra, have you tried giving them a follow up call yet? Keep me posted.
I had all these signs after multiple interview rounds. And nope.
I understand that can be disappointing. I always say the only sure sign is a job offer!
Thanks for the awesome video!
Thank YOU for being here.
What about when the hiring managers tells you at the very end of the interview. I’ll get in touch with HR
That could be a good sign. I always encourage people to follow-up as well. Have you seen this video: ruclips.net/video/5-MZuYCkweY/видео.html
That is great! Your tenacity showed up in your follow up & willingness to ask for feedback. Best of luck to you!
I have a question to ask okay then employees calls you to come in for an interview and then tells u that u are hired then doesn't call you and tell you what day you start 😠. Is that company interested in you or they just playing with?
Hi Amy! A few clarifying questions - did you sign an employment contract? Did they give you specifics about the hiring process?
No probationary period for benefits and get them on day one!🙏🏻🙌🏼
I finished my last interview however they told me these things "how much it pays..when the start day is..I was given a light tour of where the cafeteria is and where certain areas were - that tour was before the interview. I havent received an email of anything indicating if I was declined or accepted so are those signs?!
Hi - I want to start by saying thank you for watching & engaging! I appreciate you.
The only sure signs are a job offer or a declination notification. Have you sent a follow-up to the interviewer?
Also, we have a video that explains why there might be a delay in you hearing back after an interview!
Same i just interview today she said the would email me for second interview
I had a verbal job offer from the Hiring Manager last July 28, 2022, I followed up after 3 days and they told me they are on a break due to COVID-19 but they'll keep in touch and will send the Final offer soon, But now, it's almost 2 weeks and I have no update from them.
