Narratively, I think what really appeals to me is how much the Warden can change. See all of the other Origins, make the Warden feel like a good person, to one degree or another. You can totally play the Dwarf noble as a huge jerk. You can go on to be very ruthless in your playthrough, but I really enjoy having the Warden becoming more heroic as the time goes on. Never perfect, but improving. It makes for a very compelling story. Also having Kieran have a half-brother among the dwarven nobility rocks too.
Eh, I could see the city elf being ruthless as their exposure to humans was usually very bad and humans killed their mom, and you hang out and interact with a lot of humans.
All Power to the Dwarves: 1. Pick Dwarf-Noble. Bang some hot dwarven girls. 2. Romance Leliana. 3. Make Bhelan King, get your Son accepted into the house. Detroy the anveil. 4. Help the Dwarf-Priest who believes in Andraste. 5. Become Alistar best friend and make him King (hardend) while getting rid of Loghain and his daughter. 6. Let your Warden survive the Events of Origins 7. In Dragon Age 2, Make Hawk and Varik best friends. Or Enemies if you plan to kill off Hawk in DA:I 8. In Da:I pick Dwarf Inquisitor and romance a potential powerful ally like Dorian or Cassandra. 9. Make Leliana the new powerhouse of the church (hardend may be the better choice). Congratulation. You Dwarf-Warden is now the brother to a king and best friend to another king. Also being the lover/Husband to the head of the Church in Orlais, whith a Dwarf Inquisitor and Cassandra/Dorian as powerful allies.
Ok the Dwarf noble is my favorite. From a number-crunch gamist point of view, set up right no other origin can have the money the Dwarf noble can. You can walk out of the prologue with about 30 gold. Plus Gorim when you find him again is a merchant that will buy goods for a higher price than any other. Plus Dwarven dual dagger rogues are very op.
@@BelieveIt1051 The Reaper's Cudgel by itself sells for over 1300 gold. Origins is one game you really don't need exploits for. The Dwarf noble with Gorim just makes it even worse. He buys it at double the price of any other merchant.
While it's not my favorite origin it's in my top 3, it's very interesting and for what I remember I think it may be the longest one. And I think it's definitely the best origin to play a ruthless character. Both darwen origins make the dicision about who rules Orzammar one that I can care about (while playing other races I just don't care at all about who wins the throne, my warden knows nothing about warden politics and just wants help and anyone will work the same), but specially with the dwarf noble origin it makes a lot of sense to be involved and is a very personal decision.
Funny even as a dwarf noble i still go with behlen Because my head cannon dwarf noble loved both his brothers to death even though trian was mean to him and behlen betrayed him he was never mad just sad thats how dwarven politics made his brothers

I think a dwarf noble can have good reasons to choose either candidate, it just depends of your character personality, you can hate your brother for what he did to you and want to go with Harrowmont, you can still love your brother and want to support him, you could hate your brother but still think your family should be the one in power... so many options, but whatever your choice is you are invested in it.
I really liked this one once I used Quinn's Fixpack to be able to rescue my son. There's no way that bug shouldn't have gotten fixed by Bioware. It's your redemption.
Definitely the tightest Origin with the most to come back to in Orzammar. It also has an interesting set-up with how much you can shape your Warden from the beginning. With how quickly Gorim found his footing on the surface, I am still suspicious of him. No-one gets that lucky that quick. -_- Hard agree with joining the Legion, but running to the Wardens makes a tonne of sense here, more than in other Origins. The return to Orzammar has the most drama and it severely impacts the world state. For that alone, it's a fave.

Uh, I think your game is broken. Those dwarven women have beards. This is a great origin. You can take your time and enjoy it without a care in the world, or rush through it if you want to. There are plenty of choices to make all throughout. You can participate in your own Proving celebration or not. If you do, you can win or even lose and you still get choices regardless. You also hear about the dwarf commoner within this origin. As for the beard glitch, yes it is annoying, and it applies to some features for the male human as well. The trick is to pick the beard absolutely LAST, and that means clicking the exact point on the slider. But if you can do that it is possible to get full cheeks with a beard.
I only started playing this once and after I found out about the mechanic regarding Gorim in Orzammar, I never touched it again. This origin is not for me, it is for capitalists.

I kinda like the idea of the Warden being udderly ruthless. True Embodiment of a grey Warden as you will..will do ANYTHING to eradicate the darkspawn

This is my "canon"Warden I love playing as the "noble prince loved by all" but with still kind of dearf elitist side at the beginning.

Remove the beard, fix your cheeks, and then click on the slider where you beard is instead of dragging it.
