    Great video, but I would say to never use rawhide, bleached, and full of chemicals. Pig and cow ears or something along them line are a perfect option in my opinion and dogs loveee them 😊

    The diahrea could be the rawhide tbh.

    Our puppy is almost 6 months old and has decided that when she doesn’t want to come inside or go in her crate she will lie down and roll onto her back, belly up. Any tips to get her moving again? I try to be super exciting , offer treats move backwards etc. And she still won’t come if she doesn’t feel like it…

      that's her submitting to you

      Guessing you need to work with her more in short, fun training sessions. She needs to learn to listen to you. I would put a leash on her and pull her in, then reward. You are the leader, she needs to know when you ask her to do something she needs to do it. Reward her when she does what you want so she's sees the full picture.

    I see this is your last video since 3 mos ago. Will you be making more videos?
    We got a puppy last Wednesday and have followed so many of your videos and our puppy already knows sit, stand, down (puppy push ups), go potty (on command), go home (come home after potty), crate, place, touch, leave it, off and a few more.
    Every meal time i train and he loves it. Remaining consistent every day. He’s doing great on the leash as well.
    Looking forward to more of your vids hopefully

      Everything! Hahaha we just love your videos. You’re such a gifted teacher.
      But specifics would be:
      Natural flea & tick remedies-unfortunately, he came with a few fleas from the the breeder.
      After the puppy push ups, what next set of commands would you recommend as priority to teach next.
      We have land (10 acres with gardens etc). How to teach the pup to leave it but not feel like when you go outside it’s just constant leave it leave it leave it and treats when he does it.
      How to manage meal time plus treats and not feel like you’re overfeeding.
      More or leash walking & pulling etc.
      I know that’s a lot, but those come to top of mind.
      Thanks so much!

    WHat about retractable leashes - I live on 10 acres and am afraid of predators so I leash him for play ( with retractable ) the trainer said to practice with a 6 foot leash on sidewalks at home depot etc - would that confuse him? Mine is just 5 months about 55 lb

    • @SitStaywithStacySlade
      @SitStaywithStacySlade  Месяц назад

      I would only use the retractable leash when no one else is around. That would be good on your property and then a 6 foot flat leash when around ppl. No, she won't confuse them with good communication and training.

    I have a 5 month old Aussie who starts out great on our walks, stays on my left, doesn’t pull but about 1mile in he’ll start getting jumpy on my legs, growling and barking, just starts coming unglued. Are the walks too long? Am I not giving him enough treats, like what is he trying to tell me? It’s so embarrassing too. It looks like he’s attacking me, idk if he wants to play or stop and take a nap. Maybe the walks are too overstimulating for a 5 months old?

    • @SitStaywithStacySlade
      @SitStaywithStacySlade  10 месяцев назад

      I would shorten your walk. He likely is bored and wants to play. Think about taking a toddler on a mile or two hike, they would also melt down and want more entertainment and less structured walking.

    Hi. If I want to preorder a limited slip collar like you suggest for my puppy (picking up at 8 weeks), what size do you suggest? I would like to have it on hand right as I get her from the breeder. Also do have multiple sizes (and thicknesses) for as they get older? Thanks for any help!

    Great Info, Thanks! 2 Months ago We Got a Berner "Kota" and She is Amazing! Question, She is 4 Months now and she is getting better but she likes to bite my sleeves and bottom of my outside Flannel shirt, See will start Play growling but sometimes gets a little "too Rambunctious and feisty" and I have some nice Teeth marks in my Hand where she misses the shirt and she does not know how sharp her teeth are and how powerful her jaws are...How do we stop this? Training her has been great so far, just need to stop the play biting...TIA!!

      Put her on a leash on her. That will help you control her. Redirect with commands and things to do.

      I recommend a martingale collar or halter lead. Not a harness (they are meant for pulling). Commit to a 10 minute training session a day! You can do it!
