    Hi!
    For a 2019 VNL760, do you know what is the voltage? 12 or 24. Also how many Amps does it need, and are the batteries in series or paralel?!

      Hi, A North American Volvo VNL will always be a 12 Volt Electrical system. The batteries are connected in Parallel. Amps are dependent on if you want to jump-start your truck or just let the batteries charge. Higher amps are used when you jump-start the truck and lower amps are used if you just want to charge the batteries.

      @@otrperformance I ment how many Amps does one battery have because I am thinking about building an electrical APU and to save space and weight I want to replace the batteries and add 5 KWH on top of what the truck already has to be able to run 5000 BTU ac for 10 hours straight.

      @@BUCURPOPA any progress on this, let me know if it works

      @@strubies I will probably sell the truck next year so I won't be investing in it.
      I did some research and it is totally doable, if you do the work yourself you are looking at anything between $4000-$6000 CAD for the APU, depending on the battery quality.
      I still don't know the amps of the led battery so I only factored in the 5-6 KWH needed for the AC.

    How long do batteries last?

    • @curtislambert8752
      @curtislambert8752 5 лет назад

      Depends on how cold or hot of climate there used in. Mostly a year or 2.

    On the 2011 Volvo day cab how do you properly put the cover/step so it doesn't slide down and you fall

    Flame near a battery ! Are you Crazy ?Batteries contain Hydrogen gas. You did half the job ! You did not clean the cable terminals on the truck ! Or the box battery box. you can put a rubberized coating to help make the box last longer or use a old rubber mud flap.

    You should wire brush and clean pretty good all cables connectors too. Apply some battery sealant for terminals to protect corrosion. Battery load test should be performed to see are new batteries charged up. Sometimes you can get low charged batteries from dealer. Check alternator's connectors, belt, and charging conditions.....
