i like this style over the new ones, the differential pressure tube fittings always break on the new style because they switched from steel to what seems like brass. i guess its a way of making some money on there end

Can the flex pipe being clogged effect the ETG readings? I am getting a higher temp and I believe its related to my DPF system in some way. I'm not getting any smoke out of exhaust but I do lose power going uphill with a load and the ETG rises high

Where can I get those clamps for the flex pipe I have a exhaust leak on the front of the flex pipe , I just put a heat sleeve on it but it still leaks
I did this job before I watched this video very simple job but takes me almost 7 hrs to complete in slow motion and i made some big holes on the filters with special drill bit and used new gaskets and clamps

Great video! I have a D11. Question. Can we plug the lower pressure differential sensor tube and PLUG it, to trick it into doing a regen? I'd also have to say that Volvo should have NEVER placed the after treatment system at ground level. I should ask do they make a Stack doc/dpf with adapter that is CARB compliant? because we work on a farm and It makes for some real great place to start a grass fire. lolz fail on volvo's part. Good video though!! I subbed.
Your can also use heat wrap blankets to keep heat away from the grass and inside the DPF system
What size socket do you need when removing the clamps for the flex pipes?

But I'm the one that always gets the truck that has the nox sensor come out with damaging the threads. As for the doser valve, even after letting the bolts soak in penetrating oil days before I start the job, those bolts still snap off. Then it becomes exercise of patience and pulling out the proper drill tap set and hoping a drills don't break off as you're removing the old broken bolts. Great step by step video though.

When is necesary to replace or cleane the DPF filter at Volvo VNL ?
Or what are the signs of bad filter?
4,500 engine hours is when the filter is recommended to be cleaned.
And a sign of a bad filter is if soot is bypassing the filter and just rolling coal like a pre-emissions diesel. You can easily tell by just looking at the exhaust stack to see if it’s covered in soot. And a sign of a clogged filter is if the DPF differential pressure is above 1.00 psi during a regen. I’ve seen them reach 5.00 psi just at idle which means there is about to be a catastrophic failure. Another way to tell is if the soot level constantly rises during or after a regen.
If the filter are really clogged and dirty would that cause it to park regen a lot
You can have a Stuck open EGR, faulty DPF pressure sensor, clogged doc/dpf filter, 7th injector... These all can cause an issue where parked regen is required. So a lot of different scenarios that can cause this condition. If the parked regen is coming back after you performed one then it probably did not complete a successful parked regen. A forced regen may help you!

What about the software? Reprogram the ECU?
Check that flex pipe first, unless you're overdue for scheduled maintenance, it might be clogged from cheap def/fuel
Mine is clogged now why does that happen exactly?
@rome6872 coulD bE a few different things causing it, I wouLd guEss it's noT gEtting hot enough and or has an air leak usually around the clamp allowing air in, combIned with cold weaTher doesn't help any.
So glad I'm getting a delete for my dpf soon

The filters were plugged up will see how it does thiers was no check engine lights on

Bake and eash dpf filter 2 times put new scr, put new nox sensor and yet fill to 2/3 after 1000 miles.
