Reasons why the POLE hedge trimmer is superior

- I have been trimming bushes for a couple decades now and have come to the clear conclusion that a short pole hedge trimmer is far superior to a “chainsaw” style hedge trimmer. The pole is safer, more ergonomic, and more versatile than the hand held trimmer.
Honestly, I would whole heartedly disagree. You have far more precision using the chainsaw type.
I have the biggest echo single side sweeper, it’s got a completely different handle style HCS3810, hold it close, and hold it at full reach. HCR185, has the handles in the same positioning as yours, again, superior on control. I also use the PAS system with short and long hedge cutters. The short is ok and my go to after the HCR and HCS. It is heavy and very easy to mess up your straight line.
As soon as you introduce cutting at speed, it’ll be an absolute mess with the long reach cutters.
Thank you. Saved me from buy a chainsaw style trimmer. Go straight to pole hedger.
Same way only use pole hedger done it 20 years now got 220 guys doing it loo
The short trimmer is way better the pole trimmer is for longer reach if you don’t know now you know . Only lazy people don’t use the shorter one
No its not. The longer one can do everything the shorter one can do in the same amount of time.
This guy doesn't do commercial trimming 😂 longer trimmer is way better and can do way more trimming variations. @dannydee9919
Hi, What are the best gasoline powered pole hedge trimmers? Thank you
Pole looks safe, and that's most important
I've been watching your videos to learn some techniques. You really do a great job. Is that a Husqvarna trimmer??
I've always preferred the pole pruner to the " chainsaw" style pruner myself as well!
What’s even more superior is a battery hedger.
Recommendations on some good pole trimmers? Quality and price friendly?
Another crooked job
The shindaiwa ht235 trimmer I use isn’t really that heavy. The blade length is also significantly longer than a pole trimmer so its more efficient. I also find the double sided trimmers leave too much debris on top of the hedge. Just my opinion though.
Which model on pole
sure. let me see you trim some dwarf youpon hollies that are shaped into circles like most of them with that long trimmer
the chainsaw style gets heavy! and can turn around and bite you, my old boss had some nice triangle scars on his forearm.
I’m trying to decide between the 59” shaft version vs the 33” shaft
What do you call the longer one my friend
You can probably put, pole hedge trimmer and you’ll get a bunch
I agree. However, I use “chainsaw style” trimmers with external battery pack when cutting hedge and trimming bush/shrub. All the weight is in the back, and none in the arms. I recommend Pellenc, they are high quality and high price, but the serviceability is great and you can’t find a lighter trimmer.
@ThatLawnDude what shears are those and what weed eater do you use, also what pole hedge trimmer do you use? I'm in hs and I started my business and I'm trying to grow it.
The hand one is Echo, the pole one is a Husqvarna
How's the business going?
I love using the pole pruner I swing it like I do the line trimmer I swing it around almost like an extension of my arm!

I don’t mind using the short one but my hand being close to the blades is pretty weird
What pole trimmer is that?
Gardner's sum will be found
Husqvarna multi tool
Who mulches like that?

Genius. Thank you.
Wonderful. Please send all the information relevant to gardening
The first thing that broke was the hand grip, so much for balance . the second thing the machine is that heavy you do not have to worry about the balance because you don not use it
Absolutely not! Pole trimmers are for tall bushes or anything above your shoulders only. Hedge trimming both can do it.
Absolutely wrong.. I've been using my pole saw for all my shrub work for the past 12yrs.. I only use a handheld for a few small percentage of stuff I do
Lol smoke some more crack
You do great work bro. Where do you do all this at?
