  • I decided to do a video of us candling the chicken eggs.Sorry that the video is a little blurry sometimes. I thought it was in focus but it was hard to see on the Gopro screen. It didn't really help that I was getting very close and plus it was dark.

Shalom! How exciting to see the babies in the shell of the egg; growing and ready to come into this world. Thank you for sharing blessings to you and yours, from Norco, California.

Good deal. It's really not hard. You shouldn't have any problems but if you do have any questions then feel free to ask. Good luck.

Thank you for the information. I am looking for a new machine I have heard good things. Any tips? If you have already made another video giving your opinion, I will come across it one day. I am not great on a computer. If you have time though, how accurate do these two machines compare on the heating elements. Did you have a separate thermometer? I have a cold house and wonder if the room temperature affects the machines readings. Any hints would be appreciated. You have a blessed day.

My house stays on a 68* degree constant year around. I never used any extra thermometers because these machines were so dependable for me. I ended up having around a 96-98% hatch rate with good eggs.

We have 9 days left until hatching is it too late to check the eggs with the light? This is our 1st time and I didn’t know when to do it or not to do it

You'll be fine if you do it now. Just try to do it quickly. Just do not mess with them for the last 3-4 days.
