Milk Money Mini Farm

We are just a small farm that has just gotten started. Almost everything we have on the farm are small creatures. As of now, we have Pigmy goats, Pigeons, Bantams, a few yard birds, 3 dogs and 1 cat and you never know what else might turn up on the farm. We hope to take you along on our adventure as we grow the farm. Maybe we can teach you a few things and learn a few new things ourselves. Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoy.

I decided to make a Sputnik pigeon trap and customize it for a giveaway. If you want to enter the drawing for the giveaway, all you have to do is comment " I want it ". I will take all of the " I want it " comments and do a drawing on 07-18-24. Also the winner of the drawing can have one end of the trap laser engraved with their logo, loft name or family name. Great video. Not to be over critical here but around the 5 min mark you refer to the calipers as a micrometer. In my opinion, Though they both perform similar precision measurements, they are fundamentally different tools.
I'm sure I probably did without even thinking about it. My mind goes sideways sometimes...lol.

So my maticoopx is beeping non stop. Is there any reset or fix to this?
They will usually reset if you unplug them for 2 minutes and then plug them back in. Are all of your settings good ( temperature and humidity)? They usually only beep to let you know something is wrong.
@@milkmoneyminifarm not too sure, nothing was wrong it just started beeping out of no where. I left it unplugged for a whole day and it’s still beeping, maybe it’s gone bad.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I spent two weeks in ICU back in January of this year. I ended up getting a respiratory infection in my lungs caused from my birds so I had to give all of them away. So I'm sorry but I don't have anymore birds to make videos with. I can still answer any questions that you might have and I'll be glad to help any way I can.

Hello again, I am on my 3 day lockdown, poured water per manual, opened the vent all the way, my humidity is 74-75%. It too high, or still okay? If it’s too high how can I lower it? Thank you 😊
You are fine. Just sit back now and listen for the chirps. They should be popping out very soon. Just remember to wait to get those first few out. Give the others time to hatch too. If you open it and change the humidity too much, you could cause the others to shrink wrap and they will not be able to hatch.

Have you done a separate temputre check on it ? I'm worried it will have a hotter heat in the center vs the outer part.
I have never checked it but I have incubated A LOT of eggs with a mid 90's success rate.
How manny days do I wait till I incubate eBay eggs etc
Leave them on the counter at your house for 24 hours to normalize to room temperature then put them in the incubator.

Do you have to wash the eggs before you put them in the incubator?
No. Just gently scrape off any poop ( if there is any ) and put them in the incubator.
Hello, I am sorry if I missed it somewhere but how do I check if the eggs are fertile? Thanks in advance
After 7 days, You can check the eggs with the candle light on the top of the incubator. You can turn it on and off using the minus ( - ) symbol on top. I have a couple of other videos showing me doing it.

When it is your first time using and setting up this type of incubator is there a certain time to wait before you put the eggs into the incubator or do you just put the eggs in as soon as you plug it in?? Mine says it recommends to set it up and wait about 4 hours for the incubator to run and then after to set my eggs into it
The manufacturer recommends to wait for a couple of hours after turning it on before putting eggs in it.

Where the light button
I'm sorry. I somehow missed this comment until now. If you are still wanting to know about the light, you turn it on and off by just pushing the minus symbol ( - ) once for on and once again to turn it off. It will go off by itself after a couple of minutes so you'll have to turn it back on if you want to use it longer.
But it's shooting up to my ceiling not the eggs.
@@vonniegreen5156 You have to put the eggs over the light. Set one egg at a time over the light. There is a hole that the egg sits in. It will light the egg up.
After 50years I no how you feel I have no pigeons ill health problems all gone
Ive notice over the years ive been incubating i collect the eggs to incubate while i got the incubator filled up and waiting. the hens keep laying and they wait sometimes 2-4 weeks to even go broody and they still hatch so i think u can store and incubate eggs that are 2-3 weeks old

My husband raced pigeons for 25 years he onley 47 years old 2o21 he stared for first time having breathing problems a month later he was rush in to hospital it nearly killed him he now suffers from pigeon lung and lung disease he can't go up stairs with out the stairs lift he had to get rid of all the birds you done the right thing your health comes first he misses his birds but he alive God bless to you keep going you be ok we live in England UK take care

i am so sorry to hear this. Pigeon Fanciers lung, and the such... once sensitized you are very vulnerable. This is why i always tell people to wear a respirator, especially when cleaning their loft. i will warn everyone that , sadly, covid will make you more vulnerable- so if you have had covid you need to be even more careful.
