  • I used to race Pigeons but that was many years ago. I have recently bought a new place to where I can have birds again so I decided to start back racing. Come follow along on this new adventure and I’ll try and show you all that I know ( shouldn’t take long…lol ) so that maybe you might get the itch and want to start racing yourself. I hope that I can help a little but if I don’t know the answer then I’m pretty sure I can find someone that does know. I hope you have fun and enjoy.

i got a few young homers, that never flew, about 3 months ago.. how long would you keep them in the loft before you leave them out to fly?

I would wait at least 2-3 weeks. I have some white youngsters that I've had for about a week and a half. I'll be flying them in a couple of more weeks. Just make sure that you take your time. Let them fly on their own. Don't rush them. And most importantly make sure that they are trap trained. If they aren't sure about the trap then they will not use it.
