I'm just curious as to why you worry about getting cash. I retired to Brazil but continue to use my US cards and bank account. Very few people here carry cash and nobody has change for whatever bank note. Everyone here uses cards for even small purchases. Another great option is PIX which is an immefiate electronic bank transfer. That one requires a local account however. But visa is world wide.
Also, when you get back to Brazil look for the phone carrier TIM. They are the best at understanding how to use a passport number since you don't have a Brazilian tax number. I'm happy to give you any other ideas on surviving Brazil.

Your videos from both the Brazil and Argentina side of the falls are better than any TV documentary. We feel like we are there with you!
ABsolutely stunning from both sides but I have to say those people that built all those walk ways did an incredible job great video guys stay safe!
They build it during the dry season, but still a great job.
I was thinking the same - the walkways are as stunning as the falls!
I went under the falls on the Brazil side...which was better. It was sooo much fun. While under the falls its hard to breath normal becauae of all the water coming down. I panicked the first time and put my head down on the side of the raft. The boat operaters thought I was trying to abandon ship and grabbed me lol.
I want to go back to visit the bird park on the Brazil side.
Because every once in a while a turist jumps with no return. Last week a Canadian guy did it

The Iguaçu falls should be a symbol of the wonders that Brasil and Argentina could do together (Rivals only at sports).

I had never heard of these water falls until last week when you took us on the Brazilian side. This side looked like a full blown blast. The music was perfect. I'm only standing here because of you, and we will never be this young again...both perfectly placed. Thank you.

That boat ride was amazing. Snow laughing and Curt hiding behind. Laughed along with Snow🛥️⛴️
Some years back a few politicians and technician$$$ wanted to build a super hydro power in that place, but the brazilians did not allow it to happen.
Anyway, long story, but not far from there is the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam, which is pretty much the result of doing just that to a waterfall that used to exist in that place, called Sete Quedas (Seven Falls). It was the largest Hydro in the world for several years, until it was surpassed by one in China.
The project dammed the Paraná River, creating the Itaipu Lake and submerging the falls, which can no longer be seen. The River now flows through it. SO we can visit Iguazu Falls and no worries about it being "destroyed" !!

I am Brazilian and have never been to the Iguaçu Falls, but it´s top on my list of places to go. Just can´t wait to see it.
Soy de Argentina y viajé 1500 km en 2017 para ir a las cataratas, es espectacular, fui de los 2 lados, también muy lindo el parque de las aves en foz de iguazú.

These waterfalls are so massive! Going to Iguazu Falls was a dream coming true e it was so awesome! It's really impressive and for me it was also magical. If you think of coming to South America, plan to go this place. There is an airport in Brazil super close to the falls in the Brazilian side (Foz do Iguaçu - IGU). And if you go to Argentina, maybe it would be better to exchange your money in Foz do Iguaçu, the Brazilian city. You can also book a tour at Itaipu hydroelectric power plant. It's one of the biggest in the world.

My husband and I are flying to Puerto Madryn, Argentina in two days (to embark on a ship to the Southern Ocean) and I'm going prepared to get the Blue exchange rate. I enjoy watching your adventures - our Sprinter camper and two cats are not as adventurous.
I went to both the Brazil and Argentinian sides in January of 2020, just before the world entered the pandemic. It truly is an amazing place to visit as those waterfalls leave one in awe. It was raining when we went on our boat ride. I think that is the only way to go because you are going to get wet for sure! I had to chuckle in your last episodes/videos about the boarder crossing as we sailed through it several times and even in and out of Paraguay. I thought it would be a breeze for you. Obviously it’s a different story traveling with pets in your own vehicle. Anyway, I think you were able to to capture how stunning the falls are on both sides. Looking forward to your Argentina travels. Mendoza has great wine! Cheers!

I visited the Falls many years ago and they didn´t have this infrastructure of getting to these amazing places close to the devil´s mouth....so it was perhaps in the 1980´s......still the place is magic.....

Snow's giggles were contagious on that boat ride. Sounded like a kid in their first swimming pool. Again this site is just breathtaking. I must say that your step by step walk through displays it even better than the commercial photography videos do. Their actual photography is better, but with your commentary as someone seeing it all for the first time makes it seem much more exciting.. (After Brazil side, I had a look at the National Geographic vid as well as one from PBS). Kudos. Well done.

Beautiful video. If you guys are going all the way down to Tierra del Fuego Ushuaia I think you would enjoy sailing around the glaciers and ice trekking. There are agencies which offer awesome day trip. You guys seam adventurous 🙂. Iguazu Falls & ice trekking is on my top ten things I’ve experienced in my life
