Thank You so much. I know I can do it now. I sometimes lack the patience. Your video explanation was EXCELLENT!!
I know it’s been a LONG time since you posted this but it just shows it’s still useful. But let me mention you don’t have to splice and wire nut connections. The socket which the bulb mounts slides out then pull the wires real hard out and slide new wires in, the connector will grab hold of the wire. I just did mine and didn’t splice or twist a single wire.
Aloha, that was a nice touch with the wife. Good job!
+jusride7 Thanks!!
omg. I was literally helping my dad change a fluorescent bulb yesterday and this showed up in my suggestions today. The only videos I watch are craft videos.
Did you have T8 lamps in the fixture with the old T12 ballast running them before you changed it?

Is there residual power in there?
2-25-17 My colors are different, so I'm scared. Off & on 4 days of trouble shooting, balast testing & bulb buying.Change both bulbs..Never knew that until I watch'd the video's...do that 1st!
Just match colors to colors....?
Anita Lenore lol " I'm scared"
You probably bought a ballast with a different starting mode than the previous one.
The Dark side of a Room...
Ha ha ha
Be very careful; you must not splice the hot and neutral(white and black) until all other splices are complete. If you had mad a mistake with your Identification or or possible back feeding neutral, you can fry yourself.
so it doesn't matter which blue lead out of the ballast you connect to the two red wires and which blue lead you connect to the two blue wires?
I replaced my ballast and now every time I switch the light ON, my TV signal becomes very scrambled..goes away once I turn the ligh switch OFF.
