First of all can I just say how much I love your channel and I wish it every success, you thoroughly deserve it Erica, you're so knowledgeable and a great presenter, you have a lovely voice and soft American accent that is a pleasure to listen to and your content is always excellent. I invested in a princess style wool coat from Jigsaw in the UK back in 2005 and I still wear it and it looks amazing. It's taupe, another great classic colour, not too light and not too dark. It goes with everything and I like taupe much more than camel or beige. I love browns, also chocolate brown (not coffee bean brown, which is too dark and quite harsh). I'd love a navy or blue coat and although I don't need it, I'm on the look-out for one, I also love dusty pink, which in an underrated neutral and a very flattering and feminine one imo, I recently saw a lady wearing a dusty pink trench coat and she looked amazing. Like taupe, dusty pink goes well with any neutral colour.

Thank you so much! Taupe is another great capsule color and dusty pink too.

For me its a matter of how you interpret the basics. My trench coat is a brown leather suede. My white shirt is a tuxedo shirt. I have ruffles as well as one with pleats. As well as different colors. The fabric can also make it feel different. If a shirt is in silk, satin or velvet for example...Blazers or moto jackets in velvet or brocade. Its all about the cut, the fabric and the color...patterns are also particular to a style, but not exclusive. Romantics love florals and pastels, bohemians like paisley and abstract patterns. Classics prefer stripes and polka dots.
