I am curious, whats wrong with pleats? What if the skirt was flat on the front but pleating started at the sides and back of skirt? Would it work then?
Nothing is wrong with pleats if you want to add the appearance of more width or curves to an area. Pleats are extra fabric and wherever there is extra fabric it will create more bulk in that area. For someone narrow in the hips like an inverted triangle or rectangle shape, pleats work really well. Hope that helps!
@EricaBallStyle but for a hourglass shape it wouldn't have the desired effect if the pleats start at the waistband and go all around? (I love pleated skirts and I have a ⏳️ shape so I just wanna make things work 😅)

I think it is a fundamentally wrong to define someone’s style. The purpose and an occasion dictates style. If a woman works in a law office, she wouldn’t be dressed in boho clothes at work. But she might be using boho while on holiday.
