I have an idea that the Cannonball purists might not be interested in, but it would be interesting. Has anyone ever attempted the C2C route in an electric vehicle? Obviously it would not be for a speed record, but to see how fast an electric car could make the crossing without any breaks, except for charging, would be interesting. It would be a test of strategy, choosing the best vehicle for the attempt - sedan or crossover SUV? Can you install an auxiliary power pack like an extra fuel tank in a petrol car? Would putting a solar panel on the roof help extend range? Do you make the attempt in the Summer, or Spring or Fall to avoid having to use the air conditioning or heat that would use extra power? Figuring out where to charge (can you find a super charging station in the middle of Kansas?). Maybe you wouldn't need three drivers, since you'd have to stop for at least a couple of hours every 300 or so miles. Also means you could take civilized food and bathroom breaks, and both could sleep at the same time some of the time. It would probably take at least double the time of a gas-powered Cannonball run. Just a thought.

The whole thing was crazy the entire angles and no blood to be found nothing but me and my buddy know I hit it cause it made a good thud at 140+. We popped hood and saw one little feather sticking out so we looking around for this bird still for a moment and we both realize no way yep.. large robin fit through 1/4” gap in hood and hid under my damn pad on purpose clearly cause no blood anywhere… never did figure that out and the robin was a real party pooper he wouldn’t stop hiding even though we clearly found him.
