Chicken has been a staple in our household because it's convenient, low in calories and so versatile. But we also eat a lot of red meat as well, and I'm so glad to hear good things about it after so many years of getting a bad rap.

Since I started on the carnivore diet three years ago I've found that I don't feel as good after easting the meats from monogastric animals like chicken or pork. I tend to feel much better after eating meat from ruminants like beef, venison or bison. I've heard many different reasons this might be so, I just know how I feel.

You’re sort of right. It depends on what the chicken or the cow is eating. Green fed. Animals tend to be more carcinogenic because a green base diet is inflammatory. Grass fed beef, lamb, or goat have minimal health risks if you eat them every now and then.
Also, chicken is not necessarily bad. It just depends on where it comes from and what it has been eating.

Cook your chicken with Sous Vide. I cook my chicken breast to 145f with Sous Vide and I love it. Sometimes I'll even just go to 140f. 165f chicken breast is way overcooked, blech! Combine enough time with 145f and you've effectively pasteurized the chicken. I've also cooked my Turkey breast to 145f as well. As long as you maintain 145f for over 10 minutes you've done the same job as 165f for 1 second. I'll even add an extra 30 minutes just because. Look it up how to Sous vide.

In dealing with Histamine Intolerance, not allowed pork or shrimp or canned fish, can't source non-aged beef unless I buy a whole cow, and buying frozen salmon & lamb are so expensive I only eat each once per week just to have variety of nutrition & to avoid hating chicken! I save eggs for lunches. Every other dinner is chicken. Getting creative with making sauces to help lubricate it and change up the flavours.... but still... sooo muuuuch chicken! bah!

So if you roast a chicken you can tear the meat from the left over carcass or bones, put it in a snap lock bag in serving sizes or for a casserole or sandwiches & freeze it. Let it thaw in the refrigerator and voila. Completely safe if eaten that day. 👍

why would you limit eggs and red meat if your body is making more cholesterol? they are highly nutritious foods, many very very old people have eaten that all their lives, as has my mother in her 90s no heart disease.... what you eat has no bearing on cholesterol as its made by your liver. I think that's more political than health advice. olive oil is 14 percent saturated fat. nuts have more fat than a lean steak. If you are menopausal, that's the cause. take HRT? your cholesterol makes hormones when you stop making hormones it's natural for your cholesterol to go up - doesn't relate to heart disease though. what's your inflammatory markers and blood sugar and triglycerides. high cholesterol on its own is not a medical condition. I don't have heart disease have had higher cholesterol for 20 years. Take a statin if you need to. I dont' know, just some ideas, not judging or assuming I know it all. "Research has found that dietary cholesterol is not associated with an increased risk of heart disease. A lot of research has been conducted on eggs specifically. Eggs are a significant source of dietary cholesterol, but studies have shown that eating them is not associated with an elevated risk of heart disease." Healthline.

Due to IBS and hemorrhoids I wasn't much into red meat the past four years. However, I decided to swap to lean cuts of beef over chicken and turkey, I always preferred turkey over chicken too, because due to medications my thyroid got messed up and that has led to me having hypothyroidism and a drop in ferritin. Although Istill take an iron supplement, I am going to finish the rest of the bottle and not get another. I still won't get back to dairy, it's a bit complicated I don't know whether I am lactose intolerant or it's the A1 casein that cause me to bloat. I must admit that I've always felt better with full fat dairy, 5% fat Greek yogurt for example. Whenever I had 2% fat cottage cheese or Greek yogurt, I would get issues. I can't say much on kefir, cow's milk kefir in Greece is 1,5% fat. I feel I get adequate amounts of omega 3 in my nutrition via lean ground beef, I swapped from pollock to salmon, eggs, nuts and seeds. Sincere apologies for the wall of text Mama Autumn. Thank you very much for the video.

Learning balance(aka moderation) is a skill which must be learned; humanity seems to struggle with this in all areas of life. As far as chicken, I usually only buy thighs because they have the most fat, but again, I believe, rotating a variety is key to enjoying your food, BUT also being able to continue on in learning a new way of eating. Even though I have given up grains in general, a couple of times a week I will have a one of the least offensive grain products, and so I don’t feel deprived, but it is not frequent enough to mess up my gut health which affects every other part of my body. Every person’s chemistry is different and if you have ANY kind of health issues, you might start with what you are eating. I will say that universally what I have learned on my journey to feeling better is that: sugar, grains and seed oils of any kind are the greatest culprits to poor health when it comes to food. I think a person, however, has to reach a point where they want to feel well instead of be miserable before they are willing to make any real changes, and that is different for each of us.

Not arguing that meat is packed with protein and your primary goal is to help people to reach a better body composition. But: What's your view on a diet that consists of primary meat and dairy as protein is generating more carbon dioxide? What about growthormones in dairy - it is after all milkproducts intended to make an animalchild grow. New studies also supports that a vegetarian diet is to be preferred if you're an athlete. It tends to decrease the time needed for muscles to recover after practice. Vegetarian protein is also easier for some people to digests resulting in less symptoms of gastritis.
Again, these are genuine questions and not meant to question your advice about protein sources.

You should eat everything in moderation and combine foods with different nutrients. Plus, red meat contains high quantity of cholesterol which is not healthy. You can’t simply state positive facts about a particular type of food. Instead, you should be fair and state the full facts, negative and positive, the pros and cons.

Here 🇦🇺🦘we can get chicken that is certified organic ie: no growth hormones, no added chemicals.
We can get chickens that are approved by the RSPCA, which is a group that ensure the chickens are farmed, raised and processed humanely and without cruelty.
Beef here which you’d imagine is plentiful is the same as lamb here. Ridiculously expensive.
