Thanks so much for this video. I bought this exact same PC from Best Buy about 1 1/2 years ago, just when the GPU shortage was beginning to recover. I am definitely NOT a gamer. I wanted a PC that could handle heavy-load video editing reasonably fast, as well as a PC that had the best options for 4K UHD HDR displaying and rendering. After purchasing, and returning the very same day, 3 other pc from Best Buy (the salespeople either lied or had no idea what I was looking for in a PC), I researched onlinecompulsively for about 6 months. When I saw this PC at Best Buy (about $1100 at the time), it pretty much had everything I was looking for. I immediately upgraded to 32 GB of RAM. Because of the motherboard, it is impossible to get the full speed out of the RAM, but it is negligeable. All of my video editing runs smoothly, even the most complex video editing renders in good time. It's hard to find any GPUs that have multiple HDMI ports (this PC has only one) for multiple displays, but I use a Displayport to HDMI adapter and, problem solved. As far as the audio is concerned, I use an external USB DAC to a headphone amp, or to my integrated stereo amp, and the sound is immensely improved! I had no idea that an external DAC could make such a magnificent improvement in sound quality. Having said all that, I needed a laptop and about a year ago (October 2021), I bought the Lenovo laptop version of this PC. Another excellent choice. I subscribed to this channel because I was very impressed by how so many of the questions were personally answered. Great job. Thanks for this great channel!

I own this EXCEPT I got a great deal during prime day and mines got an i7 11700f and a 3060 w 32 gb of ram! I'm very new to PCs but have been doing some research and consulted with some of my boys that are into PCs and know their stuff. They advised me that it would be a good PC to buy and I've been very happy with it since I got it. It also has a fan or cooling system towards the middle of the case but more toward the back than ACTUAL middle. I spent $1100 was originally like $1600 without prime account and prime day discounts (not including monitor and peripherals but just for the PC itself) my boys said the same thing you said and that Lenovo had done great with thinking out this pre-built. So glad I went with this instead of something else a friend recommended after seeing all the positive reviews of it even if it isn't my version. I've also heard nothing but good things about the case aswell.

May not be the best or most up to date graphics card but will do everything I need it to do, and as you said, everything can be upgraded. Also the SSD is 512gb, and the hard drive is WD blue instead of a Seagate, which I've seen in the units from Best Buy. I hate Seagate with a fiery passion, as every drive I have owned (3 if memory serves, they came in wiped reman'd machines) has failed in the warranty period, and each was replaced with a "renewed" drive that also failed. If you act fast you can scoop up 2 more of the identical ram chips for 70-80 bucks new on fleabay, which I just did for future proofing and video editing.

Got the model with the Nvidia GTX 3060 from Micro Center for just over $800. They are gone now. Ran Spider-Man Remastered on ultra settings and ray tracing effects. Everything runs smooth as glass no matter what games I play on max settings.
The cooling fans are better than the MSI I was considering for $200 more with slightly better hardware but doesn’t cool down anywhere near this desktop in comparison.

I have the AMD version (Ryzen 5 3600) of this tower (Legion T5 26AMR5) and experienced the same thing when installing a Noctua cooler (NH-U12S chromax.Black) - I had to remove the proprietary backplate with a hairdryer and very patient, gradual pressure from plastic prybars - a Reddit user who came before me with the same model tower reported breaking their motherboard removing it. Also of note: I had to use the Intel mounting hardware to get the Noctua mounted and had to add adhesive foam on the backplate to allow the Noctua backplate to apply proper pressure contact on the back of the motherboard. Kind of a pain. If I had purchased the less expensive AMD only version of the NH-U12S I would not have been able to install it. My one other negative on this tower is the low quality thermal management on the 1660 Super - it is 1 step up from what dell did (see Gamers Nexus video on that near-identical 1660 super: ruclips.net/video/HFaJZq13tr8/видео.html) - he mentions GDDR chips at the corner are covered by solid heatsink (without contact) and gets no airflow, Lenovo's 1660 Super *does* have a thermal pad bridging at least 1 GDDR chip to the HSF (the one most occluded) I am typing this using the computer in question and tried to inspect the other corner chip with a flashlight and dental mirror, but can't be absolutely sure. I can tell that there are several GDDR chips I can see without thermal pads (the ones that do have some airflow through the HSF fins).
Overall, given I got it on eBay for just under ~$500 shipped, I am still quite happy with it. Mostly putting out this information to help others who might be looking at this tower so they know what the issues are.

I got 16gb of ram that I installed after making sure the pc boots up. Thanks for the content it helped me decide!
      *edit to add*
Forgot to mention I purchased the ram based on your suggestions in the description so extra thanks for taking the time for doing that! Really appreciate you listing what's compatible with the system and where to get it.

Do you have to do anything at all to install a game using hdd if you've used all your ssd space? is there some switching to hdd process?

    • @TNW1337
      @TNW1337  2 года назад +1

Well if you have the HDD or SSD, installed it depending on the program, but yes you will need to add a directory or file on the new drive. Then point like Steam or Epic at it. Like steam will allow you to have many drives with areas you can save games to. others not so much. Only allows one drive to be pointed at.
if it was old school you have a DVD Rom or CD Rom for the install media you would be able to just point it at the different location, at the begin of the install.
But because most stuff is Cloud based Now, like steam and other, you need to point that program/game at the new drive or file you want it to save to. (this file would be on the new disk)
What I would do is look up the program that is ruining the game or software, like origin Then go on youtube and type, how do I change where my games are saved or how to change where my game driectory is save for (Software Name). and you should find a video of some one walking you through it. Steam, Origin Epic Game, UB Soft, Blizzard, Activison & others are like this.
      Hope this helps. 👍😁

Also a FYI most but not all saved games are in users data, Just to be safe I would look it up on how to back up saved games. if it applies to you this mostly only applies to single player games.

They are captive screws, some times the threads get buggered up. take a vice grips or a adjustable pliers and lock on and pull and twist to the left. If I was you, I would look on amazon for some PC case thumb screws and replace it. hopefully a new one will fix the threads. if not you may need to RMA it to lenovo.

Hi, i may bought one (Intel Core i5-11400F, 3060 rtx) is it also a good one ? And i saw people complaining about nvidia drivers, the update on the lenovo site wich seems to work but are little out of date can allow to play some ‘’late game’’, the pc here is almost the same can you tell me your experience with this one ? I’m a bit frustrated for that… thank you.

@@TNW1337 Hi, thank you for the answer, so with windows 10, you had any issues with the nvidia drivers ? I also think that W11 will not give me a hard time with the steam's games, i don't play vr games so it may not concern me, so i'll maybe stay with this version but if i want to downgrade to W10 will i need to put something on a usb key or i just don’t care like it's a new pc and i don't have anything to save ? Sorry to bother you with that and thank you for taking the time to answer me :/.

    • @TNW1337

Its do to cost. And what card will fit. They budget the psu so it can support the cards. People see what Nvidia or amd says should be used and it is a suggestion for the avrage consumers.
Now I do wish they put like a 700watt in because that would support the top end gpus. Even if they do not fit size wise.

Just bought this with an i5 11500 and 1660 super with 16 gb of ram, Costco was running a deal for just $850 and I wanted my first real gaming computer that had the potential/ability to upgrade once parts got cheaper, the rig is great for 1080 gaming, gets a little less optimal for 1440p gaming but can do it with medium graphics on most games at about 40-60 FPS consistently
