(Not hating)
The teenager did hesitate when the officers told him to get up and turn around, and he seemed to straighten up *after* he was in cuffs. Not to mention how scared he sounded right after he was cuffed. To me, he seemed at least a little guilty of something, and he was well aware of it. Beyond that, his mother and her boyfriend seemed pretty calm, so although this could be explained away in favor of your view, it should still be noted as possibly opposing it.
Dan
As I said, it could favor either view. But there may have also been some body language mixed in that we couldn't see, so it's partly a guessing game in that sense. But hey, I'm glad to see some more proof that not all folks strive for an argument online.

"Have a better night." I've never heard that one. I like it.
That's one of the things you're supposed to say in a situation like that. Saying "Have a good night" could escalate the situation
@Wafi Hartono Because telling someone to have a good day after you've just gave them a ticket or something can make them kinda mad. At that point, the situation is over and there's no need to start something again
Pasta Da Rasta that doesn’t really make sense lmao

Officer called it; a ginormous 13-year-old.

I was that big at that age. Yeah, he might be supr young but he's adult sized, understandable that a small woman could lose control
This is the first police officer I've seen wearing glasses
My uncle is a Trooper but wears contacts on the job. I figure it's inconvenient to have glasses on while wrestling a suspect on the floor lol
Krispy57 It is. I was watching this with my uncle who is in law enforcement. He was like “He must have to buy new glasses often. I broke two frames in the first two months as an officer.”

Sometimes it makes me wonder what goes on in the house to make a kid act like that tho. I highly doubt parents are golden angels.
Wes LaFever exactly. Well some kids might be evil but I'm pretty sure alot of parents don't handle most kids well and really make them extremely mad for no reason.
The kid is most likely spoiled and selfish, he probably believes everything must go his way or he has the right to make it go his way.... no matter what. I used to be like that, he most likely has depression.
mayby, even if he is spoiled thats not all his falt and if the people around him tried to help him with his problems then he wouldn't feel the need to act up and his parents would not feel the need to spoil him if that is the case, plus we are only seeing a few minutes of of his life.
Regardless, kids should respect their Parents.
Guaranteed that if his parents would have payed more attention and used the belt on him more often then they wouldn’t have a child like that.

Michael De Leon 😂 that gave me a good laugh!
Sooo relatable! Lol! Though it was a bluff from my mom because she never really would hurt us. She would just take away privileges like our toys, videos games, etc. That’s where it really hurts! Plus she would also say that since she paid for all of our stuff, its belongs to her and she can do as she sees fit (which is true). She only ever smacked our butts when we really became devilspawns! I truly appreciate her discipline though, it was necessary.

Fawxx1O7 ™ it can put you on that path though. Safe to say if you go to jdc you're gonna go to real jail later on.
Fawxx1O7 ™ yes it does. I got arrested for graffiti when I was 16. When I tried to get a government job they told me because of my past I couldn't work for them. Stop acting like you know everything..
I got arrested more than 10 times from the time I was 8 to around 15. Went in and out of group homes. Visited a few mental hospitals. Now as an adult I have a good job and a kid. Doing much better than any of the people I grew up with. Just because you were arrested as a kid doesnt mean you cannot be something. Anybody who thinks thats the case is stuck in the wrong mentality.

Poor kid has no guidance. It was nice of that cop to do this but going forward, there's a better reason why this kid acted out and even he doesn't understand it. I hope the kid finds something guidance because at that age it matters the most.
Christopher Borelli you said it the best!!!!!!
Youre right .
He was also givin a hint to the mom to do a better job by saying "you should be listening to whatever rules your mom starts implamenting".
You can lead a horse to water.
You don't know what his step-dad's role is. You don't how what their family life is like. His step-dad could be the perfect role model, and may very well constantly try to connect with this kid. The kid could be the problem.
@@Blueshirt38 Maybe you're right.
My only question is why would this child lash out?! There has to be a reason why he did. It's more than being bored. There is a story behind this the unfortunate thing is he will probably not get help or anything like that.
steph dcc grand theft auto
the kid is probably depressed and selfish. Since things aren't going his way he is making them go his way... Its hard to see a random dude with your mom and its even worse when you got issues and don't care about consequences. That kid was probably ready to kill the man and throw him in a dumpster.
It's probably because mommy is on her 5th step-dad.

You gotta be a pretty big failure as a parent to call 911 on your unarmed 13 year old kid :P
not really, you cant judge a situation like that, i myself had cops come over because me and my dad were fighting and my mum couldnt control the situation being a small lady. Cops talked to me, (they didnt handcuff me as handcuffing law isnt the same in my country) and went about their business. I learnt from my mistakes, moved on and vowed never do let it repeat. It works sometimes but then again each indivdual is different
@@Anonymous-fb7vy oh...so ALL 13 years are like that? Or is it this one particular 13 year old and his parenting...
Kids a marshmallow. As soon as the law showed up his tail went between his legs.
Cosign.. my momma would have left me a swollen mess lol.
That's not always the case. The kid could've been being a little snot because he's "bored". He probably knows full well, if any adult (male or female) laid a hand on him, he could holler child abuse. He could probably get away with faking yelling it, too. It doesn't take much to rip a shirt. Someone could have just tried to turn him around, as he was impudently walking off, he jerked away and the shirt was torn. He's not getting treated too bad since he immediately crumpled into a sniveling baby and crying for his mommy the minute the police officers spoke sternly to him. Good job, police officers!
Mother and Step-Father didn't look healthy to me, they need an investigation. He's just a kid.
His mom ain't sound healthy either....she needa quit smokin on that dope n spend time with the boy

on weightlifting...
Bona yup. The parents should be enrolling him in activities like that.
Greg Williams why if he dont enjoy it should be up to him i got a 9 year old cousin close to 5 foot 6 but he dont like hurting other people
Boosted Build I think you misread my comment. Of course if he is not interested he doesn’t have to do it. There are a lot of different physical activities that don’t include violence. What I meant to get across in the original comment is that it’s the parents responsibility to take the initiative and enroll him in activities. How is a 13year old suppose to sign up for anything w/o a parent?
Greg Williams if the kid likes it he will tell the parents a lot of school have the kid sign up for it and then just have the parents sign a slip
Boosted Build not trying to sound rude but you sound very young and uneducated. You assume his school offers extracurricular activities when most schools below high school level don’t anymore. Usually those activities are run by entities outside of the school system like parents, etc.
I see what your trying to say, but you can’t rely solely on the school system to provide what is needed/want
Also most of the time a kid that young doesn’t even know what he likes yet. I remember when I was around his age my dad signed me up for football. I was scared shitless and didn’t want to go. But after the first day of practice I was hooked and couldn’t get enough from that point on.

Ryan Sievert is the father cant manage and restrain the child then someone else needs too.
I understand the situation but it seems like the cop didn’t even talk to or listen to the youth or his side of the story which could be terrible if it was a situation of an abusive stepdad or father (or both parents) seemed kinda brisk and out of protocol to not listen to both sides of the story but that’s just me
Lil Mayo i thought the same thing... He had a couple of bruises on his face and his shirt was torn. Unless it was all self inflicted.. But the call was about the 13 yr old attacking the boyfriend? He looked fine to me.
Right... I don’t think he needed the scare tactic, honestly I feel like I’m the only one here thinking that’s just lying on the cops part and manipulative. I think the mom, step dad, cop and son should’ve all been able to explain the situation not just the parents. I don’t know.
And maybe the cop should have offered to get them family counseling or help. Idk
I totally agree. If this was a case where her bf was constantly abusing her son and this time her son retaliated I think the officer did a poor job and made a mistake. He never even asked the CHILD what was going on, just took mom and moms boyfriend’s word for it.
