Hi! Love your channel. I was told that I had a cancer on my jaw by my dentist. He referred me to a dental oncologist next door, however when I went to make an appointment, I was told that three month would be the earliest before I could get an appointment. My wife and I decided to do some on-line research for alternative treatments. I decided to "mega dose" on vitamin C, gradually building up from 4000mg per day to 40,000 mg per day! All without and stomach upset. After the second day the very obvious swelling and festering had reduced significantly. By the forth day there was just a very red lump. By day 7 most of the swelling and redness was gone (at this stage I had to reduce my intake because diarrhoea had started. I gradually eased back on the dose until the problem in the mouth was completely cleared up and I had to pull back to just 6000 mg /day to prevent the runs. I now maintain a dose of 2000mg /day. I haven't had a problem with my jaw since and I am very rarely sick. It works for me!

Yes there’s a lot of different thoughts and believes in this topic. We all can agree on the fact that we need vitamin C. The disagreements is about the amount, where from and how to. I read an article by Dr. d D’adamo who is not only a medical Dr. but also a veterinary.
He tells that humans are told how much we need of different vitamins and minerals on a daily basis is based on what we need to not get ill (just suvive) and not what we need to stay healthy. He also says that on a Zoo the recommendation for primates are several times higher then they want the animals to stay healthy and not just survive. That should be the right way to treat humans as well but it isn’t. Why?

I’ve seen proper studies that showed 5 grams vit c per day reduced the duration of common colds. 8 grams significantly reduced the duration & was tolerated well. Via oral. A key thing when “high dosing,” is to take C in smaller doses throughout the day… I have taken 30,000mg in one day (when sick) with no bowel intolerance, by taking smaller amounts every hour or two. Keep it by my water bottle, and take some every time I get thirsty.

📌 Why does Dr. Sam avoid artificial ascorbic for > 1 week?
📌 RUclips Peak Prosperity Report has a review for vitamin C and the scariants. (Scare / variant). These points of note:
🌞 High dosage is a very effective treatment
🌞 High dosage must be applied asap i.e. as soon as a patient enters the hospital. Late administration is not effective.
🌞 High dosage by oral means isn't effective i.e. urinated out.
🌞 Must be administered by (terminology?) drip feed.
🌞 Quantity unknown but in the grams per day. 8 to 10 odd grams per day?
🛑 It's criminal, even man slaughter criminal, that they only use paliative care only in most Hospitals of the world including NZ .

Hi Sam please consider this. I was given vitamin c tablets as a child and now have an allergic reaction to the artificial vitamin c often used as an acidity regulator particularly in Watties Tomatoes products. My tongue gets such a reaction to the artificial vitamin c that it tastes identical to battery acid (h2So4). Natural lemon juice etc is not a problem but artificial lemon juice ruins the flavor of the salad or food it is poured on for me. I postulate that people can tolerate the wrong chirac form of vitamin c until their body decides it has had too much and responds with an allergic reaction. People may be getting sick from artificial vitamin C and not know what is the cause. It would be wise to not take supplements that could result in this allergy as the vitamin c acidity regulator is used very widely and the food chemists are not going to use expensive vitamin c when the penny counters are rewarded for saving costs.

There are many schools of thought around Vitamin C. Glad you put this together and highlighted some of them. When working with learning difficulty and autistic children many years ago we always tried to get the children to drink natural orange juice about 30 mins before meals. Was informed that this gets Vit C into their bodies and helps their bodies to absorb other vitamins such as iron.

The same applies to all fruit juices- I am Type 2 Diabetic, so have to be careful with fruit consumption and definitely no juices. Also, fructose is not well tolerated by many people- can cause fatty liver. Furthermore, both glucose and Vit C molecules use the Glute 4 transporter to get through the cell walls and into the cells. Hence, they compete for space on the transporter. Probably one reason that people with uncontrolled blood glucose need more Vit C or are susceptible to more illness.

Per 12:54 - 242 days (just short of eight months) having removed entirely: Sugar, Processed Foods, and Seed Oils; Time-Controlled Eating (eating never more than a six-hour window); eating ZERO "fruits" (I do eat trace amounts of chiles, tomatoes, onions, garlic, &c, and I do eat avocados in Mexico); I eat close to zero "other carbs".
I am virtually Carnivore. I have had neither illness, allergies, inflamation, & al. for this entire time. So, either I am receving all of the C-complex I need, or I don't need all that much to begin with based upon, what has been coined, my "Proper Human Diet".
It is amazing that this should work, and at the year mark I will again get my blood work and other physical exams from my hollistic doctor to see the progress.
P.S. I am certain having looked up the typical Mexican flora that I am taking in sufficient amounts of the C-complex in case anyone might like to search for leafy greens, avocados, and chiles. Be well!

Hi. Apparently vit c and glucose ( sugar/carbs) compete to enter the cell....as they are very similar molecularly. So the body needs far less c if eating carnivore. Kind of ironic that we try to get c from vegetables? :-)

@@thomashughes4859 Both glucose and Vit C molecules use the Glute 4 transporter to get through the cell walls and into the cells. Hence, they compete for space on the transporter. Probably one reason that people with uncontrolled blood glucose need more Vit C or are susceptible to more illness.

I recently learned about the chiral counterpart of vitamin C. To be honest, I knew vitamin C was chiral, but for some reason it never did sink in that if vitamin C is made chemically it is a racemic mixture of L- and D-ascorbic acid. I have googled on this chirality issue with respect to ascorbic acid and I was surprised I couldn't really find anything about it. So, to take sufficient chemically produced vitamin C you already have to take twice the amount compared with natural vitamin C to account for the chirality. And I wonder if the D-acid is that safe to consume. I would learn about that.

Several years ago I read about a multi-year long study about vitamin C and multivitamins. They had to cut the study short because the mortality rate among smokers using the supplements was significantly higher. I haven't been able to find the article since, but I remember showing it to a colleague at the time, so there's a witness. Anyone else heard about this?

As a chemist I am curious to know what the "complex" of natural Vit C is. Would it be an ester form with a fatty acid? Is it a metal complex of ascorbic acid? Also, does this only affect absorption or how it works at the cellular level. Appreciate anyone commenting on this.

That's the acerola cherries type which comes as a powder, typically from Brazil but elsewhere also. There are others too, like amla powder. Both contain the ancillary nutrients that would have been called vitamin p decades back.
I think you're asking about the liposomal form too. Its ascorbic acid encapsulated by lecithin - sunflower usually, but not always. The intention with this form is to ensure as much as possible gets through to the gut. Of ascorbic acid it's believed that less than 20% survives the stomach processes. The liposomal form fares much better with possibly more than 80% getting through. I don't know about the rest that you ask.

@@lsmith992 Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this very helpful information. I am familiar with Amla and make its oil (at home) for hair health. Larry King was on ad about 'Ester C' which I guess is an esterified form of Vit C for better absorption. I was not familiar with the liposomal form, it must be expensive. Very nice of you to reply and my best wishes for everything.

I agree with the 'natural is best' approach. However, the planet's soils are over-farmed, and therefore mineral and vitamin deficient. So, unless you can afford organic, it's my understanding that popping a daily multivit/mineral is the only way to maintain requisite levels of iron, vitamins etc for optimal health.
