Best tool for the money. I would remove the large sawing blade on the top as it is always in the way of the other swivel blade. Fyi, I use it mostly to trim large invasive vines or small invasive tree branches.

you can put a lock washer under the wingnut so it stay tightened

The wing nut has a nylon insert. When it's halfway tightened, it is almost impossible to tighten further without pliers. The blade has three adjustment pins for different angles. If the wing it isn't fully tightened, the blade will flop back and forth.
The pruner itself, is bad ass. Sharp and hell and works great

I have this tool. I do not have a problem with the wing nut getting loose.

I literally just bought that pole saw last night and used it for the first time this morning what an absolute barbie doll piece of crap... I had a corona for years... and even with a dull and rusted blade it cuts 10x better than this new fiskars one... and on top of that.. the rope just broke on it too....30 minutes into using it and I noticed its about half the diameter of the corona rope.... the blade is so poorly engineered... even the connector doesnt hold it on and flips off the peg... even after tightening the nut with pliers.... i literally struggled to cut a 1 inch diameter branch on my arborvitae..... the old rusted corona took on a 5 inch branch with ease....
dont waste your money on the junk!

I think I have to agree with you about the mediocre quality. I'm just not as angry about it, ha ha!

I bought one the other day. Mine is built well and works fine. I was shocked out sharp it is.

i have an older model -- does it still have the 1.5 inch bottom Pole that the Upper Pole slides into???? I think mind needs to be replaced.

It is a telescoping pole. I’m not sure about the pole diameter.

The holes on that lock it in place when extending will wallow out rendering it useless
