I met some Samoans while teaching in South Korea and they were the sweetest and most amazing fellows a man can wish to meet. Blessings D from a cold and rainy Cape Town - South Africa

Growing up with my grandpa he was a really harsh man about doing a umu the right way a lot of Samoans start the umu by laying the woods down but my grandfather hated that method because the rocks won’t be heated enough so he prefers standing the fire woods up and build around it and the umu will be as aasa as hell he says 😂 I believed it cos I did it and it works and that’s how my dad does it too
