I am inspired! The way those vegetables were pureed , I am thinking I can use for the base of a few more recipes. But I love this entire dish and I will be making this. Also, teaching these techniques - the shrimp in a single layer in a circle- seems simple enough but I've never done that and it makes perfect sense! Thank you. 😊

The soup looks like it might freeze well minus the shrimps. Would be nice to make a big batch and freeze smaller portions once the garden gets going later this year.

Thanks for another excellent seafood recipe! I make something similar, but use soy sauce instead of salt for an extra umami flavor, and add mussels and clams.
I'm going to try this the next time shrimp goes on sale. I'll go through the trouble of getting whole shrimp and making a shrimp stock. Probably kick up with heat with a small dab of ghost pepper for some fruity heat. Oh Yea, it's all coming together
Ingredients: Virgin Olive Oil One onion 5 gloves of garlic 1 red bell pepper 1 peeled carrot 4 tomatoes or 3/4 of a cup of canned tomato sauce 🥫 Sweet smoked Spanish paprika Dried thyme Sea salt and cracked black pepper Half a cup of dried white wine Cup of fish broth Jumbo shrimp Parsley
Sorry. Spanish white wine is more appropriate. Better still, some Estrella beer. Preferably, Galicia. One of the things I loved about Barcelona was vending machines that would dispense coke, Pepsi Estrella Galicia and condoms
That’s what I usually do when I make his seafood paella. 🙂🥘 I also keep shells from other recipes in the freezer and add them and a bay leaf, if needed.
