Paulo Lameiras I think the reason it’s under hyped is that a lot of people haven’t heard about it yet and for those who have, it can be difficult to understand the immense scope and potential of the game
Also lot of people wrote it off because "I'm not creative so I don't care," not realizing that it's actually quite easy to pick up and use, much like LBP's level creation. I'm sure once the actual creators get a hold of the full release, RUclipsrs are gonna eat it up like candy and soon EVERYONE will know about it.
I'm afraid that Mm won't market it in a way that would grasp someone's interests. If Mm can't market it, they will lose money, and if they lose money, they will go. The community will also be small. The only hope we have to save Mm is to encourage Sony to help market it or tell our favourite youtubers to try playing it. Spread this message to the dreams community, and maybe we might be able to save Dreams and Mm (You might see this comment in other videos, I am copying and pasting this comment so the dreams community can notice it and hopefully spread the message to otjers, excuse my bad english)
@@tictacteta5718 looking now that the beta is released i think they had planned to market from live streaming creations by beta users to get everyone who might not have the creative touch to say "hey i can probably do that, look how easy it is" haha
I want this game more than any other. I have experience with music creation, 3d modeling, and even making a game in flash. But to have everything in one package and also have the ability to easily collaborate with others in the community... I mean, I can imagine exploring this game for years, literally.
This audio/music stuff by itself could be a multi-£100 piece of software. I thought LBP 2 was elaborate but this is just on another level. CAN'T WAIT ANY MORE!!

Easily the most ambitious game this generation with amazing tech behind the scenes ..I can't think of another game with this level of scope and promise behind it, I'm rooting for this to be a success for you guys MM !!
As a bit of an audiophile since taking up bass, this is probably the single aspect of Dreams that I'm most excited about and it is, without a doubt, looking incredible. This game is definitely shaping up to be my most anticipated possibly of the entire console generation.
Oh thank God, there's a piano key view. The music was one of my most concerning changes. But now I could just make songs like I do in FL Studio or LBP :)
This is something I have been wondering. But if I connect my synth into an audio interface, can I edit it like I can do with midi? Or will it just be recorded as audio? And do you know an audio interface which I can connect to PS4?
That sounds awesome. I wonder about the quality. When you recorded something in LBP with a 100$ microphone it would still sound bad, better than a headset, but still bad. I hope it's different in Dreams.
@Johnny Fishfingers wait what? You mean I can just hook up my external audio interface like a Line 6 UX2 or a Focusrite scarlett? How...? My Pc can barely use it with many drivers.
3:04 Oh my LORD that bass... Finally i can make the Ultrabass song i need. but seriously, bass can play a very important part in drawing out emotions in your audience. a very important tool that wasnt quite given to us in LBP... Fantastic Addition...

I’ll admit it sounds like a tough sell, but for all the creative types in the world, this “game” represents the most comprehensive creation toolset ever. One that makes interactive experiences easier than ever to create and share, and it’s only $60 (I assume). Anyone familiar with LBP just needs to know that there’s a new fully-3D MM creation game with even more tools. Once the word is out that this game lets you make literally anything and there’s an endless supply of interactive experiences like a video game RUclips, the units will move.
Please people for the love of god lets support the hell out of this game because it deserves so much recognition. I'm hoping to get the early access but I will still be buying a physical copy when it releases properly. I would love if they have a "Dreams" app where you could record sounds to make music for in the game. Not just for the mobility/convenience factor of having an idea and working on Dreams away from the main game, but also because not every sound can be ideally created within the home. The sounds of nature, the woods, a lake, birds...etc. Getting those ambient sounds just right, that would be ideal. If not an app, the brief mention of importing methods sounds intriguing. But an app just sounds more simple/open/convenient.
SUGGESTION: Make an app where you can view people's music and models and little stuff that they've shared and you could rate it or leave feedback and comments kind of like lbp.me
I was already blown away by how ridiculously in-depth the daw in this is, and then he said you can even plug an audio interface into the ps4 and record and I was just like wait hold the fucking phone. The music stuff in this game alone is worth more than the price tag that they will charge for the game!!! As someone who has been trying to get a recording setup together for a long ass time this game is literally a dream come true. I NEED IT NOOOOOWWWWWW.
Could you use multiple music channels and key frames to create interactive music? Like a drum beat that increases in volume during tense sections, or a wind chime that only plays in a village?
Inspirity Sort of. You can use OSC to control the in game instruments from a midi controller keyboard etc over Wi-Fi. Using the same technique, you can press record in Dreams and press play in the midi software on a computer and it'll be recorded into Dreams. Not ideal, but with the limitations of the PS4, it's the best system they could do
LBP 1 wasn't the first game I played, but it is the game were my love for games come from. MM and LBP will always have a special place in my heart. I am overwhelmingly excited for this game. I always love the inspiration for imagination. I will definitely play this game a lot. In a time when my interest in this industry is fleeting, this game has sparked a not hope for me. My imagination isn't as great as it was from my time of playing LBP. Hopefully I can muster what I have now, and expand on that with this game. I'm 13 years old, and plan to be a game developer when I am older. I also plan to dabble in film making. When I get a computer, I will edit my friends youtube videos, I will practice making music, and I will try to learn programming. My desire to create is higher than ever before, and this game is an ideal way to create for me. Thank you MediaMolecule, for everything.
Are we allowed to make trailers for the games we make? it would be pretty cool to have a cinematic way to show off the game to intrigue people into playing it.
J J Yeah! Totally! In LBP, you have the option to make a Trailer to appear on the main page for your game, and Dreams has been shown to have dedicated systems for making Videos, so it'll probably be awesome at that! :D
Sorry I can't watch the stream, y'all blew my mind way to much already and I can't wait to play it! I've been waiting for years now for this game and I kind of want a few surprises to look forward to in this game. Music was always my favorite in all your games but especially in little big planet 2 because I could make my own and listen to what other people could make is just beautiful. And the fact that you're bringing this back into dreams just means a lot to me and I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. Great things are happening and I hope y'all have a wonderful day :)
SF141 I get you, but I feel like I need to watch these videos to see things I wouldn't otherwise discover, know, or think to do by going in blind/semi-blind. These guys helped make the software and they're the only ones with any experience with it. They're like experts at using it and watching them work and explain the features and tools is like being in an amazing college course and I can't wait to pass the test by making some insane stuff.
oh yeah, that's why I said at the beginning I've watched their live streams before and so I am also going in semi blind as well. I also understand that these guys are the best at these things so I would defiantly watch this stream to see the amazing stuff they make, but also there's something cool discovering these things for yourself and then later on coming back to this stream and watch how they do it. but I did watch 10 minutes of this and so I got just enough so that I don't know everything but just enough to give me the taste I need. ;)
And here I was planning to buy Spider-Man PS4 but looks like that will have to wait after hearing about this game, I was an avid fan of lbp as well as tearaway, I played lbp ever since i was like 7 years old and still occasionally play to this day so seeing this being so similar really got me in the heart, so yeah definitely pre ordering
I plan on making elaborate ASMR roleplay videos. Starting with a Yoda because as soon as I saw the in-game puppeteering, I thought of puppet Yoda. So if early in the beta, there is a elaborate puppet Yoda out there for everyone to use, don't be surprised.
It remind me good old times with PS One and Music 2000. Very similar layout and way to work with - obviously this is much more advance, but i´m just glad, that somebody bring music creator on console. Just one question - can we download created music? That would be cool!
Will you be able to give characters and cabinets and chests and such inventories? And also will you be able to keep your inventory when going to a new level of the same game? That would be awesome for large games, potentially dungeon crawlers with different rooms. BTW I LOVE the game
Will we be able to make mechanical objects like with pistons, joints, and motors like in little big Planet. Or are we only getting floating animation? If this has already been shown can someone point me to it?
KingFate20 In a lot of gameplay footage from earlier you can see the imp interacting with some different tactile puzzles, like open/closing doors, pulling things up/down on a piston, screwing and other stuff involving bolts, so yep! How you combine that with certain logic though is up to you!
It sucks that compared to other E3 trailers, this game has no publicity. This game is indefinitely on par with those games, if not better, and it deserves WAY more hype and attention
So when talking to create a cut scene will i be able to modify my voice afterwards to make my character sound like someone completely different like peter griffin for example or a female voice so i can create any voice i like without being able to do that voice myself so i alone can do all the voice acting?
The audio editing seems to be a little more in depth than audacity, the free audio software most voice actors I know use, actually it seems closer to Adobe Audition than anything else. There is the other option of using the shared screen audio importing to download dialogue recorded by other voice actors. If you really want to go into that, you can use the Casting Call Club website, which is a free-to-use hub for casting amateur voice talent for short films, machinimas, fandubs, etc. It's pretty easy to set up a project, and I'm sure tonnes of people would be interested in being in a video game! :D
I can't believe how underhyped Dreams have been by most of the community! This is by far my most anticipated exclusive.
Paulo Lameiras I think the reason it’s under hyped is that a lot of people haven’t heard about it yet and for those who have, it can be difficult to understand the immense scope and potential of the game

I get you, but I feel like I need to watch these videos to see things I wouldn't otherwise discover, know, or think to do by going in blind/semi-blind.
I also understand that these guys are the best at these things so I would defiantly watch this stream to see the amazing stuff they make, but also there's something cool discovering these things for yourself and then later on coming back to this stream and watch how they do it. but I did watch 10 minutes of this and so I got just enough so that I don't know everything but just enough to give me the taste I need. ;)

Yup. I don't think I've ever been this hyped for a game.
Same. I get so excited that I just want to burst!
WHEN COMES THE BETA??? I have absolutely no idea and can't wait
It’s scary to think about how complicated and time consuming this is going to be... yet I can’t shake off this excitement.
This is truly remarkable stuff.
I am so excited 😭👏⭐ this will be my favourite ps4 title ever!
Watching this. I wonder if I can make some Nier type music in Dreams?
Or DOOM type music >:]
I can't wait for this game, I need it now.
Just WOW!!!!!!
But can you do cool orchestra music too? like legit stuff from final fantasy?? or maybe full on really emotional piano music?
Has the quality of the sound recording tool been improved over LBP3? Will it sound less compressed?
Quality in dreams is superb. You can even import high quality audio files like .wav, .flacc, and more.
Release........this........game........NOW........
Do we get a new trailer? E3??
I’m hoping either beta or release date info for e3
I need it. Now!
"They're your dreams, and you need it nooooow"
This game is just mad. I WANT IT NOW!
Awesome MM
Taking longer than the next TOOL album lol just kidding love you guys, take all the time you need please.
I will use this to create an asmr sound scape for myself. Weird noises and beeps from every direction
That's exactly what I'm going to do.. In VR.
I plan on making elaborate ASMR roleplay videos. Starting with a Yoda because as soon as I saw the in-game puppeteering, I thought of puppet Yoda.
So if early in the beta, there is a elaborate puppet Yoda out there for everyone to use, don't be surprised.
Patrick Doyle yoda mutturings would make amazing asmr
I’M SO FECKIN’ EXCITED!!!
It remind me good old times with PS One and Music 2000. Very similar layout and way to work with - obviously this is much more advance, but i´m just glad, that somebody bring music creator on console.
Just one question - can we download created music? That would be cool!
This is amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Will you be able to give characters and cabinets and chests and such inventories? And also will you be able to keep your inventory when going to a new level of the same game? That would be awesome for large games, potentially dungeon crawlers with different rooms. BTW I LOVE the game
I need this game, mmm right now :D
7:00 Awesome!
I am Bread music at the beginning of the video.
Seems like it
Don't expect too much. Changing your voice to sound like a female voice or something like that will probably sound a little off
Well yea maybe but hopefully if i try my best to do a female voice i can then modify it and get a decent result
JUST TAKE MY MONEY!
Oooooh coooool a new way to make music!!! Like lbp but look better!! I wait for buy this game, i want try it now :')
So cool! 30:16
Is there a way you can put your created music onto a flash drive via your ps4?
Come on guys, please demo at E3 2018.
And I really would like to see a video on sound effects next too
20:43 is the JAM!
Goddamn, metabog? Come a long way since Abodean Skye, man. :D
Please media molecule, in your next stream can you show the logic in dreams, I would love o see how the characters work and other cool contraptions
If we can make Nintendo games on playtation 4 that would be crazy or even other games from different properties would be insane
So it's like a full DAW. Damn.
This is incredible
Thank god, there is piano roll 🙃
