I just got the game and was about to ask you to make music in it and I found this, so I have no more suggestions.......yet.
I have a request for an app you should try making music with! It's called Bandpass, but I'm not sure if it's for both Google Play and App Store, or just Google Play. It's free and mostly easy to use, you should make a video on it! I've been playing with it for a few months now, it's pretty cool. I recommend watching their video for a quick tutorial and some basic knowledge before making any beats with it.
I would like it if you could try to make a song with Octavia's mandacord in warframe. she is the only music based warframe that is able to have custom made songs in the game. I challenge you to give it a try.

Aucratic Im not too familiar with the Dreams youtube community, and i still dont own the game (although i plan on buying it afer my exams) but do u know any youtubers that post about music creation in dreams

Well yeah of course there is more to music, it's like trying to cover any other art form in a 12 minute video. Also there are folleys too at times

I didn’t think Dreams also had a music kit like FL studio or garage band. Wtf? So Media Molecule literally gave us their whole game engine. Lol.
Except game engines are normally on a pc. What media molecule did is genius.

Upload another! I am a HUGE fan of the ENTIRE media molecule franchise. To see them come so far is really touching. I GREW UP playing these games, And they are what inspired me to get into 3D Modeling and music! Thank you so much for this upload Levi!

I'd buy this game for 80 and not complain. It deserves it.
As an ex LBP addict, this "game" is everything I've always dreamed of (npi) and I am seriously considering buying PS4 solely for it.

Dude, that was honestly amazing... I was debating on getting Dreams, but now I think I definitely will to mess with a lot in that game.
I spent so much time in Dreams. Time will go so fast as you create and play.
Let's just say I bought the game for playing others creations but what I've actually ended up doing is spending hours messing with the music tools learning to make music. It's honestly amazing

I wish people could know this by like watching a trailer but sadly the trailers wayy understate what you can do in Dreams
@@OnlyICanSuckDick yep, Dreams has support for OSC input. As for audio import, it was there way back in the beta but if you allow people to upload all their sounds, you get flooded with copyrighted materials - people were uploading their whole music libraries, track by track - so that function is removed for now.

Dont think Switch would be powerful enough at present. Maybe a Switch Pro. Yh dreams is exceptional.

The PS4 Pro already struggles to run the main "story mode" at a consistent 60fps lol. But this project was definitely built to be future-proof, and it will probably be playable on PS5 at launch. Just saying, a Switch port is pretty unfeasible even if they did want to do it
I don't think it will be released on the switch directly. Sony put out a survey asking people if they would be interested in Remote Play (a service that allows for your ps4 to be streamed and played on other devices) to be available on the Nintendo Switch. If it ever happens then it will probably come in the form of this.

Media molecule has made something else with this game. Easily the best game I’ve played in probably a decade. Maybe all time.

Probably have been my favorite game since it came out, making some insane audio-visuals.
This game has more options and effects for synthesis for half of the crazy expensive synth plugins you can get your hands on, plus an entire game engine added on is absolutely amazing. This could easily be sold for thousands of dollars as professional software if you took away the cutsie characters and such, but that kills the personality so who knows.

Dreams will be an amazing tool for talented people to feed their passions and be recognized for it. The low bar of entry allows for many to possibly start their careers here. That is amazing to me!

My god. I have been creating in Dreams for over a year (beta and ea), and have yet to touch these insanely deep music tools. Dreams is amazing!
FML, this is a better DAW than most of the basic editions out there. Costs the equivalent of only $35 here. I wonder if they will ever sell the virtual instruments or sample library separately. At this price, it would be a steal.
It thought it would just be pasting together a bunch of samples. Definitely did not expect a sound designer.
I don't even think they're just using preset virtual instruments, they're letting you completely synthesize your own custom sounds

This is amazing. I’ve tried making music in dreams and found it quite difficult so I stopped. I would love to see more because you inspire me to make more music.
The more you do it, the easier it gets. And faster work flow comes with time as with any daw or music creative software

I remember when I first made a song using the premade loops thinking "this is so tricky and difficult", but fast forward to now and I feel way more comfortable. I have no prior experience of making music. I've just watched a lot of RUclips videos and practised on Dreams. I still am a far way from making an impressive full piece of music. BUT, I've made some decent loops, and more than anything I'm having a fun. It is a game after all!
This was honestly what sold me on dreams. I can finally make my dream survival horror game with my own custom soundtrack. Im mad im just now discovering this game! Damn im pumped.
It's funny that a PS4 "game" has better synths and instruments than all of FL Studio's built in plugins.

This song sounds so amazing!! And this video makes me really excited! So many people and kids would be able to learn how to make music, when it would have been a lot harder starting from a professional computer program. I bet there'll be so much music made on Dreams which would not have been made otherwise, and it will probably inspire a whole lot of people and children. I didn't expect it to have this many features. Your song is really nice.

These kinds of programs are not common on console or anything else for that matter, which is a crying shame. Dreams is supposed to inspire creativity and I bet, during Covid lockdowns especially, it did just that. What I appreciate is that Media Molecule have made something that does not patronise its young audience. It's good at teaching the basics and has a more in depth tool kit than you would initially believe. That young audience will grow with experience and applaud the quality of what you can produce in the long run.
Then they watch some smiley, happy chappy online show them they've only scratched the surface, and become even more inspired. Awesome!

I'm a huge fan of dreams! I'm not as familiar with the audio tools as I would like to be and there's not as much attention in the community covering for it, so I'm way excited to see somebody who knows what their doing make some music in Dreams!
All my music skill comes from Music and Music 2000 on the Ps1 😂 loving dreams so much!

Uhmmm... personally I would say the way he transitioned into the next key wasn’t that particularly good, but it is a really good song.

@@brunomcleod Come on it was amazing. That change was completely unexpected. The song changed up from something amazing to something even better i a matter of time. So i think its perfect. Because not much producer can change up a song like that and make it fit a lot.
Yes, it changed to something amazing, but I’m talking about the actual transition. The transition was pretty bad. It was literally just a little pause, one leading note and then the next part.

Everyone should put the word game in air quotes when talking about this "game". This is a game engine, a music producing software, aswell as an animation software.
The amount of people here who didn't know you could do this sort of stuff in Dreams really says a lot about how poorly Sony advertised it lol.

Only had thr game for a week but i can safely say its incredible. The sculpting, coding, animating and painting engines are all just like the DAW. Intuitive and insanely limitless with their possibilities

As a breakbeat DJ of 7 years during the late 90s and early 00…. For a beat created in a game… Well Done! 🙏🏻 I would give the build into the final breakdown a bit more time though. Felt like 2 different beats by the end.

My wig is snatched! This game is far beyond something I'd expect from current gen consoles, especially that music maker having so much detail and customizability. I was expected shitty music maker jam preloaded stuff you can barely change, not... *this* ! We've come to expect big Easter egg filled maps, and grand level design as the peak revolutionary aspect of what consoles have to offer, but consoles, imo are kind of lacking in the sandbox make your own content type department. Hell, I didn't even know this game existed! Very ambitious and unique, massive kudos to the devs!👏❤️⭐

This game and its community are beautiful. If you have any casual interest in music production get this game it's an incredibly high quality and programmable DAW as well as a supportive audience that will get behind you no matter what level you're at.

It's extremely unusual for Levi to complement a game's music maker. They are all usually garbage, so props to Dreams.
Very cool video! Definitely keep making more of these. As you said, you can do more intricate things that wire into each other, and those SAME abilities extend to the scenes you put the music in! Like triggering specific tracks, effects, looping part of a song until you get past the intro, etc!
