Hi everyone, thanks for being here. This video is about what we brought back from our recent trip to Australia. I hope it's helpful if you're planning a move to Cambodia soon!
Thanks for the sheet clue for when I come over for good... top tip!! When I was in VietNam many years ago, got prescription sunglasses for about $20.. and got some in china about the same. its great.
I always like the Aussie product shops here in PP - full of all those Anko products from K-Mart. Good bed sheets can be found in PP (in the malls), but much more expensive. I also found that after 16 years here, there is very little that I actually need from "back home", if there is such a place now.

This video is helpful for people who are planning to move to Cambodia because it gives them ideas of things that they might want to bring with them.
back in 2016 in Seam Reip, there was a shoe shop that sold either factory seconds (very minor defects in workmanship) , and/or shoes there was five finger discounted from the shoes factories there. I was able to get some decent keen brand water shoe, but other brands were available too (i think, Nike, Puma, etc). But yes, generally its hard to find 9+ sized shoes in SEA in general, so its best to bring them with you.
I love hearing you talk about K mart. At one time in the USA there were over 2400 K mart stores. Now there are only 12. I did not realize they still exist in Australia. Good information about getting eyeglasses in Malaysia. Would be worth a trip there. I can see where a cordless vacuum would be great there. As always you provide great information!
Thanks for the news, everything else that you are advertising for, get some money for help Cambodians society, and you have a pure heart ,and hard work for the poverty country, everything that shows off on the table that is the colors is your favorite heart. Thankfully you have a pure heart. Also, your friends are working hard for your speech, God is blessed to your team. You'll get successful plan .Sending love to your team.
Hi Claire and Jeremy. I live in Kampot and I feel lucky to have found a shop here that sells 100% hotel quality cotton sheets and pillow cases. 180x200 for only USD 15. I think they are made in Thailand. Homeware shop next to Heng Furniture shop near Samaki market.
@Wise_Cracker It is the Homeware shop right of Heng Furniture shop near Samaki Market. Lady speaks English. Only bottom sheets in white, top sheets are mixed. You can buy two cotton bottom sheets and have a duvet cover made out of them if you need one. Also cotton towels etc made in Thailand.
Thanks - two people carried all that! You won't need to be going back for a while! I got pulled over in England once for travelling suspiciously light.😅
Good information and I've filed away for the future. Appreciate your channel and how "for real" For Riel is! Glad to see the steady growth, now at 16K. Congratulations!
We only have corded ones at the moment. The one I used in this video and for the news is a really cheap one we got in Phnom Penh for $18. I can't wait to see how the new one goes. I secretly just like the way it looks....
Welcome home 🙏 Great info vid .. 👍 Nice to see the house maid handed over the Vac 😂.. if you need a builders level for small jobs or big there’s free apps for your phone which can measure as well .. very handy app I use it a lot 👍
I don't see any Chicken Twisties!! K-Mart (and Target) in Oz have become staggeringly cheap. My Mrs bought a bunch of sandals in Target for $0.65 each. They were just clearing stock, I guess. Additionally, whilst not always the most fashionable, the t-shirts and jeans in K-mart are phenomenally priced - and they have big boy sizes. Funnily enough, we are planning a trip back to Cambodia to stock up on Kampot pepper and that awesome cherry infused coffee. We can't get either where we are.
Based on my personal experience since moving to Cambodia, I would suggest bringing some pants and shorts that are two sizes smaller than you normally wear because you WILL lose weight. All my pants are at least two sizes too small now and I will have to replace and alter what I brought! And it only took two months to lose about 25 lbs! It is very hot here and also your diet will change if you eat more local foods and it isn't the high carb diet that you have been used to.
You are such a cute couple. Before coming, I watched a lot of videos that said - Not to worry, you can get everything here - But it's difficult to find things (even in the big mall), but especially since I walk and carry and it's soo hot ( I came in April!). Thanks for your informative and enjoyable videos. Also - Home and Hotel Supply has cotton sheets (300 thread count) for $15USD. I had to wash one a few times because it was kind of prickly, but they're nice old-fashioned thick.
Thanks for watching 👋 Some random items are really difficult to find and we know it's so easy to get in Australia compared to here. Thanks for the tip on the sheets 😀
I love my crocs, that textured footbed. Since I live on Maui, I practically live in flip flops, and stock up on crocs whenever they have a super sale. Some of them in pretty wild colors, that make me look like a Blue footed Booby. 😂
Hi Jeremy & Claire 😊, welcome back to the Kingdom of Wonder 🙏, hope you had a nice visit back home , I have to admit , I'm no expert when it comes to armpits 😊, but if you're itching there , in this heat , not a good thing , in fact , if you are itching anywhere on your body , in this tropical climate , address the issue immediately 😊, I myself use the deodorant NIVEA , which I believe is a deodorant made for women , manufactured in Hamburg , but available all over Cambodia , been using it since 2016 , cost around $1.50 to $1.70 US , it's a roll on , white in color , never had a problem , Jeremy & Claire 😊, always a pleasure catching up with you both , and rumor has it , a get together may be in the works for the not too distant future 🤔, one can only hope 😊, take care , stay safe , and Jeremy , you be careful handling Mr. Rubby ! 🤣
🤣 so good to see you, Brian! Funnily enough it was Nivea that set me off again recently. The rexona is nothing special but it hasn't given me the itches yet, so I'll keep using it. I think Mr Rubby is Jeremy's favourite possession 🤣🤣🤣
Interesting that Kmart still exists in Australia. I grew up with them, but I’m not sure there’s a single one left in the States. Same thing happened to Sears, their bankrupt parent company.
Thanks for listing these items, my Khmer wife and I live in Cambodia. When I goto USA every 6 months I also pick up - mustard, peanut butter, shoes/socks/underwear, cold weather clothes, paperback books to read in English, Western Deodarant (underarms),

Hi J and C. A question. I watched a very good video by you on renting an apartment in SR. It was 2 years old. Is renting situation much the same ? I will get to SR in October and will be looking to rent. Thanks

I couldn’t find a pumice stone when I was back there but I bought walking shoes because they are so comfortable and that is my favourite crocs style which I didn’t replace and my pair here broke 3 days after I got back from Australia. So that is on the list for next time. I also bought vitamins and electrolytes because I can’t stand Royal D and vitamins are mega expensive here. Although I have since found some nice natural ones locally made.
I hate the way those Crocs just break with no warning whatsoever. 😭 I just love the style so much. The pumice we bought seems to be some weird reconstituted material that is half soap. hi Claire & Jeremy, that was a surprise that bit of deco falling down throughout an excellent show, all part of the fun👍. Does that big Nivea bottle just a moisturiser or a suncream? Here in the UK, never seen those big bottles with a pump from Nivea.

Hi, love your vlogs. A couple of questions for you. I believe you said you brought 40 kilos of merchandise from Australia and Malaysia to Cambodia. I'm curious, did you ship the merchandise using your airline luggage allowance, or did you use boxes and ship as air cargo. My second question, did Cambodian Customs charge duty on the stuff you shipped. Thanks
Yes it was just our luggage allowance so no need for customs or anything like that. No additional charges as it's all for personal use.
Buy mr Robby the neck massager at Cosco because the always accept returns no matter the years. !!
Problem is finding one of those stores in these parts.... :)

It comes apart and fits inside the suitcase, no problem!
Holy crap man has Shaq feet
Nah Shaq's are almost double his size. I have size 50, it's pretty common in the countries England colonized.
Haha yeah, his shoes look funny in the pile of local people's shoes.
I take oxycodone by prescription in the US. Can I get a script there and get from the pharmacy?
Very, very unlikely. There is no such thing as a script here, and outside of hospitals, you will not find narcotics.
