This is legit my favorite Dreamworks movie. The trippy visuals, the mutant prehistoric beasts, the modernized caveman humor, I LOVE THIS MOVIEEE! Edit: The 2nd one was not really as good. It had funny gags and had even more trippy animals, but the writing felt like it was(which I see repeating in many new disney and dreamworks movies these days) a bunch of adults trying to sound like children and it just coming out cringy.
the first half of the 2nd was pretty cool with both families doing funny shit, but (spoiler) the whole plot about the monkeys and rescuing the guys felt kinda boring and it just kinda didin't fit?
Genuinely one of the most underrated Dreamworks movies, as I really love the family dynamic and how good the creative visuals are. I also think Nicholas Cage gives a great performance as Grug, and I really like his character arc
My dad is my best friend and the scene where Eep is saying goodbye to her dad and says "I have so much to say to you" and he tells her what she needs to hear really gets to me. I cry every time.
I adore how emotional he got during this movie. he needs to see “a silent voice” next. such a beautiful film and I’ve been watching it every night since i discovered it lmao 😅

The croods came out in 2013 and it is undoubtedly one of my most favorite childhood films I have ever watched I love this movie soo much and is definitely such an underrated DreamWorks story. When it was announced several years back that the Croods will be getting a sequel and the first trailer came out I was so happy and excited to see them come back and I had given up on thinking they would do one for many years. Am very glad they brought the Croods back and the second movie was definitely a good watch. Highly recommend watching.

When he was shit talking Grug the whole time, I was just waiting for the last part where he essentially sacrifices himself to save everyone and then paints them in the cave. That scene was my favorite part and I knew it'd instantly convert him.
