Hi fam, here's the detailed video on everything you need to know about saving for your first house in the UK with a Lifetime ISA ruclips.net/video/zklr4Ux-u-Y/видео.html
Pls which High Yield Savings do u use that gives you over £100 monthly pls… kindly help us drop the link pls. I want to believe this is different from ISA… pls correct me if am wrong. Thank you. Hope to hear from u.
We need to remember several Black African give a lot of remittance back home. They are also more likely to invest in Africa in the UK. One thing that these stats do not factor in enough, is the start is different. Black African are more likely to work low income jobs compare to others. People tend to opt for low income jobs as they are easier to get. However, I know in the next 7- 15 years these stats will change drastically because people are waking up. Knowledge is power, many Africans in the West do not readily access the correct information. But when they do, they thrive more than some of the natives.
… Well worth bearing in mind that we are NOT comparing like for like…For example many ‘native white English people’ get a huge helping hand from parents and/or grandparents to launch into adulthood eg first car, marriage expenses paid for, contribution made towards their first home deposit - to name but a few…. But Black Africans of the second generation England are steadily providing these leg-ups to their children… 🌻
@@Soton-EI am Indian which i believe has the highest wealth per household of the groups and what you said is true and is actually essential. Helping your family is essential whether that be helping your children study and learn and instilling discipline and curiosity in them at an early age, to helping them with their first home deposit or with career guidance. Even other things such as focusing on your relationship so that the children have a stable family and focusing on your own pensions and savings+ health so that they don't have to look after you in your old age. All these things help set them up for success and it is such a wonderful thing to help the next generation and see them flourish.
1. Being too dependent on credit 2. Not building wealth in the UK 3. Not having an emergency fund 4. Not having passive income strategy 5. Not investing 6. Not planning for retirement 7. Lack of financial planning 8. Black tax
Thank you. Good points. And I will like to add that. Visa fees, ihs fees, ILR fees, passport application fees when you get to that point all contribute to keeping you poor. You are hardly able to save but expected to pay thousands of pounds for visa renewals, ihs, ilr and passport. As long as you are not settled yet, it's going to be hard to keep any money.
Excellent video! At least 2000 pounds to start with the 1st month. Life is expensive. At least 3 months savings will bring you a sense of security (not panicking if you loose your job), 6 months will bring you peace of mind, you will sleep better. Put that money aside and forget you have it, until you have a major personal emergency.
I agree, the majority of us send money home. We tend to prioritise others at home. Unfortunately, a lot of us end up in jobs that we are over qualified for for too long, which then limits the income we have available to build wealth.
The frequency and method of sending money home are personal decisions. You have the option to make sacrifices. You dont hurt yourself helping others. More blessed to give!
Interesting take here. Interested in the passive income strategies you currently personally use successfully (not just ideas) especially for professionals with a full time 9-5.
Well done Chidera 👏🏾👏🏾 for making this video. I’ve forwarded this to my friend groups because I tell them all the time about Pensions & investing but most don’t listen. Please keep it going and let’s inspire more people to become financially savvy.
Great vid! Just to add, even if you go back to Nigeria you can still claim your pensions. Also remember to consolidate your pension pots. If the fine prints are exhausting for you to read, call your pension operators and ask questions. Ask for the conversation to be sent to you via email. Hope it helps!
I just boomed on your page and i must say God brought me here. Started with money mistake you should avoid and had to subscribe. Thanks for this. Please i want the ISA video and Passive income. Thanks
If you think you have been procrastinating setting up a money tracker, download your statement. Print it if you can, when you see the fubds flowing through you. You'd decide if you need to get your act together.
great advice, the only concern i have with side hustle e.g. youtube , selling, etc is the visa restrictions on it for skilled worker visa, thats why the passive income and high yield one you mentioned seems like the safest bet for now
Chi, thanks for your videos. It is always educative, great lessons, but in lifetime ISA, you said it has an age limit. For people like us who are above 50s, what is the best platform to invest in . Thanks ❤
Hello Chider! I only came across your video this morning and honestly! It’s like you are speaking to my soul!! This is my second video of yours I have watched this morning.. please I am interested in ideas for passive income! There lots of fake once’s out there but what would you recommend and trust. Great content Chidera. What HYSA pays that ROI of £100 every month? What is the percentage and how much would be put aside. I am a bit curious and interested please
Thank you More on the housing for life isa saving you want to mention Also the pension if we have in many places how do we get it joint Also the side hustle jobs you want to mention please Thank you chidera Blessings to you
Hi Chidera, Thanks for your videos. Very insightful and yeah, I have implemented all savings plans you’ve talked about from just watching your videos for 3 days. Subscribed here and Instagram. God bless you.
Thanks very much for your advice. You're young but full of wisdom. Is there anyway I can talk to you one on one? I always desire to have passive income.
Many of us Africans constantly send money back home to build houses we may never live in. Meanwhile, we live with our families in small, cramped council housing, often wondering why our children are struggling, getting involved in crime, or ending up in the prison system.
Do a video on what poeple that cant do ISA do....like with the age bracket u cant do ISA.please thank you.....I am doing plum......already....Good work
Pension consolidation works better if you are just starting. If you try to move all your pension into one pot, it will cost up to 25% of the total in each pot in fees. Not worth it.
Dera, I am really enjoying your money educational videos these days. Please can you make a video on the various side hustles /passive income ideas . Also talk about the specific high interest savings account you use.
It all depend on the interest rate the bank is offering and the amount you put in. Right now the average interest rate is between 4% and 4.5%. If you put 30,000 pounds in your account and leave it there, you will have a minimum of 100 pounds extra per month, and the money will keep on growing.
How do I get my pension account back, I have worked in two places and now am in a good place how do I track those pension account back? To link with the new one.
High interest account or not, if you're making £100/month on interest alone, you have a savings pot of close to £20k. You should probably move it to S&P 500 to do 12-15% per annum. 😂😂
@@centemeks this depends on if she requires that money in the next year or two. For example the deposit for your house or the savings for your wedding should not be in stocks as if the price of the market went down by 10% the day before you had to pay you would be screwed. However if they can hold it for 5years or more then it makes sense to have it in stocks/shares
Hi, blessings to you and your family. I’m over 40 (43), am I still able to get an ISA account? If not what can I do to generate wealth through financial government contributions/ incentives?
Hi 👋🏾 yes you can still open an ISA account. You can open a cash ISA or stocks and shares ISA but you cannot open a lifetime ISA as you’re over the age of 40. I hope this helps
