I tried this on a PowerA third party controller, the analog stick replacement is not exactly the same as the nintendo switch one, so it doesn't fit. the Power A is larger. just to let people know if they are going to try on a power A controller the part dont fit. also if anybody finds a part that fits just let me know.
Hello, it was an excellent video, only when he spoke that if that is what I get up to the central part of the potentiometer below and I want to know where that line is going to go so I can connect it directly
I need to ask: is the analog stick smaller than the Xbox/PlayStation ones? I have a gamesir gamepad and the analog stick is a bit smaller than the Xbox, making it difficult to swap or fix. I found a hall effect analog stick on Alliexpress that I want to test but, I need to now if it is smaller or not...
I accidentally lifted the middle pad for the horizontal potentiometer on the right analog stick while replacing the unit. Is it repairable or am I completely screwed here? I can't find any schematics so I'm not sure if this pad actually goes anywhere.
Nice soldering setup. You must do a lot of jobs to warrant a $600 setup; maybe cheaper when you initially got it, but that's the price for your setup now.
Nintendo released some updated firmware for the Switch to permanently disable this controller so I just ended up tossing it and getting an authentic pro controller. :)
l think this is not a ns pro controller, the pcb looks totally different. And it's not that soomth when doing the circle text 7:22,the spot stop a while when it goes to up-donw-left-right 4 side. We should make sure that the joystick's tow carbon film is FULL CIRCLE,not pieces.and spot stop issue will be resolved. Carbon film is in the green(orange) chamber.
@@co8wei Oh I see!Thank you for telling me. My English is too bad that couldn't totally understand what he said. And I just learn a new word "knock-off"😅
Somehow my left stick had a deadzone and the calibration just reduced the entire area to exclude that. Basically now i can have the stick going to max if i slightly move it instead to push it all the way on the side. Kinda alarming
If you're talking about powera ones I think they have a different kind of stick box. You'd have to open it up and check. If you get the right stick box though then yes switching it out is the same
It's this flux ( www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DR62IYY/ ) but I've since learned that using flux with a desoldering gun like the Hakko can cause problems. The flux can get deep into the guts of the desoldering gun and may require a lot of cleaning/disassembly to get rid of. If I were to do it again, I'd probably try to either not use flux or replace the filter right after using it.
My replacement joysticks make the same thing, it sticks and has to be pulled back to the center. My question is, did matter in the end, or does it work even if the joystick replacement is a bit stiff.
@@migueldelcastillo7269 Yeah, when I replaced the sticks on my xbox controller they did that too lol. Seems that with the design of these things it likes to do this.
I bought a knockoff pro controller and when it almost never drifts, and when i'm playing it never drifts. I found a way to stop the drift which was to turn off the controller than turn it on again
If you don’t push in thumb stick caps after enough that can do it, but sometimes it’s that the module is installed uneven, or the case is screwed in too tight. Many things can happen.
I bought a broken off brand procon and I'll be doing exactly this to fix it. Really helpful video.

Спасибо за проделанную работу. Имею такой же джойстик. Думаю тоже нужна замена, но таких же резисторов не нашел в интернете. Попробую от PS4

the constrution this controller is very awesome

There are specific joystick models for the PS4, PS5, Switch Pro, Xbox One/S/X, and Xbox Elite controllers.

Is the replacement still working? Just trying to gauge the longevity of replacement parts. Thank you.

I had the exact same issues I got a replica expecting it to be good but it wasn’t so I’m part swapping them
Hi! I need help. Does the dualshock 4 analog stick work on the pro controller?
Yes
Any chance you take in orders? I have the same problem & don't know anything about what you just did lol. So just wondering if you do how much?

He already said in the video that it's a knock off.

Does this work with the ones that are not rechargeable the ones that you have to put battery's?

Do you think it’s possible to attach a analogue stick from a completely different controller to a Pro Controller? Like using an Xbox stick?
Only if it has the same pins
what are the products you put on the solder points before desoldering?

Where did you buy Replacing Left Joystick ? I bought like her but the size is large
They are the same size.
You can buy them on eBay. They're just ps4 or Xbox one controller stick boxes

The joysticks do that when they don’t have the plastic coverings to stop the full range of motion.
So it is normal that it does that

I literally bpight a real nintendo controller from the store and it broke in this way.
using a desoldering gun is cheating

has anyone tried to put Wii U thumb sticks into a switch pro controller?
