    I've played this game for over 6 years. At first i was just having fun but over time, being better than i was before was my new definition of fun.
    I watch famous dota teachers like bowie, purge, gameleap, and Jenkins. I still love jenkins since he is my most watched teacher but man, BSJ is on a whole lot different kind of level.
    This literally made me change my mindset on how dota works. Before i thought it's the big plays like last hits, kills, and item builds that matters but no, BSJ thought me its all the little things that were applied from minute 0 up to the end of the game is what determines which team will win and if im getting better than before. Thanks BSJ! I truly appreciate your hardwork. If i had enough money to pay you for your premium tutorials, I would, just need to save little more money from my work.

      ive only just started watching videos. i've played since 2007 original dota (almost 13 years) on and off with years of breaks in between. Probably 3-4k worth of hours on dota2 and im still 2k trash lol. Watching BSJ feels like the "missing pieces" to why i suck, such as mindset, decision making and most importantly QUESTIONING everything I do or should do. I'm hoping to hit 3k this year :)

    "You are not an individual on this team, you are a part of a group of 5." I think that problem isnt limited to NA i think its pretty common on all servers. I mean i play on SEA and this looked like a pretty good team to me. I've also played on European server a few times and got teammates who play as if their team doesn't exist.

    I mean, it's prettty obvious! |You got Shaker and MK, one builds blink dagger, the other has a blink dagger type escape/initiation (MK tree dance) and you also have ursa that sometimes builds blink in order to jump the backline. OF COURSE you make a pipe, it absorbs magical damage that prevents blink dagger cancelation, it prevents blink going into 3 sec cooldown. You literallly enable at least 2 of your teammates with pipe active. Build it! Build pipe! Otherwise zeus will ruin your game! 100%

    BSJ, a question about what u said at min 23:50~ about pressuring top instead of bot cuz of ursa.
    As an underlord, isn’t it better to pressure the tower bot to attract tps and ult away top for rosh? So the enemy team has no time to respond?
    Cuz if under threatens the tower top, it will draw the enemy no?

    • @micahcollins4222
      @micahcollins4222 3 года назад +3

      I think he was referring to pressure top being more valuable. Radiant feels more pressure to defend the top t1 than the bot t2 as taking the top t1 enables a free rosh pretty much whereas pressuring the bot t2 is not even that important as underlord is unlikely to actually walk up and hit that tower. We saw in the game that it only took a spectre to counterpush underlord's bottom pressure, and making her rotate is not particularly important as she can haunt into the teamfight from anywhere. I personally think that the 4 man rotation on the underlord bottom as a response to his push was unneccessary and gave ursa a free rosh, killing underlord should not be the main objective at that point of the game as he was not creating a lot of pressure, but nonetheless they make that play and then lose a rosh fight and basically the game a while after. Compare this to if underlord pressures top. If underlord is top, he actually does create tower pressure to a significant objective, this should actually force rotations and should lead to either ursa taking a bunch of free farm in the safe areas of bottom, or an advantageous teamfight in a time where I believe dire to have a stronger 5v5 force, leading to a secured rosh just a few units away. Take this with a grain of salt tho as I am a 6.2k pos 1 player and probably not better than everyone in this match.

    • @Gorvak
      @Gorvak 3 года назад

      @@micahcollins4222 you are right l, I am a 5k player and thought that I wouldn’t want to have a tf 5v5 until my cores have bkb against that team, so my line of process was to isolate myself and draw attention at the other side of the map, so I could free the objective without having to tf. Which is what this under did. I wouldn’t feel pressured e to play around rosh cuz their rosh line up sucked a lot and I have an ursa, so, until I can guarantee a fight, which if this item build up, it wouldn’t be too early, it would be better to antagonize the enemy team away from my team and escape with my ult.

    6k to 7k bracket is a strange bracket tbh
    youll see people that are pretty good but somehow still stuck in the bracket others that play "ok" but they have no idea what items they should buy and which order, others that just spam one hero and do same item build every game with no exceptions and the last type are the kind of guy that looks at everyones mistakes and writes 24/7 this last one is at least one or two of your teammates every match
    ive been slowly climbing it up but man, its a struggle to have good then bad people, id say most people dont understand how hard you can snowball on early game in that bracket, others just fed up with x core and they go to the oposite side of the map
    i feel bad for being in this bracket because most people are SO bad in this bracket plus the 10-20 min queue is another turn off
    am slowly going up but it will take a long time, thanks to bsj id say i can own 60% of my lane stage
    the fun part of the bracket is that people have their egos so big that they cant accept a mistake and they start to argue with insults and stuff, at least i find it entertaining while wining/losing lol arguing about that is unnecesary, can black list it and not see that person anymore instead at least thats the "tip" i can give to anybody that is trying hard to climb mmr

    Perfect example for the power spikes: Nyx is a power spike hero. Once you reach lvl 3 Vendetta at lvl 18, you can almost definitely solo kill anyone unless they are building tank builds. Lvl 6 of course is also obvious cause you get Vendetta, though, lvl 12 Vendetta is at a weird point for Nyx...it's helpful, but it's not enough of a power spike compared to lvl 18 because lvl 3 Vendetta allows you to time your ult so that you can hit someone, nuke them, wait 2 seconds and it's back up again to either allow you to safely get out or use your ult on someone again.

    I know im more than a year late to the party, but im at 9:57 and he's talking about having not hp sustain and buying sould ring and im thinking what items id buy. and i feel like i would have had no issue with the soul ring (i don't like the item in general)
    Tangos, stick, windlace, branches, maybe fairy fire, bracer, boots, wand, ring of health then soul ring. as the hp regen from the ring of health would be really needed in order to use the soul ring.
    Additionally, if im against a zeus and i know im basically rushing pipe, i might even start with ring of regen to build into a headdress instead of the bracer, so im getting regen for both me and my lane partner and underlord doesnt really need much STR towards his damage, so regen is more important. in that case id maybe forgo the windlace in favor of that ring and go headdress, wand, boots, ring of regen and out sustain them with pure regen. Which actually works great vs undying who lowers your HP pool and you regen it up and then when you get your str back your at full hp.
    feel free to tell me how wrong i am; im 1k, and i see the most insane item buillds all the time and it bugs me that people have no interest in itemisation in the least.

    quick question, if you playing timber and you have health issues like what bsj said in the vid, would you still go soul ring? (considering like its one of the most common build for timber to enable his kit)

      Timber doesnt have health issue. The only concern for him is how much magic burst could enemy deal to him. Play around this. Its more easier to play SR in timber cz he has huge regen from reactive. But dont built it if you are against heavy magic nukes early. Opt for arcane always mostly better cz it has so many routes (bloodstone, greaves, lotus)

      @@BudiTabootie Ty bro helps a lot. Also i only pick timber if i see at least 1 str core. Specially in my bracket most of the time enemy offlaners are str.

    I'm surprised as 3k in SEA. UD should always buy sustain items as the hero is a damage soaker/utility.

    I feel like the way that this underlord spoke, they would take bsj's attitude well.
    So I don't feel too bad laughing so hard on how mean bsj is being. He gives credit where credit is due. So that also lets me laugh my butt off.

    Can anyone elaborate on what BSJ meant when he said "a hero people smoke to or smoke away from"? I'm guessing people smoke to means a hero people smoke gank, and smoke away means you don't typically join the smokes and kinda do you're own thing?

    I really think he just want some kills with that build. Not bothering whether his teammates get rekt by the pokes and burst.
