- In 1891, two New England boys found gold on this site, leading to the creation of this mine. Four years later, the boys vanished, followed by others. Legend has it that the mine is haunted by numerous tormented souls, as well as the Grim Reaper himself!
WARNING: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS FLASHING LIGHTS.
Fun fact: Stephen King used both this ride and the park as a whole as inspiration for his novel “Joyland”.
nawww reallleh?
Who cares what he thinks anyway.
Wow that fact is fun
I didn’t know that
I wanna see a movie adaptation
That real guy at the end gave me the biggest jumpscare of the ride lol
Fun fact: this ride scared the hell out of me as a small child
Yea
The guy at the end scared me most of all lol
Greetings! May I use this footage in a video I'm making about dark rides? I will give your channel full credit.
Sure thing!
It's crazy seeing this. It used to be a family tradition to go here (80s, all through the 90s, into early 2000s), and nothing has changed on this ride. I need to go back.
The mummy tomb stuff makes no sense.
As a little kid this scared me. As an adult the horror theming is pure cultural chaos.
Nos sense in there being visuals of a 90s visitor in a coffin when this is a 1800s themed ride, and a Egyptian Pharaoh with the cultural knowledge of Egyptomania? Buried in the US?
Is this just supposed to be the character going into the underworld by accident? And then they just *walk out*??
I’m at the mine dark ride. I’m at the haunted castle dark ride. I’m at the combination haunted castle mine dark ride.
I really like this ride. It was a perfect transition from the "lighter funnier" part at the beginning to the darker part at the end. Got some of "the Mummy" vibes. Wouldn't be surprised if there was any folklore from the 1800's that were an inspiration for this ride.
The last time I went on this I had a panic attack, I was a teenager. The ride operator had to tell me it was over before I would open my eyes.
so real.. i’m a teenager rn and i went on this ride yesterday. i was shaking and my head was down the whole time😣 not fun
I’m going on Monday with my dad on a member +1 day where everything for the members and their plus one is free 😎
i swear there were some old cartoon audio clips in there - was that ted cassidy doing the voice of the mummy?
Good question!
Visited canobie today and the line for this ride is crazy. I remember going on it every time I've been to canobie growing up. I love the focus on set design that dark rides have.
2:07 New friends to play with
0:42 ghost handprints, maybe ghost saved us?
Here's a Mine of Lost Souls video no one's ever never seen until now...Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/48IAX_lFqvA/видео.html
you have to stay for screeemfest and check out the haunts!
Awesome video! Finally a 4K POV of my favorite ride of all time! Thank you!!!!
Thank you so much!
How do you all of a sudden end up in Egypt?
Is this the place you did the face reveal and your face looks great better than mine
Awesome video! I love working this thing!
Awesome looking ride. The first half is definitely heavily inspired by one of the greatest dark rides of all time, the Calico Mine Train at Knott’s Berry Farm. Not saying that as a bad thing. Awesome upload
Agreed! And, thank you!
I went on that ride this past summer!
Best dark ride ever!
So "the mine is haunted by numerous tormented souls, as well as the Grim Reaper himself!" Right? What About The Mummy Sequence? It Had Nothing to Do with The Grim Reaper at All.
Yea the mummy sequence needs to be replaced by something else.
Great video!!!
Ive been on this ride so many times i know it by heart.
I’m surprised how did you film this?
i loved this! then again i kinda love all your videos lol
Thank you!
Awesome dark ride 💀❤
love this ride
The guy waiting at the end was the scariest
Never been able to figure out what a tomb has to do with anything.
That’s part of the fun!
THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST
