Hey Rift, don't feel bad about the comments dissing you for going Intel. There's nothing wrong with them, you should be able to pick whichever CPU brand you want instead of only going for one. This is coming from a Ryzen 9 3900X user. This build will do you justice, can't believe you rendered all your videos with that old PC. Patience of a king.
Yes intel is fine but the i9 9th gen was embarrassed by the 299 dollar 5600x for price for performance until intel lowered their prices, so depending on how much he paid he either got a really good deal or a terrible deal.
I only got this CPU because I found it at 315 EUR ($380), it's way too overkill for my needs, but nice to have. My previous i7-8700 was a perfectly fine CPU. As of now, AMD CPUs are too expensive, so the 10400/11400 are the best budget CPUs atm.
@Mask Not sure if trolling. If not, I have no use for a workstation CPU. I don't even have an use for this Ryzen 9 as I've already stated, I just bought it cuz the price was nice. Pretty sure Ryzen destroys Opteron in IPC for gaming anyway

Some people were scared that the audio wasn't working, I was just spooked when you said your PC was 10 years old and pulled out a Z97 motherboard. Making me think my PC's 10 years old. That was 2014, rift!
To expand on "CPUs don't come with coolers anymore", the reality is that high-end CPUs tend to not come with coolers. But most consumer CPUs do. Intel's are not very good, AMD's are much better. Either way, once you get to an i5 or Ryzen 5, you should start considering getting a third-party cooler that can cool better. AMD has some pretty decent stock coolers, I actually have the Wraith Prism that came with my Ryzen 7 3700X still on it, but I'll be getting an AIO liquid cooler soon. Also, for anyone who is looking to build a PC now, I would not recommend going for a 9th generation Intel processor with a 300-series motherboard. These parts are a little hard to find at the moment but their 400-series motherboards and 10th generation CPUs are not only readily available but also very affordable right now! For the higher end, they are a better value than AMD's high-end offerings, overall. For example, the 8-core i7-10700F is only $230 at the moment, which is crazy-low! Finding a GPU is impossible at the moment but it's a decent time to upgrade your Intel CPU/motherboard. I'd also recommend getting at least 3000mhz RAM if you get an overclocking motherboard. While RAM speeds don't help Intel quite as much as AMD, it does help a little, and 2666mhz RAM is often the same price (or even more expensive??) than 3000 or 3200 speeds. There is almost no reason to go slower, and the CPU can handle higher speeds despite the confusing specifications that imply that they can't utilize those speeds. The power supply upgrade was technically not required, because the power connectors are all standardized and have not changed for the last 10+ years. That being said, it was a good idea to upgrade, since power supplies can wear out. Having that peace of mind is always nice, and so is having modular cables and a high efficiency rating!

hey rift, not sure if you read comments but you might want to put your graphics card into the top PCIe slot rather than the one it's currently in. Usually the top one has more bandwidth than the bottom one. On this motherboard I think that is the case, you might even be able to see that the top one has more visible pins extending out from the left than the bottom one does once you take out the graphics card. Great job though, all the best.

I recently unsubbed from all other ASMR creators. I can safely rely on ER to have a video I have yet to watch to go to sleep every night.
This was amazing!!! Dual use video, ASMR and PC built for beginners, this is brilliant. Thank you, good sir! ❤😁
That cone is the enemy of ASMR
You mean mid roll ads.
@@ForestDwellingWretch RUclips premium squaaaad!
@@elk1827 😭 I’ll just setup a add blocker
The timing for this vid 👌 I am finishing my build this Sunday! Finally got my hands on a 30 series GPU so yah! Thank you Uncle Rift for including us in your build!
This mans old pc parts are cleaner then my 3 month old pc
Thanks man. Now i can build a new PC and use MS-Dos. Best tech channel ever. :-D
My theory is that he hides that mic in his beard and that’s why you can’t see it.
I like this theory but what about when he does his shave?
@@remiwisinski1015 he doesn't (?)
@@remiwisinski1015 you’re completely right I’m beat on this one
@@Ozukai sometimes he buzzes his hair off and shaves. Like a few years ago. Idk.
His beard is his mic
Ah so now the "calm cone" is gunna be a easter egg we're all gunna be going back to hunt for for in previous few video's where we thought there were sound issues.....well played and has they all say, this man never runs of idea's!
E.R. Can do anything he wants with his imagination, so he makes a video with no sound and you can still get relaxed
Imagine if all youtube videos had no sound, we would all get so much more done instead of watching youtube
Bruh, there is sound
@@Yyodajedimaster I made it in the beginning and I knew a bit of sign language and I thought he was still gonna do it, that’s my bad
I was looking for a asmr pc build for such a long time, and i still can't belive that ER, my favorite asmrtist finally did it
This is why I wish that tutorials for building a PC were done in asmr style. I dont wanna hear some shit music in the background while someone screams in my ear. I want a nice, relaxing walk-through similar to this video.
(for clarification I know this isn't a tutorial, and I didn't use it as such.)
Love when ER does talking like this. Super quality
I never knew you built Pc’s but now I’m very happy
Asmr for pc building
The greatest combo.... Not just because it's relaxing but taking your time while building a pc, some people just rush it and wanna get it over with, which in advance destroying the parts, instead find a way to make it relaxing, always helped me when i build my'n
Please do more tech stuff like phone unboxing or pc cleaning.
i'll see what i can do!
oh great my three favorite things to relax, pc building, asmr, and ER
hey rift, not sure if you read comments but you might want to put your graphics card into the top PCIe slot rather than the one it's currently in. Usually the top one has more bandwidth than the bottom one. On this motherboard I think that is the case, you might even be able to see that the top one has more visible pins extending out from the left than the bottom one does once you take out the graphics card. Great job though, all the best.
Darn, it sounds like you guys had a good time. In my watch of this video, he turned the _Cone of Silence_ the wrong way and accidentally set the video to "obnoxiously loud." RIP headphone users.
this was great. nice to see a computer build that isn't all over the place and just straight to the point. thanks ER :)
Wait, wouldn't for the CPU AMD been a way better choice? Especially for his use case?
Yeah, but 5000 series is imposible to get and that drove the prices of the 3000 way up.
@Celllnside he said it was being shipped during the video so he never got to install it
You got me so good with the no sound, I checked my volume, checked my Bluetooth ear buds, then went... "wait a minute, how does he kno- ooohh, ooooooohhhhhh" love the PC btw!
After watching this, I am now 100% sure this man has infinite ideas
Loved it! I'm in IT myself and have allways loved your videos in general, but this one was just extra special :).
I was definitely relieved that you bought a new PSU. I’ve had those things fail on me out of the box, and frankly it’s the worst possible thing to have fail, cause if it fails just right it’ll take everything else with it lol
Very nice build tho, enjoyed the video :)
ive been building pcs from age of 10, not so much last 8 years...only once (my current build)....this was so relaxing and awesome, much needed on end of the work week
that card despite how weak it is in current day still looks crisp
I swear to God the cone is one of the best thing I've ever witnessed on the channel. Love it so much
Uncle E is about to reach 1 million!!! 😭😭😭
True
As the king of E I approved
I’ll always remember this guys killer Line I died laughing. It was the nothing store and he goes “Does someone you love deserve nothing for Christmas? I got the perfect thing, it’s nothing for them”
I can't believe this guy is good at redstone irl
Underrated

That cone is probably the strongest ASMR-related Artifact I have ever seen.
-Tissue of the Elder Gods?
-Hands of the Elder Gods?
-Lamp Shade of the Elder Gods?
-Wooden Blocks of the Elder Gods?
*The Cone of the Elder Gods holds reality and time under it's control*
I love how slow he does everything.
This could work as an acctual tutorial to some people
That KEKW near the end got me. Great build rift.
Didn't know you could control sound volume with a VLC player logo.
Well the second I saw “building” and “pc” in the title, I knew I would love this video
The beginning got me thinking that my audio was broken.
a couple of things, you'll want to move your graphics card up to the top slot for maximum performance and you'll want to sort out your cable management as well (route them behind the motherboard tray as it can actually help with airflow
この動画好きすぎて多分10回目みてる
あと、最初ER節出てて騙されたわ😂
