- Bodycam and security footage shows the moments surrounding a Florida man’s meltdown at a Subway on January 9. Alberto de Barros was unhappy with his sandwich and proceeded to do what he thought was best. Authorities charged him with battery. The case is still pending.

@@MisterMikeTexasI was out of town, staying in a hotel, without a vehicle and the closest restaurant was a Subway like a 5 min walk down the street, so I walked down, got a meatball sandwich, and walked back to the hotel to eat. It was probably the single best sandwich I’ve ever had from Subway. I didn’t have a chance to go back to that same store before I left, but I’ve been chasing that meatball dragon ever since and, disappointingly, not one of them have even been close to as good. I don’t know if I just got lucky that night or that store is just somehow superior or all of the Subways I’ve gone to since are just that bad…
Sounds like when I worked at panera bread in highschool. Lady got a salad with dressing on the side and what did she do when it came with dressing on it? She threw it on the ground and screamed to fix it. Adult sized children are ridiculous.
I'd have given her another salad with the wrong dressing also ON the salad. 😆

I've seen videos of employers attacking customers for a lot less. She was quick and smart and trusted the legal system would deliver her justice.

I think she did cut it in half, but I’m guessing he wanted each half wrapped separately. At least that’s what it sounded like based on the employee’s description of events.
When she said that next time he just needed to tell her ahead of time, that’s when he got mad, because I think he felt he did tell her that ahead of time.
The way he described it though, I can see where the misunderstanding came from, because the way he describes it to the cops, it sounds like he just wants the sandwich cut in half.

If it's ones like in the video, who are CLEARLY taking her side, its a "vicious hurling and assault". It’s insane that people think this kind of behaviour is remotely normal - the worker running out of the store, recording the guy & yelling at him, and the man throwing his sandwich at her because it wasn’t perfectly to his liking 🙄 POLITELY ASK if they can fix it PLEASE. In discussing this exact thing my mom made a statement that rocked me, she asked if I would acted like I would hit my dog but stop short. I was like naw not a chance in heck she asked why and I said because he wouldn't know it wasnt intended to hit or strike him , I couldn't see how close he got to her in all honestly but acting like your going to hit is dang near the same as the other person reacts without knowing he is n.v t going to strike her and we thought maybe , not that I agree with the arrest , but maybe it was that thought process that got him arrested for it.

Phew I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought it was blown way out of proportion! As a former server for 6 years, I *know* _horrible_ customers, with stories that seem straight out of a movie. That girl sounded like she had an attitude from the start as well. He told her he wanted his foot long sandwich wrapped in 2 6-inch pieces. From what I gather, he told her at the end, right as she was cutting it in two on a single piece of paper. Her response to this last minute request was to say “Ok, but you needed to tell me from the beginning.” Now I imagine that was said with the same level of snarky attitude she let slip while talking to the cop and in the video of her following the dude out to his car. I was a little floored when I heard the cop go all in on Mr. Sandwich and thought I must have missed something in the video because it looked to me as you said, he shoved it on the floor (which is still ridiculous, but as any food service worker can tell you, not all that atypical.) Anyways, sorry for ranting, I was just going through the comments and was glad that _someone_ took the whole thing the way that I did…
