- In this video, I compare OEM, K&N air filter, then installing a cold air snorkel and show I shaved 1.8 seconds on my 0-60! It's still by no means faster than most cars on the road but it's definitely faster than before. It's not a perfect way of timing but it's something!

Nice DIY intake intake here! The back to back 0-60 runs were a good comparison. People will of course ask for dyno numbers, but not everyone has access to a dyno shop, time, and the associated cost. Good job!
Thanks! Yeah, I work with what I've got haha If someone wants to pay and provide the dyno, I'm more than happy to do so
@@helpmeboonmee Isn't there a phone app that has a virtual dyno feature? I've never used it but it sounds useful.
@@mostlyuselessgarage I’m not sure I’ve heard of it, I may have to take a look and possibly redo all of my intake mods if there is one!
found myself in the miata modification rabbit hole since it has a slightly newer version of the engine i'm looking to swap into my car. hopefully i can get a good reference from your videos
Aren't we all in that rabbit hole? haha I'm no expert but hopefully, my videos can help you. Good luck!
Nice car, I love the paint. Do you think its better to have a drop in filter for 280zx, or cold air intake? I don't mind if it removes stock intake, because I can just reinstall it.
Thanks! I appreciate it. I say do a cold air snorkel intake IF you are actually getting cold air. If it's just a cone filter, I think you can get the same power from a performance air filter. The cone filter just allows more air and that can be achieved by the box filters as well. Hopefully that helps!
