Yours was the only video I found for the 4.6 that included ALL of the connections behind the throttle body intake. They were giving me a headache trying to disassemble correctly yesterday and I eventually quit to do some research. If I'm successful with this repair, I owe it all to you and the man upstairs! Thank you

Thanks for the video. It’s very informative, I bought the original intake from Ford and they discounted it because I had previously bought a car from a different location that the dealer also owns. The first estimate I received was around $600 and then a mobile mechanic gave me a $350 estimate, but he faulted by not telling me he couldn’t keep his original date, so I decided to do it myself and save even more.

God bless you. I enjoyed watching you fixing the car. I think I have the same issue with my ford explorer. I changed the whole sparks and coils but still have misfire. I will do it by myself rather than take it to a mechanic. I'm not a mechanic but I'll give it a try.

Works Fine as Long as you Remove the spring clamp on the rear rubber boot near the 8 bolt and replace with a hose clamp. If you do not replace the spring clamp, you will blow the rubber boot right off and spray coolant all over the engine bay, down the road.

As we go through life, we often throw a bunch of intake error codes as well. We all breath oxygen, but if our internal mechanics, (I.e. our heart, our mind, our perspective), are not aligned correctly, our spiritual functioning can cause rough idling and inefficient use of our energy. But there is a mechanic we can trust! Don’t ignore the check engine light!

I read that some found it easier to tap the new manifold with the screws before installing it onto the engine. Any reason why not tap the new manifold while it's out?
Also, how are you getting into the engine bay since the vehicle has high ground clearance? I'm having to step into the truck.
I'm doing this job in the next two weeks. Thanks for this video along with the torque values.

If you put the 4wheel on will it reverse then . I only ask because I had a Silverado that did that . If I put it reverse and under no stress or real Acceleration it would move ebut as soon as I gave it gas it popped out of gear and just started grinding . But if I use my 4 wheel it didn't do it . Unfortunately what it was was the reverse was going out and thats all transmission issues . I had mine rebuilt and it never happened again .
